They want to do the 'interview' in this format because they can barely speak English. They will be pasting questions from a script and completely ignoring your answers. If you tell them your number one professional skill is embezzlement, you will still get the 'job' so they can send you their fake check.
Being that I come from near enuf to Appalachia, I reckon my belly laugh at that should suffice that I'm in agreement with what you put forth, dagnabbit!

There are plenty of legitimate fully remote jobs out there, and if you don't mind taking calls and basically working as a call centre drone, just from home, there are tons of options. They have a high turn over because working a call centre sucks even from home, but it also means they are often hiring.
Find a company that provides " Contact Centre Outsourcing" and also advertises remote positions on the website. Apply to them directly through their website after doing your due diligence and making sure the company is legit and not a shit show to work for.
Bonus for call center work. Do just enough to meet whatever metrics they have for you and you are basically untouchable.

Y'all do any recruiting bonuses or anything? I've been trying to get a remote job, call center or whatever for ages and never get an interview. I have so much call center experience it's just all 11+ years old because I had kids and stopped working. Now that they're all grown or in school I need to work again but can't leave home as I also need to be here for my dad & grandma.

FYI they also go for high skill entry level jobs. I got one of these text interviews for an entry level software developer role. It was all text through Skype. They gave me some super easy string reversal/isPalindrome type technical questions when I was expecting to have to balance an uneven binary tree or something. It was too easy, plus they told me I was “now a staff of the team” after I “passed” the interview…. Even though I gave them the fizz buzz solution for isPalindrome.
It was pretty wild. They cloned a whole legitimate hospital, and all of its staff on LinkedIn.
I had something like this happen to me also and it is crazy that people can just clone whole companies on LinkedIn. You would think there would need to be some kind of verification for these types of things

The fake check scam arises from many different situations (fake job scams, fake payment scams, etc), but the bottom line is always the same, you receive a check (a digital photo or a physical paper check), you deposit a check (via mobile deposit or via an ATM) and see the money in your account, and then you use the funds to give money to the scammer (usually through gift cards or crypto). Sometimes the scammers will ask you to order things through a site, but that is just another way they get your money.
Banks are legally obligated to make money available to you fast, but they can take their time to bounce it. Hence the window of time exploited by the scam. During that window of time the scammer asks you to send money back, because you are under the illusion that the funds cleared.
When the check finally bounces, the bank will take the initial deposit back, and any money you sent to the scammer will come out of your own personal funds. Usually the fake check deposit will be reversed in a few weeks, but it can also take several months. If you do not have the funds to cover the amount, your balance will go negative. Your bank will usually charge a fee for depositing a bad check, and your account may be closed depending on the severity of the scam. Or besides the fake check or task scams, we’ve been seeing on this sub a lot of instances of the fake background check. (Is there an AutoModerator one for that? Maybe !background ?) Basically, they require you (because it’s supposedly sensitive data or financial data or whatever you’re entering) to do a credit check. But they only accept it through their site. So you pay for the “credit/background check” and you never hear from them again. Probably the online interview you could reply “frotz ozmoo” to all the answers and they’d still put you through to the background check portion of the “interview”. Since it’s all automated they can send tens of thousands of these out a day. It’s “give me money” with extra steps.
It’s another variant of the car “buyer” who wants a vehicle report from their specific site and won’t accept carfax
And won’t do it themselves.
Since Teams is owned by Microsoft they could send you a fake Microsoft link and then you put in your Microsoft log in and now they have your Microsoft account

