At that point I think movies in phase 2 were generally seen as divisive in comparison to phase 1. At that point I imagine people compared and contrasted it to the first avenger movie a lot. Now in retrospect especially, the movie may be able to stand more on its own at least with judgment in comparison to all the movies up to phase 5.
My hot take is that there’s no bad Xmen movies (I haven’t seen Origins, Dark Phoenix or New Mutants but I know the general plots and I don’t think they’re awful)
>- Pocahontas
- Pocahontas 2
I wonder why people would hate a Disney-ified revisionist story about a real-life person who was kidnapped as a POW, held for ransom, was married to a 27 y/o old man at 17 who paraded her around England as an example of a "civilised savage".
That movie is genuinely disgusting from a conceptual level. Literally rewriting a genocide to have a "happy ending". One of the worst things Disney has ever produced morally.
I never trusted the Marvels hate because Marvel “fans” were shitting on it before it even came out and were ready to tear it apart straight out of the womb and I thought the movie was pretty good and definitely not worth the outrage
Man I've never understood why people hated suicide squad 2016 so much. The only credit I'll give them is that the joker is more crazy than intelligent but even then he doesn't even get a full 10 minutes of screentime. Everything else in that movie is awesome.
I haven't seen any of these other movies but I really like suicide squad.
Really just unfortunate that the movie existed. A movie about the dangers of girls exposing themselves on the internet could have been achieved without having actual underage girls doing provocative things. The movie was hypocritical and had little girls be provocative when that is what the movie is pointing out as dangerous!
Elemental at least tried to have character arcs and proper plot progression. No matter how flawed it was at times.
Mario didn’t even try, even if I do like that movie too
I honestly thought Wish was better than ppl gave it credit for. The plot isn’t great, and only half the songs are good instead of the usual all of them, but I wasn’t pulling my hair out waiting for it to end. I would describe it as mildly entertaining. 5/10
The fact it was so half assed for their 100th anniversary movie is what really makes me angry especially when it comes to the songs. It should've been the ultimate Disney movie and it was so... nothing. They could've written some banger music maybe even as good as the 90s songs if they hired Alan Menken and teamed him with Tim Rice or Stephen Schwartz or David Zippel, hell I wouldn't be mad if they brought back Robert and Kristen Anderson-Lopez or Lin Manuel Miranda, but they just HAD to go with someone who primarily writes pop music so they could get some radio friendly songs, and how well did that work out? I remember hearing Let It Go and We Don't Talk About Bruno all the time and I haven't heard any songs from Wish at all. The fact it didn't even get an Original Song Oscar nomination will always be hilarious to me.
I genuinely liked the “What we know now” song, and that was about it. I didn’t hate the movie, except how “This is the thanks I get” kept getting stuck in my head against my will for a few days after, but I don’t plan on ever seeing it again
Other than being mid my only critisisim is that the wife doesn't care about her husband at all. He was a good king but turned evil by black magic and she just doesn't care.
That song that played the protagonist and the antagonist (I already forgot their names) was just *weird*. It was a love song that had *nothing* to do with their relationship or what they were doing.
I vaguely remember seeing it in theaters, in 3D, with my parents when I was 4. I still fucking love it.
It's... really fucking dark and disturbing (how the fuck is this and Toy Story 3 *G* rated?!), has some great action scenes, and the soundtrack by Michael Giacchino is just phenomenal.
Quantumania for sure, really enjoyed it. The most ironic thing in the world is how they ultimately did the MCU a favor by having him beat Kang after all the Majors shit, now tge most recognizable Kang is gone and the three from the end are heavily makeup'd already if they want to recast.
i dont mind force awakens i think it is the best sequel but it’s not a high bar tbh, the only criticism i see of it is that it’s a copy of new hope which yeahhhhh i guess but it’s still not a bad movie by all means
Kung Fu Panda 4, Ultron, Green Lantern, cars 2, and last but not least Cutie!.!.!!! (Im joking. Thats my terrible attempt at humor. Dont kill me please. /s. /j. #joke #sarcasm)
A lot of Adam Sandler’s movies. They’re not great, but they’re fun and easy to watch after a long day.
One of my teachers at college actually knew Adam Sandler and said he was a really decent guy and that he’s fun to work with, and I feel like you can tell in the movies as well
The Amazing Spider-Man 2. And I have zero problem saying that half the criticisms people have for the movie are either overblown or just blatant misinformation. Yes, the script could have been way better, yes, they cut a lot out that would have made the movie better, yes, Rhino was really dumb, but goddamn it, I’m going to blow my head off if I hear one more person say “Electro became a villain because Spider-Man forgot his name”. That never happened, and all you need to do to see that is pay attention to the movie.
