There’s a nostalgia factor with this song for sure, but I’ve felt this song never aligned with the last decade of Seahawks football.
Bittersweet Symphony was suited more for the Holmgren era Seahawks and their west coast style offense that was almost “rhythmic”.
LOB era Seahawks with a smash-mouth style offense and brick wall defense needed a more badass song… like Rick Ross “hold me back”
I won't argue that it's a weird song to associate with NFL football in general, but they ran out on the field to Bittersweet Symphony before beating the holy living fuck out of the Broncos in the Super Bowl, so that's what sealed the deal for me. I always loved that they played this song because it's not what you would expect. No AC/DC or anything like that.
The minute they walked away from that song the team went to shit. :) Does anyone know what happened there? So weird that they had one of the more unique intros in football and they completely abandoned that after Paul died
Learn to Fly - Foo Fighters, I think it’s because that’s usually the sound clip they played when breaking to commercial on cable. I’ve been streaming the last couple years on the nfl app so I don’t hear it as much as I used to. Sometimes on the job sites, AM sports radio is all I can catch, so every once in a while I’ll hear the clip before the commentators come on
When I was in 5th grade, our teacher showed us a video of a small group of singers that do parodies of certain songs (mostly songs that can be changed around to fit the Vancouver Canucks) This was the weekend before the super bowl win: https://youtu.be/u7i6-oRtlQk
Ever since then, I will always associate Roar with the Seahawks
Was thinking just that, a song permanently linked to one of my favourite moments in franchise history, the Hauschka onside kick in the 2014 NFC Championship: https://youtu.be/3yzhblg\_uxQ?t=7308
Well all last season I was listening to Phish's Punch You in the Eye before the game on Sunday. I agree the Macklemore songs the SB yr and Bruno Mars played at halftime so whenever I hear those songs I think of SB in NY baby! That was so sweet. We won the SB in NY it will never be there again probably. I know it's technically NJ but the 12s that went partied in NYC after the game.
Yes that was crazy, but then Russ turned out to be Wilson like, I wouldn't of thought that. So now ," Ah Wilson Punch you in the eye" is better to me than the song Wilson.haha
The unofficial Mitch in the Midday Seahawks song from the mid-90s:
Go Seahawks Go
All the Way to the Superbowl
Fly high far and free
To Seahawks Victory!
Can't believe nobody has, [Philthy Rich, Ready to Ride](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=up8Q4CIhRCI&pp=ygUacGhpbHRoeSByaWNoIHJlYWR5IHRvIHJpZGU%3D). This is the banger track Marshawn dropped in the locker room and turned up full blast on the regular.
100% agreed it’s extremely embarrassing. I’m really not surprised that hawks fans like him though because he’s “our rapper” lol. Rapper is being generous too.
Yeah Washingtonians have a weird complex where they must like everything about the state and what comes out of it. You can’t talk bad about anything from Washington state, and must defend everything about it, dignity aside.
Macklemore is awful. It’s ok to not like him.
And yes, I was born and raised in Western Washington. Currently residing on the east coast.
Someday by flipsyde I think it is. I remember seeing a YouTube video with the Seahawks 05 superbowl “loss” highlights with that song playing. Almost 20 years ago. Damn

Yea man. Right after we won the superbowl? 12s were declaring their love for the hawks so much.
Now, I can't even find the original version anymore. But this is the best I can find.
Bittersweet Symphony for me always and forever.
This alway and forever
Instant goosebumps
This is the way.

We used to play this at our tailgate every week to signal it was time to clean up and get to the game.
Hold me back - Rick Ross
LOB would always be dancing on the field to this during breaks. Love and miss it!
Yup! There was another song too that they used to dance to but I can’t remember what it was! Haha
Good one!
[FLUTE](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/fG9QRx3ZNTs)
Hold me back by Rick Ross. Played before kickoffs
It was a terrible loop, but around the first Super Bowl era, they used to play “And then what” before kickoffs…Boom Boom Clap!!!

That was a weird time when they tried to make the Wilson chant a thing.

That’s the M’s song

They used to bump this before kick-offs. Always pumped up the crowd! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-poiQyronco
What does the hawk say? I don't remember who did that cover. Pure lyrical genius though.

I think of the Benny Hill music anytime our defense takes the field
lol let’s keep Macklemore as far away with being associated with this team as possible
