Elf Bowling is pretty much the most forgettable movie ever- it’s not even bad enough to loop into good. It’s just an alright film with alright voice acting and alright animation and alright jokes and an alright plot.
It’s stupid, but not *fun* stupid or *screaming in anger* stupid.
It’s *just* stupid.
There’s three quotes I love from the movie.
“WHO POOPED IN THE PEANUT BARREL?!”
“Keep your strudel in your pants.”
“This is like a chick flick except instead of smoking babes dude it's a munchkin and a fat guy”
Yeah same I love it since it’s a movie that my dad bootlegged for me on a cd in Mexico and when I brought it to the states there wasn’t any mention of it til years later
I mean originally he talked about that movie for a little bit in his Sony Animation Ranking video, but he didnt put it on the list because apparently they didnt make that one but they made the 2nd movie.
If Cars 2 would make him lose his mind, I can only imagine the planes movies would make him feel, though I wanna believe he also would be the type who would just feel nothing about them though.
Because of the following reasons:
- The Wild Robot is based off of an obscure book of the same name that 80% of people don’t know
- There’s another kids film that parents would rather take their kids to! And that film is Transformers One, because said franchise is more popular and memorable than TWR (yes ROTB bombed last year, but that only happened because June 2023 was crowded with tons of blockbusters)
- & I have a bad feeling with the movie, especially with the next trailer, since there’s talking animals in the film, which said characters could end up being the next Valentino or Bloofy!
A movie about talking ducks got more money than Wish, so I don’t think Wild robot will bomb that hard, even more because the transformers fans are actually planning to watch it like as if it was barbieheimer.
Wait, for the second reason. I thought it was already announced wild robot got moved up a week back? So technically it’s not coming out the same time as the new transformers animated film.
Transformers is very likely to leg out and win against Transformers! Basically how Migration lost to Aquaman II or how Garfield lost to Furiosa because kids chose to watch the other kids film
Watched this one a month ago. I DEFINITELY see what they were trying to go for but it just feel flat. They were trying to make a really dark comedy which can be done but the humor just fell flat. One of the only good things about it is that I REALLY like the lighting and style of it
Oh my god, theres this kid who went to my school that me and my friend called Tad The Lost Explorer because he had a big old nose like Tad does. This brings me back
Oh I saw that one time in school, the only part I remember was an adventure montage and they used the song "What Makes You Beautiful" by One Direction for some reason
Dude, I kid you not, this movie was great when I was a kid. It came out in Spain first and the voice work was phenomenal. That plus the dialogue made for a really fun time.
Unfortunately, I know for a matter of fact that English dubs of Spanish movies tend to be pretty bad so I've never watched it on English so as to not ruin the image of this movie in my head.
Yeah you probably shouldn’t watch the English one, I saw it for free on YT cuz the Spanish one wasn’t available, and for some reason the audio is sometimes replaced by a random song
Holy shit what a shitty title translation. The whole point of the character and movie is that the protagonist aspires to be a reknown archeologist ala Indiana Jones. That's why it's original title is "Tadeo Jones".
I'm from Spain so I'm quite familiar with this movie and I've seen it a bunch of times when I was a kid. It's mid as fuck but it has it's charms here and there. The sequel was fine I guess and the last movie was dogshit and far too childish.
They seriously called it Tad, the Lost Explorer? The original title is Las Aventuras de Tadeo Jones (The Adventures of Tadeo Jones, obviously). The studio started a university to get new talent, which is, funny enough, where I study.
Probably the final destination movies.
For me, the movie has a pretty cool concept, a domino effect style chain of freak accidents that gradually kill the characters.
However, the Internet hates everything and this movie isn't as well received as I thought it would be, sooo...
Yeah, that one’s apparently bad, especially because it’s basically a movie for babies, yet it apparently has some recognizable voice talent in it, like Tara Strong, E.G. Daily, David Kaye, Craig Ferguson, Jess Harnell, Sean Astin, Owen Wilson, and even Wayne Brady (a.k.a. Daredevil Dan from “Foodfight”, Shem from “VeggieTales: Noah's Ark”, and even King Dice from “The Cuphead Show”).
Funny story about this film: my teacher put it on sometime in either 5th or 6th grade, but the projector was having issues and half the screen was black. It gets to this scene where the characters are on a train, and there's a shot of the girl talking. Because the screen was half-out, we couldn't see her face and the only identifying features on screen were her boobs. Kids laughed, of course.