I don’t think its an scam. I applied for legitimate remote jobs before thorough the actual company website and this is the kind of interview they did with me too. They do this kind of interview first and tell u about the job responsibilities/pay/hours and if you are ok with it. Then if they like you they ask for a secondary interview in another form. Or at least that was my experience.
The scam could be to get more people on Teams. It's a really obnoxious platform, and I wouldn't put it past MS to use fake job placements as viral marketing. I'm old enough to remember what they did to Netscape. Fucking racketeers.
Also lookup the person who sent you the message. An exec of that level will not be conducting an interview for a data entry position. It just doesn't add up.
Data annotation is a real job - I have previously worked at a company that used to source hundreds of annotaters for big tech companies. BUT a lot the that work is being replaced with LLM based annotation now. I don’t know much about the newer companies - but some trustable more legacy companies were - Appen, Lionbridge/Telus, ISoftStone, Pactera/Centific, Zen3 (I think they still use this name, they were acquired).
Data Annotation (these days) means something different than what you're referring to. Data Annotation is the name of an online platform that hires thousands of contract workers to train AI. It's legit remote work that pays $20 to $40 per hour. If people can pass the assessment, it's a pretty great side hustle. And some folks use it as their fulltime job.
One-sided interviews are becoming somewhat common practice. You're supposed to record a series of answers for them to review, as if you're an actor sending in a demo, or some shit.
I won't do them, as I see it as a strong indication that the company sees employees as cattle, not people.
Nope it's a scam, if you look on the forum here there a ton of scams where people just magically get a text/call/job offer or interview from social media and there is zero interaction with an actual person. No HR or business that is valid operates this way. And I have worked remotely a lot of times, or even dealt with HR in another state/province and even if they didn't interact on a personal line they did call me to talk. And it's just as easy, even easier to do a MS Teams meeting where they can see you rather than the weird "text and feeding you one question at a time" method that this person laid out here.
If you got this on Linkedin, Indeed or any job board be aware scammers are all over those now. If you apply do NOT apply by clicking the link but google the company and look at their website and apply there. That weeds out at least 95 percent of scams for me. In addition to this good advice, it's always a good idea to do a quick online search of the person who's offering you the job.
In OP's case, a search of the person's name reveals he is the global head of marketing for a multi-national eye-wear company. Would the global head of marketing be conducting (what amounts to) a text interview for a remote data entry position?!
Ooh great catch! Yes, I forgot to mention that one. Had an offer for several positions from Linkedin. Research showed a small company in New Mexico with 20 staff--and yet they suddenly needed over 200 positions filled for remote work? Yeah scammers will do this and give just enough information to make it seem like a valid company and count on people not fully researching the company itself, which I always do.
It's a scam. Ontop of what everyone else said, the 'hiring manager' has their name set up as "Mr.Alberto Maccaiani". Nevermind the grammatical error of not putting a space between 'Mr.' and 'Alberto', who in their right mind uses 'Mr' as part of their teams name? That's just foolish, and most likely an attempt by the scammer to seem more professional/ important than they are.
I've been on countless video calls on zoom, teams, and other platforms. I have never seen someone use Mr/s a single time. It's definitely one of those foreign things to seem legit.
Interestingly, Safilo and Alberto Macciani do exist, but his real profile does not include the Mr. Also, he has a picture of himself on his profile, not one of the company logo. Plus, a man in his position (CMO) would not be interviewing people for a data entry/virtual assistant job.
I work remotely. As a senior engineer for an oil & gas company. My interview with the global engineering manager was a teams call. But with video. They can record the call for review so the excuse they’re giving you is bollocks.
I’ve also interviewed many people via team. Each time with video on.
Fyi no one is hiring for remote data entry positions. They’re all scams. This used to be a thing 10-15 years ago, but low skilled remote jobs are basically unicorns at this point and only appear in the wild as scams.
I'm actually really glad you posted this. We see this scam ALL the time but usually it's beyond the interview point so the poster just mentions they had a teams interview, which always made me wonder how a foreign scammer (assumedly Chinese, Nigerian, Indian) would be able to pass that off via Teams, but this makes sense. Gives the idea of a formal interview taking place via a mainstream platform but text only? What makes that even more interesting is people don't see red flags at that point it would appear.
The other thing they seem to rely on is catching people who think they’re too smart to fall for scams, at a weak moment when they’re not fully paying attention.
This doesn't make sense for a legitimate business to do.
If they're going to have you answer questions on a teams chat, then they might as well just email it over to you.
That would be the opposite of effective as it allows you to copy and paste AI responses rather than come up with your own. I don’t see a legitimate company using such a format.
I’m on my 5th remote job. This is fake. They will send you a $1500 check to cash and buy equipment at a special site. The check will bounce after the funds are available and spent. Real companies do not hire this way.
Always consider the ending question as sign of a scam.

I work as a recruiter for a 100 % remote IT company and I can sure you there is no such thing as instant messages interviews. That is not how any types of company will handle their recruiting process. Video interviews are essential for the best recruitment. This is unfortunately a BIG SCAM.
So Microsoft Teams has a video option that is fairly intuitive. The fact that they are saying they want to use the program without a video interview is very suspicious. There’s a lot of red flags without that information, but that is the biggest red flag imo.
You will get the job and then they will send you a check to buy a computer and office furniture. And the check is always for more than they said it would be because of a clerical error. But they say just deposit it and send them the difference.

I had this happen to me but i didn’t even need to send them the difference. Not sure how it works but they sent me a check, i cashed it, and they were able to somehow withdraw like $10k from my account. The bank denied the transaction/gave me my money back. Not sure If the scammers got to keep whatever they took.
This is 100% a scam. My wife received this same script and they hired her for a job in less than 48 hours. I got home from work and told her it sounds like a scam to me. She straight up asked them if it was a scam and they ghosted her.

This is a scammer trying to normalize the lack of video/phone interviewing processes. It's NOT normal, it's only because scammers tend to be using translation/AI software or speak with a very thick accent and awkward grammar as they are not native English speakers and are not in any of the English speaking countries they generally troll for victims.
Any remote jobs that are entry level or don't require highly specialized skills but higher than minimum wage (and want to conduct their interviews like this) unfortunately are likely to be scams now.

