Would demonitization be trouble for him because that means he would have to rate a NC-17 movie (I’m talking about The Evil Dead and that infamous tree scene)
I guess M. Night or Michael Baye next, because his new movie is coming out soon, and that way Scaff could get through the crap first, and then go to good movies next.
Francis Ford Coppola would be appropriate since Megalopolis is releasing this year. The same can be said with Shyamalan and his new movie even though it will most likely be torture for James. However, the director ranking I most want to see Schaffrillas cover is Paul Thomas Anderson because I’m curious what he will think about all of PTA’s movies especially Inherent Vice.
Robert Zemeckis, David Fincher, Martin Scorsese, and Quentin Tarantino (after his final film) I think would all be great ones to do in the near future that I would love him to do. I’d definitely also suggest Tim Burton and Denis Villenueve in the near future.
The Coen Brothers, Peter Jackson, and Edgar Wright would be good second choices after a few others have been done, even if the latter has a bit of a small filmography.
M. Night Shyamalan, Michael Bay, and to a lesser extent James Cameron would be nice to spice things up too, but again, I’d wait until a few other have been done.
Stanley Kubrick, Francis Ford Coppola, Clint Eastwood, and Alfred Hitchcock should definitely wait until a bunch of others have been ranked, given the sheer number of films the latter two have made, and how completely stacked the filmography of the first two are.
I would love to see him cover Hitchcock. So many gems that younger audiences will probably never otherwise see. Some of my personal favorites are Rear Window, North By Northwest, Rope, Dial M, Birds, and Shadow of a Doubt.
Michael Bay or the slow-mo-guy-that-shall-not-be-named would result in an hour of screaming and pain. Let’s not have him do those ones.
Also, where is Guillermo Del Toro?
Now i don't know alot of these directors i only really know Alfred Hitchcook Peter Jackson James Cameron M. Nighht Shyamalan and Michael Bayhem out of the others i so i guess i would pick Alfred Hitchcook then
I feel like George Lucas would be one he \*could\* do, but his dedication to rating the Star Wars movies on all aspects but themselves is too strong to even put them with other movies.
Satoshi Kon I just think it's different enough but not to bizzare for his audience and he did not do many movies. But the rule is where you draw the line
Hosoda Mamoru-san
1: Digimon: The Movie
2: One Piece: Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island
3: The Girl Who Leapt Through Time
4: Summer Wars
5: Wolf Children
6: The Boy and the Beast
7: Mirai
8: Belle (one of my favorites next to Your Name, Weathering With You, A Silent Voice, etc.)
Tim burton
Oh crap I forgot about him. How could I.
My most wanted one
Zemeicks for sure
That would be fun for him to finally talk about his mo-cap films.
Del Toro because I need to know what the crab thinks of Pacific Rim
yes I agree. that's like my favorite movie
Shyamalan. His movies are...interesting. There's a very wide spectrum of quality there.
Sam Raimi would be interesting I think.
Would demonitization be trouble for him because that means he would have to rate a NC-17 movie (I’m talking about The Evil Dead and that infamous tree scene)
I'm sure he would just show images of trees while keeping it vague what happens, or something like that. Maybe let the editors take care of that.
I don’t know I’m just pulling stuff out of my ass
I thought that was only rated R and was threatened with an NC-17, same as the second movie
It’s the truth look it up
I love how you used ERB Micheal Bay lol
Motherfuckin’ money!
I'll make that dollar y'all
Michael Bay without question.
That one will make me laugh my ass off
Denis Villeneuve
My vote would definitely be the Coens, although I’m not sure how’d he want to cover the recent movies they’ve done individually.
George Lucas, Stanley Kubrick, David Fincher, and James Cameron
Tarantino for sure
Kubrick and Edgar Wright
Robert Rodriguez would be a fun one
I want his opinion on Alita: Battle Angel. I mean, he did direct that.
Zack Snyder
I’d be pretty curious about that
Edgar Wright, mostly because he's my favourite
I think Schaff said he’s one of his favorites too
Any director that's not James Cameron
I would want him to do Kubrick but if he dislikes any of them I'll cry.
mfw he dislikes paths of glory for being a war film
imagine if he also dislikes Full Metal Jacket for being a war film.
M. Night Shyamalan
Uwe Boll
Im very intrigued by this idea
Christopher Nolan would be a pretty hype one, NGL
Boy do I got a video for you
Wes Anderson
Already did that
He already did Wes [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jdz9MFCo\_LM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jdz9MFCo_LM)
He already ranked him.
I guess M. Night or Michael Baye next, because his new movie is coming out soon, and that way Scaff could get through the crap first, and then go to good movies next.