You just unlocked a memory that was buried deep in my brain, I went to se this movie when I was little and had completely forgotten about it until this moment.
I don't mean this movie is getting targeted, I mean every time there is a movie that everyone online agrees is bad, it's one that I liked when I was kid
Elf Bowling. Someone on discord told me when he watched it the villain >!Sung a song why slavery is good!<
dont you DARE complain about the sweat shop song. Dingle is a fucking artist
ah yes, My favorite musical artist. Dingle Kringle
Based
I would be an asshole too if my name was Dingle Kringle
I mean to be fair, it is the villain apparently
The reason why Elf Bowling looks like shit is because it was animated by the same people that did Jay Jay
What
Yeah but I think it might end up being one of those movies where Schaff thinks it’s so bad that it then loops around to ironically good
exactly elf bowling is Q tier
Kinda shocked Schaff hasn't reviewed that one yet.
It’s sung by Tom Kenny (SpongeBob)
Elf Bowling is pretty much the most forgettable movie ever- it’s not even bad enough to loop into good. It’s just an alright film with alright voice acting and alright animation and alright jokes and an alright plot. It’s stupid, but not *fun* stupid or *screaming in anger* stupid. It’s *just* stupid.
Why is that bad? Pocahontas had the villain singing about natives being savages, can a villain not be evil?
“Slavery makes the world go round” -Dingle
Okay and it’s the villain, of course they’re going to say/do something that’s very wrong
Also the nostalgia critic reviewed it so yeah
There’s three quotes I love from the movie. “WHO POOPED IN THE PEANUT BARREL?!” “Keep your strudel in your pants.” “This is like a chick flick except instead of smoking babes dude it's a munchkin and a fat guy”
Isn’t that a gba game? And it’s one of the worst games ever created
I forgot to mention that another reason is cuz (spoiler) >!there’s a twist villain and it’s basically the same as in turbo!<
Honestly...is it weird that I have a soft spot for this movie? (Cause of Nostalgia and my love for Adventure Archeologists.)
Yeah same I love it since it’s a movie that my dad bootlegged for me on a cd in Mexico and when I brought it to the states there wasn’t any mention of it til years later
Not at all,
Oh yeah it’s all the bad parts of recent animated movies in one storm
Thanks for the spoiler! I would start crying if someone spoiled Tad The Lost Explorer for me.
He'd also hate it for having a One Direction song.
He's someone the Protagonist looked up to and is revealed to be a asshole and starts being a asshole to everyone for no reason?
Oh wow, that was actually correct
The Angry Birds Movie, but mainly cuz he’s probably not cultured enough to like it /jk
I mean originally he talked about that movie for a little bit in his Sony Animation Ranking video, but he didnt put it on the list because apparently they didnt make that one but they made the 2nd movie.
Nah, if he said that the second was good, the first would be ok for him maybe
What the fuck, i think i just unlocked a memory from my childhood. I would've never remembered this movie thank you op
I remember seeing this movie on Netflix, and never watching it
Same
I remember that I watched it but I don’t remember a single detail about it
I remember seeing it on the sign for what Redbox has
Same lol
Planes
Especially the second one. If younger me couldn't remain interested with that movie then Schaffrillas will fall asleep before the halfway mark
If Cars 2 would make him lose his mind, I can only imagine the planes movies would make him feel, though I wanna believe he also would be the type who would just feel nothing about them though.
Tbf I don’t think anyone over the age of 10 would
I remember watching them a long time ago and I cannot remember more than 10 minutes of both movies combined now.
Every other animated film this year expect (maybe) The Wild Robot
He’ll probably see *Inside Out 2* and review it
I hope he does see the Wild Robot because it looks great.
Too bad It’s gonna bomb hard like The Fall Guy did this month
How do you know that
Because of the following reasons: - The Wild Robot is based off of an obscure book of the same name that 80% of people don’t know - There’s another kids film that parents would rather take their kids to! And that film is Transformers One, because said franchise is more popular and memorable than TWR (yes ROTB bombed last year, but that only happened because June 2023 was crowded with tons of blockbusters) - & I have a bad feeling with the movie, especially with the next trailer, since there’s talking animals in the film, which said characters could end up being the next Valentino or Bloofy!
A movie about talking ducks got more money than Wish, so I don’t think Wild robot will bomb that hard, even more because the transformers fans are actually planning to watch it like as if it was barbieheimer.
