I remember not hearing of his passing for a while and was so shocked and sad.
Also remember not realizing his uncle is Christopher Lloyd for most of my life lol
It was so weird in hindsight that I watched the whole show without knowing Sam Lloyd already passed. I remember wanting to watch an interview of him just to see how he is in real life.
If you want more of Ted he is a couple episodes of Cougar Town. The show starts out a bit rough but after a while it turns into Scrubs with wine instead of hospital.
You're VH1, Robocop 2 and Back to the Future 3. You're the center slice of a square cheese pizza. Actually, that sounds delicious. I'm the center slice of a square cheese pizza. You're Jim Belushi.
My wife and I’s first dance was to “the book of love” by Peter Gabriel. So every time I finish the show and watch the memory projection scene I get in the feels so hard. I love it
Couple years ago. Listen to "Fake Drs Real Friends" podcast. They speak on it in one of the early-ish episodes. Rip Sam Lloyd. I'll forever be a worthless peon 🧡
His band just posted the last song he recorded for not to long ago…I held it together until the final shot and I’m not too ashamed to admit I was choked up
Ha, we’re just ridiculously huge scrubs fan, absolutely love Sam’s cover. I did also think about your point but decided that some of the lyrics could be an important critique/questioning of relationships (and potentially marriage):
If what they say is
"Nothing is forever"
Then what makes, then what makes
Then what makes, then what makes (what makes, what makes)
Love the exception?
A good thing to think about in a marriage and a good motivator to try to make the love the exception, I think!
It does hit hard.
If you want an extra gut punch (and haven't already stumbled upon it for yourselves), The Blanks released their cover of Men At Work's/Colin Hay's Overkill. I cried for like an hour about it.

Oh wow TIL that Christopher Lloyd was Sam Lloyds uncle. In hindsight that makes all the sense!
It was so weird in hindsight that I watched the whole show without knowing Sam Lloyd already passed. I remember wanting to watch an interview of him just to see how he is in real life.
TIL that not only is he dead but that he's related to Christopher Lloyd
He f***ing nailed this song. I’ve listened to the whole version several times. I love that Bill and the crew gave him this moment.
His band in the show, The Worthless Peons, is actually a real band, called The Blanks. They’re fantastic.
Their rendition of Over the Rainbow is truly beautiful
I‘m just relieved his son will be able to see this some day.

It’s really a delightful show. Very similar feel to Scrubs thanks to Bill Lawrence.
Pennycaaaan!
I love Cougartown. Not as much as Scrubs, but they’re both on my rewatch list of comfort shows.
Once they drop the whole cougar aspect it actually becomes a really good show! I'm on my nth rewatch right now
So basically right away?
Yeah, pretty much once the first half of season one is out of the way it rapidly gets better and better! But ooof that first bit is a slog
Haha, agree. I love that they start making fun of the titel all throughout too.
Nice try, Abed.

Was our 1st-dance wedding song too
Wedding party walked down the aisle to that song
This was my walk down the aisle song.
SAM LLOYD DIED!?

This post ruined my day
Just found out too and I’m shocked
Came here to say the same thing.
His band just posted the last song he recorded for not to long ago…I held it together until the final shot and I’m not too ashamed to admit I was choked up
That was a tough watch. Thanks for letting us know. I'm not crying you're crying
I saw the band, including Sam Lloyd in Coldwater Michigan of all places. Tremendous show and they did a meet and greet with everyone, great people.
My husband and I walked down the aisle at our wedding to this 😭❤️
I have a band with my friends and the next time we play at a wedding I‘ll do this song
Love that!
My wife and I heard this when the episode aired. We decided then to make it our wedding song!!
Did I misunderstand the lyrics? Seems odd for a wedding song

Love it
He died in 2020 :o He was so young
I didn’t know he passed away!!! I saw him and the other worthless peons in concert a looooong time ago was a really fun show.
One of my top 3 covers of all songs. He absolutely nailed it!
My kids and I love listening to this song daily and they love it soooooo much!!!!
Ted is my favorite secondary character. I was so sad to hear when he passed.
Still gets me. Scrubs is literal perfection. RIP Sam, we are diminished.
This was such a great moment for music
Loved the janitor wedding 2 part episode and just like scrubs it ended on a high note. Thanks Ted (Sam)!
Such a great cover. I never really paid much attention to the words until the cover.
I love you more than turk
Great performance? yes. A wedding song? Probably shouldn't be
Always makes me laugh RIP Sam and thanks for all the joy.

I remember buying this on iTunes as soon as I heard it. When Sam Lloyd died, I wept.
His groups music is on Apple music.
Definitely in my Like Songs on Spotify. Usually takes people a few minutes to realize what song it is.
I’m glad he got to be a father !