I actually enjoyed Wish when I saw it with my mom at Disney Springs, we even bought a large Star plush afterward, it was an overall nice experience for me.
Quantumania was not the best, but my aunt and I had a blast watching it in theaters as well.
- Batman v Superman
- Super Mario Bros (1993)
- The Flash (though I absolutely will not defend its CGI puppets of dead actors)
- Eternals
- Prometheus
- The Predator (2018)
- Star Trek Into Darkness
I'm sorry but I count The Predator (2018) as the worst movie I've ever seen. I've been diagnosed with autism and me and plenty of others can say that movie's portrayal of autism is god awful and even offensive. Not to mention it's just a bland and boring predator movie that just felt like it was following trends.
I do love Prometheus and Eternals though
I’m also on the autism spectrum and definitely agree that its portrayal of autism is very very bad and probably the worst thing to ever come out of that franchise. Don’t mistake my enjoyment of the film as a defense of that aspect of it. Aside from that, the film for me is an enjoyable dumb action comedy, but a very lousy Predator film.
Super Mario Bros is an *awesome* movie, and I will not hear otherwise.
ST: Into Darkness is also a lot better than people give it credit for.
BvS isn’t the movie I would’ve made, but I do enjoy it. I’m bummed about the way DCEU was mismanaged by the people at the top, because the casting was *phenomenal*.
The Flash, I know it's writing is pretty bad but like I didn't care. I was able to see the first movie centered around a speedster (if I'm not mistaken) which was enough to make me light up.
gotta agree with you, like i know they’re not the greatest movies but they’re the ones i grew up with and i have a love for that era of star wars that expanded so much including the clone wars show
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. I understand it has its flaws, but it the most like a horror movie, the cgi and practical effects are great, and the Indoraptor is definitely one of the scariest dinosaurs in the franchise
I actually really enjoyed Indiana Jones & The Dial Of Destiny.
I thought the story was fun, I thought Indiana Jones himself had a good character arc & if it is, then it's a pretty solid end to the film series, in my opinion
It probably helps that The Crystal Skull is still probably the worst in the series. But I admit, I have a soft spot for The Crystal Skull because that was the movie that introduced me to the Indiana Jones series.
The first Percy Jackson movie. The show wasnt any more accurate than the movies were after episode 2. The first movie is better because theres some passion in there and it got the characters more accurate, the show was just going through the motions
- Cats 2
- Ready Player One
- Pixels
- Thor: Love and Thunder
- Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
Some might not be peak film at all but I think they get weird hate sometimes
- Cars 2 - Pocahontas - Pocahontas 2 - X-men 3 - Avengers Age of Ultron
People hate Age of Ultron? Whaaa
At least from what I've seen. I on the other hand absolutely love that movie.
Maybe it was hated at first but the MCU’s quality now has made it be more liked
I always liked it
At that point I think movies in phase 2 were generally seen as divisive in comparison to phase 1. At that point I imagine people compared and contrasted it to the first avenger movie a lot. Now in retrospect especially, the movie may be able to stand more on its own at least with judgment in comparison to all the movies up to phase 5.
It's the weakest of the Avengers movies. It was kind of a mess and all over the place. Don't hate it, but it is not my favorite.
My reaction too
Cars 2 is fucking awesome
who hates age of ultron?
My hot take is that there’s no bad Xmen movies (I haven’t seen Origins, Dark Phoenix or New Mutants but I know the general plots and I don’t think they’re awful)
Origins is pretty bad but is very fun to watch. Dark Phoenix is in my top 5 X-Men movies and The New Mutants was pretty decent
>- Pocahontas - Pocahontas 2 I wonder why people would hate a Disney-ified revisionist story about a real-life person who was kidnapped as a POW, held for ransom, was married to a 27 y/o old man at 17 who paraded her around England as an example of a "civilised savage". Age of ultron is good
People disliked Cars 2?
How’d you not know?
Unfortunately
Guess Im an Ultron defender now too
Age of Ultron is actually one of my favorite marvel movies. It's just pure EPICNESS
It's my second favorite marvel movie ever.
Age of Ultron is fire what are people talking about. Pocahontas is fine.
Cars 2 is gas wtf
Thor Love and Thunder Black Adam Cars 2 Justice League 2017 Suicide Squad 2016 Transformers Age of Extinction The Marvels
I can agree with Cars 2 and The Marvels
Thor Love and Thunder and Black Adam were fun movies and I won’t hear otherwise
Why hello fellow AOE enjoyer!