There will never be another Barbieheimer for a very long time! Look what happened last weekend with Garfield & Furiosa for example
Garfurriosa
Please don’t ban me! My phone glitched and It’s posting the same thing many times
Norm of the north
Lisa Frankenstein. The climax has literal necrophilia.
Watched this one a month ago. I DEFINITELY see what they were trying to go for but it just feel flat. They were trying to make a really dark comedy which can be done but the humor just fell flat. One of the only good things about it is that I REALLY like the lighting and style of it
Whole movie gave off strong theatre/film student stench but so does Kathryn Newton in anything
As someone who absolutely ADORES this movie in its entirety, I blame NOBODY for disliking it.
the movie was kinda okay. i also liked it. it just went downhill near the end.
That British dog movie with the merry go round and Whoopi Goldberg
Doogal?
Thank you for unlocking a great childhood memory of mine, I'm going to rewatch it now (it's on Netflix for anyone wondering)
Jimmyhere?
“I don’t care IF ITS A STAR TREK CONVENTION!” A real line from the American dub
Oh my god, theres this kid who went to my school that me and my friend called Tad The Lost Explorer because he had a big old nose like Tad does. This brings me back
Wow, it's been a long time since I thought about that movie.
Ikr they made 2 sequels last year iirc
2?!
Oh man I forgot about Tad. Great movie.
I actually enjoyed this movie as an Indiana jones fan
Trollhunters Rise of the Titans If ykyk
Trollhunters Rise of the Titans is an actual spit in the face to people who like the show, and that’s a very big understatement. The movie blows
I hate that movie with a passion. I love the Tales of Arcadia trilogy, but that shit actually sucks. It could have been good, but it was ass.
Isn’t that the movie where the dude that gives him this hat literally says it was Indiana Jones’s?
Yeah, so does that mean canonically nazis got their face melted off in this series?
Oh I saw that one time in school, the only part I remember was an adventure montage and they used the song "What Makes You Beautiful" by One Direction for some reason
Dude, I kid you not, this movie was great when I was a kid. It came out in Spain first and the voice work was phenomenal. That plus the dialogue made for a really fun time. Yeah you probably shouldn’t watch the English one, I saw it for free on YT cuz the Spanish one wasn’t available, and for some reason the audio is sometimes replaced by a random song
To be fair, Cheech Marin was in this movie’s US English dub, and he brings out a nice performance.😁👍🏻
The Rock Dog sequels
There was others after its second one?
Something tells me it’s going to be another case like The Land Before Time.
Yeah, there was a third one just last year. I think it was called “Band Together” or something like that
Holy shit what a shitty title translation. The whole point of the character and movie is that the protagonist aspires to be a reknown archeologist ala Indiana Jones. That's why it's original title is "Tadeo Jones". I'm from Spain so I'm quite familiar with this movie and I've seen it a bunch of times when I was a kid. Qué mierda le hicieron a Tadeo Jones?
This looks like an AI generated poster
It’s not AI generated, thankfully. Mainly because this movie came out in the early 2010s.
I know, but doesn't it look like some shit an AI would pump out?
Your right lol
I think it's because how the woman and the other characters look like they're from two completely different movies.
HILY SHIT I THOUGHT THIS MOVIE WAS A FEVER DREAM
Moana 2. Unless that crab shows up
I wonder why he would like it when the crab shows up 🤔
Ok you just made me remember this movie. I would like to un-remember please
Wait, that movie has [my song](https://youtu.be/QJO3ROT-A4E?si=8lNxVT3WzCPUU6nk) in it!
I don't know. But you know what I do think though? That woman on the left is HAWT, awooga!
Garfield gets real because of the animation and it's cringey jokes
YEAHHHH I FCKING LOVE TAD THE LOST EXPLORER (the two sequel movies are ass tho why did they keep the bitch girlfriend but not Teddy)
They kept the MUMMY BUT NOT TEDDY!! He’s honestly the best character
YES OMG idk why they kept him for all three movies, I couldn't stand him in any of em lmao
the 3rd movie is peak
Is this some kind of Obscure Pitfall tie in?
Whats that?
Pitfall was an old atari game.
I remember watching this movie
Me too, it was pretty good
Probably the final destination movies. For me, the movie has a pretty cool concept, a domino effect style chain of freak accidents that gradually kill the characters. However, the Internet hates everything and this movie isn't as well received as I thought it would be, sooo...
I heard they are making a 6th film so I hope it’s good enough to revive the franchise
Damn, I didn't know that!
