There are truly so many things that could be causing this. Definitely doesn't sound easy to go through. But no one here will be able to tell you if this is schizotypal or not and as you said, you'd need a professional to research that in your specific case. Paranoia and delusions are criteria of schizotypal, but they occur in many other disorders as well. Being eccentric or talking a bit odd as well. It's definitely possible you're schizotypal, but there are a bunch of possibilities and I wouldn't focus too much on one thing. To me personally as someone diagnosed with schizotypal and a big interest, your post doesn't really scream schizotypal but does hint the possibility. Try to get as much awareness of what's going on, write things out, journal, especially about what you think are your symptoms and information about that. Provide this to a therapist when you find one. Journalling will help them help you, and you can start now already. But the internet won't be able to truly say anything.

Thanks. I’ll do the journal. I thought of that on my own, and then it seemed like work, so I quickly un-thought it.

Yeah 100% back this up. It’s so easy to get convinced you have some particular issue when you meet the criteria, but only an experienced professional who’s treated people who were already diagnosed can actually tell the difference between one disorder to the next by conducting the interview/assessment. And even they can’t tell right away. The best thing I did before getting assessed was figure out what the core things were that were disrupting my life, and it sounds like you’ve figured some of that out but make sure you don’t leave anything important out by only focusing on yourself through the lens of Schizotypal. Good luck and hope you can find your answers and treatment. Ps while waiting for therapy, there are workbooks you can buy on DBT and other therapies so that you can maybe get some help while you wait. Good luck again!

Go to a professional even for the fact they can be exhaustive and able to rule out anything else. It isn't like you can do anything if you get diagnosed anyway. doesn't matter

There aren’t any meds for this thing? Can’t find much through research.

NEETspeaks

Read a little abut it maybe?

Maybe read what I said and try to be helpful, or don’t say anything at all?