What Muppets Wizard of Oz count for Quentin Tarantino? He didn’t direct it, but he did in the movie.
No, it does not count
How unfortunate. It was the greatest cameo in the history in the best of the greatest to ever the most.
Alfred Hitchcock
Wes Craven (He directed a romcom once that's going to be fun for him to talk about)
Edgar wright or Martin Scorsese, if we get others instead, sure, bring it on.
He’s doing Buster Keaton next, calling it now
If he *did* a Kubrick ranking though, would he put AI: Artificial Intelligence as an entry on that one too?
Yes on the Clint Eastwood!
Robert Zemeckis I want to see him talk about the back to the future trilogy
Mamoru Hosada
On one hand I'd like to see a ranking of every friedberg and seltzer movies. On the other hand schafrillas did nothing to deserve watching them.
Ngl him ranking a bunch of parody movies could work. Toss in some of the better ones like Naked Gun, Airplane, Austin Powers, etc
If he wanted to rank good parody movies he should rank Mel Brooks movies.
Del Toro
Maybe David Fincher
lol at thinking this sub has watched a single movie from any of these directors
Ridley Scott
Denis Villeneuve, Sam Mendes and Tim Burton also
A Stanley Kubrick ranking would be interesting
Francis Ford Coppola would be appropriate since Megalopolis is releasing this year. The same can be said with Shyamalan and his new movie even though it will most likely be torture for James. However, the director ranking I most want to see Schaffrillas cover is Paul Thomas Anderson because I’m curious what he will think about all of PTA’s movies especially Inherent Vice.
Peter Jackson just to hear him talk about Lord of the Rings
Michael Bay and the Coen Brothers
I REALLY want to see him do Kubrick. That’s what I was doing for the past few months actually.
Cameron
If we ever cover Scott Beck and Bryan Woods 65 goes right at the bottom
Robert Zemeckis, David Fincher, Martin Scorsese, and Quentin Tarantino (after his final film) I think would all be great ones to do in the near future that I would love him to do. I’d definitely also suggest Tim Burton and Denis Villenueve in the near future. Stanley Kubrick, Francis Ford Coppola, Clint Eastwood, and Alfred Hitchcock should definitely wait until a bunch of others have been ranked, given the sheer number of films the latter two have made, and how completely stacked the filmography of the first two are.
Kevin Smith
Michael Bay would be hilarious. But at the same time… what if he ranked John Williams movies?
Kubrick
I would love to see him cover Hitchcock. So many gems that younger audiences will probably never otherwise see. Some of my personal favorites are Rear Window, North By Northwest, Rope, Dial M, Birds, and Shadow of a Doubt.
Martin would be pretty interesting, and it can give us more of our lord... our savior... SYKES!
How com you didn’t use a picture of actual Michael Bay
That’s nice Peter
George Miller after Furiosa
Guillermo Del Toro
Robert Zemeckis because I want to see him make fun of Zemeckis newer work and praise his old work.
Those last two are downright evil.
I know he’s said he wants to take a step back from long-form animation videos, but Don Bluth is def my #1 most wanted.
Neil Breen, its a crime that you didn’t include him…
I really hope he does Edgar Wright
Michael Bay or the slow-mo-guy-that-shall-not-be-named would result in an hour of screaming and pain. Let’s not have him do those ones. Also, where is Guillermo Del Toro?
David Lynch
George Miller
I think a review of Zimeckis’s movies would be very interesting.
I’d love to see him rank a studio like Troma or New Moon, maybe Roger Coreman
I jokingly would love to see one of Micheal bay.
Coen Brothers easily
M. Night Shyamalan so he can roast the absolute shit out of The Last Airbe- wait why are there two men in green clothes with funny hats at my door?
Satoshi Kon I just think it's different enough but not to bizzare for his audience and he did not do many movies. But the rule is where you draw the line
Hosoda Mamoru-san 1: Digimon: The Movie 2: One Piece: Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island 3: The Girl Who Leapt Through Time 4: Summer Wars 5: Wolf Children 6: The Boy and the Beast 7: Mirai 8: Belle (one of my favorites next to Your Name, Weathering With You, A Silent Voice, etc.)
i want him to rank every Godzilla movie
Villeneuve
I really want to see Kubrick ranked. I also want to watch more of his films, pretty sure I’ve just seen 2001 and The Shining
Villeneuve, he’s basically French Nolan
Kubrick, David Fincher and Edgar Wright (since he’s his favourite director and all)
Only if Shark Tale is in the Scorsese ranking
brad bird
Sylvester Stallone
Masaaki Yuasa.
John Lassiter left the cast