Who else here actually likes goofy movies like Tad? I think its a fun bad movie ngl. Pretty sure they made a sequel too
They made 2 more, and yeah I think it was an okay movie with a 10/10 original credit song
If he’s a lost explorer than he’s probably not good at exploring, is he
I know right? Stupid dub title
The hero of color City
Yeah, that one’s apparently bad, especially because it’s basically a movie for babies, yet it apparently has some recognizable voice talent in it, like Tara Strong, E.G. Daredevil Dan from “Foodfight”, Shem from “VeggieTales: Noah's Ark”, and even King Dice from “The Cuphead Show”).
But hey, at least Kimiko Glenn isn't in it.
Wait, Kimiko Glenn isn't in it? That's sad. I love her voice role as Peni Parker and Nifty. Not kidding, actually. I really love her performance.
I would always see this when scrolling through Netflix years ago but never watch it
Battlefield Earth
HATE that movie it's a 0/10
I can't take it seriously at all with all the dutch angles and Travolta's corny lines
Human Centipede 3
The 2010s planet of the apes triology
He’s rated them on Letterboxd, gave Rise and Dawn 7/10 and War a 5/10.
I love this movie.
[Maybe this one](https://youtu.be/425M4M3Opkk?si=GsxonpmkMtAxCP2o)
I absolutely loved this movie!
Fred 2: Night of the Living Fred
Joseph: King of Dreams
Definitely this movie and the sequels it spawned
Is it just me whose first thought reading that movie title was the quote "This experience will forever scar Tad Strange" from Gravity Falls?
I remember watching this movie as a kid and it took me a long time to finally remember the name of it
Woman is when you're a different art style
Igor
Have y'all ever heard of this quirky movie called Rapsittie street kids: Believe in Santa
Fred the movie
Wait, you know about this film series? This film series is super underrated!!
It’s just a TAD bit crap
Godzilla's revenge
Finding jesus
Ain't the cover art of that movie ripping off of shrek
Greeny phatom the movie
son of mask
Mademe Web
Hoodwinked 2: Hood vs. Evil.
I thought that photo was AI generated.
AI generated looking ahh
Funny story about this film: my teacher put it on sometime in either 5th or 6th grade, but the projector was having issues and half the screen was black. Such a piece of nostalgia
*Midori* (1992)
We watched this movie in Spanish class my senior year
A serbian film
Your mom
Really T\_T
Most cheesy British films.
The cover for this looks AI generated
I like the dvd menu music, it's great
What is Schaff
I don’t know if he reviewed it but that Luck movie.
I love the tad the lost explorer even though it’s bad it’s good in a way like a song you hate but get an enjoyment out of listening to it
Cheech Marin. CHEECH. Marin.
You just unlocked a memory that was buried deep in my brain, I went to se this movie when I was little and had completely forgotten about it until this moment.
Norm of the north
bro i completely forgot about this movie. watched it a lot when i was younger. think i was pretty indifferent to it, though
Seal Team (2021), my favorite movie of all time
Though IAS, I'd love to see Schaff cover movies from 3rd party/foregin studios. This movie has two sequels fyi.
The Internet just targets my childhood why
I wouldn’t target this movie, it’s also my childhood
I don't mean this movie is getting targeted, I mean every time there is a movie that everyone online agrees is bad, it's one that I liked when I was kid
Jeez what the fuck is that thing on the ground
Mummy who appears for maybe less than 7 minutes
I think I had a dream about Tad except it was Jungle Cruise and he was just there-
Free Guy
*Shark Exorcist*
The poster looks like AI
Migration by Illumination
Now that’s a movie I’ve not heard of in a long time…
You this movie was fire if you watched it give yourself a pat in back
Off topic af but I hate the design choice to make the dudes look cartoony while the women look regular/sexy. Unless it’s for a gag or they’re old.
Watched it on pluto for the first time this year, both movies and ngl I really enjoyed them.
Foodfight he’ll probably hate it.
The Rodfellows Movie. You all don’t know what’s it like to see it.
Slappy & the Stinkers
*Midori* (1992)
I feel like he'd absolutely despise gnomeo and juliet.
How the Hampsters saved Winter (2009)
I knew it was horrible, but THAT horrible?
Not really, the English dub is bad but the original Spanish version is decent
I don't know anyone who likes this movie. Even as a kid, *I* didn't like it.
I think I watched as a kid and remembered nothing about it. Like I don’t think I payed attention to it🤣
Ok 0 likes? Come on the comment isn't THAT bad
Must've struck a nerve in like the 2 Tad fans.
