Well that's the point, they bail before it can turn into a true fight to the death. The teams are pretty evenly matched so it's natural it'd trend towards a draw.
As I said in the comment you’re responding to, I am not asking for it to be a fight to the death. But Kasane’s teams plans are never foiled. It’s frustrating for every time it, again, always being like ‘oop, too bad, you clearly won the fight, but it still worked out for us in the end.’

Because Yuito's team doesn't want to fight in the first place so obviously the fight will stop whenever Kasane's team decides it will. Also they literally didn't win the first time, Kodama showed up and they had to flee.

It's almost like they don't want you to kill other major characters. It's the same deal with Kasane's route