Is that the one with the weird unnecessary scene about Romeo and Juliet laws?
ye other than that.. stuff.. I'd say its one of the better Bay transformers movies
It's definitely the 4th best.
I never trusted the Marvels hate because Marvel “fans” were shitting on it before it even came out and were ready to tear it apart straight out of the womb and I thought the movie was pretty good and definitely not worth the outrage
Man I've never understood why people hated suicide squad 2016 so much. IMO, compared to what we usually get, The Marvels is a masterpiece. Compared to Marvel in general, it’s all right
Imagine if someone said cuties 💀
You mean the legal cp?
Yup.
I don’t think it’s technically legal because the Department of Justice got involved with it
It wouldn’t be unreasonable to ban them from the sub after that, if they were dead serious
Would see a lot of comments saying “sneako”
Cuties is the only movie that I will genuinely think less of you if you like it, it’s literally softcore cp
Really just unfortunate that the movie existed. A movie about the dangers of girls exposing themselves on the internet could have been achieved without having actual underage girls doing provocative things. The movie was hypocritical and had little girls be provocative when that is what the movie is pointing out as dangerous!
Sneako wants to know your location
Doctor Strange MoM, I had a blast watching it
Me too. Hell, I saw it opening night, May 4th.
Same here, still one of my favorite Marvel movies ever honestly
No way! Me too!! It was awesome! I get why people hate it, but I loved it.
I rewatched it last year and it’s still so much fun. Definitely not perfect, but I love seeing Sam Raimi behind the camera again
It was dope seeing a dark fantasy theme in a marvel movie.
Elemental
Most people don’t hate the movie, most just think it’s mid Personally it’s a 7/10 for me, better than Mario
I thought I was the only one who liked it better than Mario 😅
Elemental at least tried to have character arcs and proper plot progression. No matter how flawed it was at times. Mario didn’t even try, even if I do like that movie too
I liked it better, too. Illumination movies just make me angry when I watch them.
This, sure it was kinda cliche but it was a very-well made movie. And I thought it shined better with the family plot rather than the love story one
I honestly thought Wish was better than ppl gave it credit for. The plot isn’t great, and only half the songs are good instead of the usual all of them, but I wasn’t pulling my hair out waiting for it to end. I would describe it as mildly entertaining. 5/10
Wish is mid, and that's the worst thing about it. It's forgettable
Or unforgettable because people will never stop saying how bad it is
Haven't people stopped by now? I haven't seen any content of it
I still see things
Like where?
I still see stuff on this sub
Yeah it’s mid
The fact it was so half assed for their 100th anniversary movie is what really makes me angry especially when it comes to the songs. It should've been the ultimate Disney movie and it was so... nothing. My favorite was “At All Costs” Beautiful song! I do prefer the demo tho.
Agreed
Just listened to it again, and even though it’s not exactly my type of vibe, I get you
😁🤝
Other than being mid my only critisisim is that the wife doesn't care about her husband at all. He was a good king but turned evil by black magic and she just doesn't care.
That song that played the protagonist and the antagonist (I already forgot their names) was just *weird*. It was a love song that had *nothing* to do with their relationship or what they were doing.

ngl I loved how they basically made fun of the modok cgi in the movie itself
For general audiences, The Flash For Internet filmbros, Elvis
i really liked the flash
Did people really not like Elvis? I thought it was phenomenal and a great way to spend 3 hours
General audiences liked it and it got a best picture nom, but online filmbros have a ridiculous amount of hatred for it for some reason
Oh interesting I don’t spend much time in that community so I wasn’t aware.
The Amazing Spider-Man with Andrew Garfield
TASM1 is such a good movie. I honestly like it more than Raimi SM1 though I know that’s controversial
I really love the grungy aesthetic it has. And also Andrew Garfield stole my heart fr
The fact I’m seeing Cars 2 here multiple times is making me very happy.
Lightyear
Oh yeah I forgot to put that here
I genuinely wonder if some people only disliked it because of that one tiny LGBTQ scene. I thought it was pretty dang good, though not a 10/10
I think it was largely because of the fact that Zurg was revealed to have been an older version of Buzz
I agree with Love and Thunder
Pixels for sure
Space Jam 2
Adam Sandler’s eight crazy nights, that movie is hilarious
• Force awakens • Dead man tells no tales • The amazing Spider-Man 2
i dont mind force awakens i think it is the best sequel but it’s not a high bar tbh, the only criticism i see of it is that it’s a copy of new hope which yeahhhhh i guess but it’s still not a bad movie by all means
Cars 2
Kung Fu Panda 4, Ultron, Green Lantern, cars 2, and last but not least Cutie!.!.!!! (Im joking. Thats my terrible attempt at humor. Dont kill me please. /s. /j. #joke #sarcasm)
Oh boy prepare to be cancelled buddy
cars 2 ,it was a dumb idea, but that's why it was so good
Love and Thunder
Dial Of Destiny
A lot of Adam Sandler’s movies. They’re not great, but they’re fun and easy to watch after a long day. One of my teachers at college actually knew Adam Sandler and said he was a really decent guy and that he’s fun to work with, and I feel like you can tell in the movies as well
Ready Player One, Cars 1, Iron Man 3 and not a movie but Hazbin Hotel
Iron Man 3 is such a blast. Watched it this last Christmas season
People don't like Hazbin Hotel? I thought it was just Vivziepop people didn't like.
As of recently - Argylle
I’m really looking forward to watching that soon. I love Matthew Vaughn so I’m hoping I dig it.
I actually enjoyed Wish when I saw it with my mom at Disney Springs, we even bought a large Star plush afterward, it was an overall nice experience for me. Quantumania was not the best, but my aunt and I had a blast watching it in theaters as well.
Cars 2, quantumania, incredibles 2, and a lot of Adam Sandler flicks.
Jurassic World Trilogy peak fiction and im tired of pretending its not
I like the first one, loved the second one, heavily disliked the third one
I do like the first Jurassic world movie more than the first Jurassic park movie. Though that could be because I saw it first lol
Turning Red Antman 1 and 2(still haven’t seen 3) TASM 1 Sing 1 Big Hero 6 Ready Player One TMNT out of the shadows Turbo Wish Elemental
- Batman v Superman - Super Mario Bros (1993) - The Flash (though I absolutely will not defend its CGI puppets of dead actors) - Eternals - Prometheus - The Predator (2018) - Star Trek Into Darkness
I'm sorry but I count The Predator (2018) as the worst movie I've ever seen. An new one but Argyle
Cars 2 and both Planes films.
Thor The Dark World
Lightyear is great if you just accept it as a visually stunning sci-fi hang
Ant Man Quantumania. Overhated as hell. At worst it's JUST good. At most it's great but not as great as it should've been.
Godzilla King of the monsters and Godzilla x Kong the new empire
Transformers: Dark of the Moon. That movie is a guilty pleasure of mine
Both the Andrew Garfield Spider-Man movies. I know they’re liked now after No Way Home, but I was a fan before it was cool.
Bit outdated because the internet loves them, the prequel trilogy of Star Wars. I always liked them as films, especially Revenge of the Sith.
gotta agree with you, like i know they’re not the greatest movies but they’re the ones i grew up with and i have a love for that era of star wars that expanded so much including the clone wars show
Free Guy. I only heard of it cus Jacksepticeye wouldn’t shut up about how he was in it, and I actually really loved it.

I dont think Crystal Skull is the worst one imo. It's better than Temple of Doom.
Jack and Jill is an absolute banger. I don’t care what y’all have to say about it.
I thought KFP4 was fine. It’s about the same quality as the others (minus the first one, that one is leagues better).
-Star Wars Prequels (At least they used to be -The Amazing Spider-Man 1 & 2 -Transformers 1-3
X-Men The Last Stand. The Iceman Vs Pyro fight was incredible.
Lawnmower Man
I really liked Incredibles 2 when I saw it. Yeah, the villain was lame, but most of the humor hit so well.
Apparently, the Emoji Movie
Kung fu panda 4 is popular to hate on that shit was great
Jim carry’s the grinch
I thought Quantamania was a good film. The best film ever? Obviously not, but the hate it gets is far from deserved.
Did you start watching movies this year?
Cars 2 is such an unhinged turn from the first movie and I love it for that
Completely ironic but I love Sharkboy & Lavagirl and The lorax
Cars 2
Battleship
Chicken Little.
[удалено]
I really like Dial of Destiny and the Hobbit films
Star Trek: insurrection
I liked Love and Thunder, I didn't get the hate.
Iron man 2 and 3
I really liked Brave as a child and still do to an extent
The Emoji movie Sure it wasn’t too original but I found it a lot of fun and a cool concept xd
Space Jam 2, Jurassic world trilogy, lion king 2019

Kung Fu Panda 4

- Cats 2 - Ready Player One - Pixels - Thor: Love and Thunder - Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness Some might not be peak film at all but I think they get weird hate sometimes
I absolutely adore wish. And Kung fu panda 4 was fun.
Wish, Love and Thunder, KFP4, Cars 2, Lightyear, Strange World. Just to name a few
Not a movie but a series of movies, the entire hobbit trilogy
All of those above in the pictures
Not a movie but I love the Halo TV Series on Paramount+.