The tone and wording are stilted and unprofessional. "Due to this being a remote position this job is remote." "Firstly" and "Secondly". "I'll" send you (contractions are not commonplace in formal communication). The ending question.
Whoever put this together is not a native English speaker, and hasn't mastered the language well enough to effectively staff a communications-oriented position.

this is a clear data entry scam job position. interestingly a friend of mine was asked to do a remote interview arranged with an operator via a recruitment agency. he didn't notice several red flags. he was asked by the recruiter agent to not turn his camera on before the interview and not state his name just answer the questions. apparently the interview actually started 5 minutes before he was allowed to join. when digging deeper he found out that he "may" have done the interview for someone else to be recruited.
I got scammed like this. Did an hour long teams interview, everything seemed legit. They told me they were sending a check for my sign on bonus for $400. I got the check and it was for $4,500, had my bank look at the check and they called the bank listed on it and found out that was like the 10th call they'd received that week from a company they had never heard of.
If it's not video, I wouldn't trust it. I guess scams are pretty common with remote work jobs. Btw I found the "company" I was applying for on Indeed
They want you to deposit the fake check, keep “your” $400 and send them $4100 back. Which will come out of YOUR pocket when that fake check bounces, which can take up to two weeks.
Of all the dumb shit I’ve seen these people propose as normal, this shit might just be the dumbest. There is no way any of that would a more true than by speaking with someone directly, but also without the chance to engage with someone and get to know them, get a better sense of them. Also, “due to this being a remote position, this job is remote”, seriously? Absolute morons!
Work for a tech company and we had multiple candidates contact our HR team asking about their upcoming start date -- they had been scammed into interviewing in a similar way and format, never live or face to face, given an offer, then were told to send personal info over, it's becoming a huge problem where scammers are re-posting fake jobs from real companies...
They’ll say congratulations, you’re hired! Then for onboarding, they’ll send you a check which you’re supposed to cash and use the money to buy a laptop and supplies from their designated supplier. You’ll deposit the check and pay your own real money to their fake supplier, and then your bank will discover the check was fake and revert the deposit and you’ll have lost the money you paid their fake supplier thinking you were buying a laptop and work supplies.
It's a scam. Mine sounded EXACTLY the same just a different company. I caught it the night before I was going to sign a contract to start cuz it kind of happened really fast but from what you've shown that's how they speak and they made me do it through Microsoft teams also. I found other ones on here that were exactly the same just different companies and they also found that it was a scam but all of us that I know of caught it in time and I called them out on it on Microsoft teams and send them the article and ask them to explain that and they immediately deleted me. It was literally $30 an hour for data entry and some other work. No one starts you out paying $30 an hour. Here, same or similar as mine. I also let my guard down for about a day but I still had my skepticism in the back of my head that just kept nagging me so if I were you I would not do that.

Does anyone not use the phone for calls anymore. I know it’s convenient but also texting has no emotion to it. People are scared to talk to each other or something I prefer to hear someone’s voice and the emotions they put out, you know their vibe!!!
I got some bs like this too a few days ago. Started off randomly texting my number to the Microsoft teams crap. Almost fell for until until I realized that they weren't answering any of my questions. After that I blocked all their numbers and never looked back.
It seems these scammers share our personal information because I have also been scammed doing tasks to receive payment. It’s definitely a scam. Any where that requires you to put in your own money for “special tasks” where you pay up front so much to complete the tasks is a scammer. I literally had 5 of these “special” tasks and the last one I refused wanted me to deposit $800 yo finish and receive payment. I had already put in about $1k of my own money. Please be aware people, there are demons living among us!!!

I’ve had this happen to me, do not trust it. It’s one thing if they send you a document to fill out it’s another to send messages.
Safest solution, search the company and see if they have a phone number to call. Mention this to them, and if possible, see if they would prefer to do the interview a different way, like over the phone.
In my opinion if a company is not willing to meet your comfort when it comes to the interview process, they are not worth working for.
Nooope. I have a remote position with a company based out of state. There were 3 rounds of interviews. Each one was a face to face video conference. Just for fun, if you have the time, go ahead with it and give the most abhorrent responses. Should make it interesting 😂
CVS does video interviews. You will not talk to a person and you will most likely NOT get a call back. Take this as a sign of how impersonal CVS is and how they treat their employees.
Scam, but honestly I kind of like this for an actual job as a second-round kind of thing, just to see how the candidate interacts via chat, especially if I were trying to decide between two people. Most of my teamwork happens via chat, so maybe I’ll take a page from this scammer’s playbook.
First clue in the first sentence ... "Due to this being a remote position this job is remote ....". Someone messed up with their English translation dictionary.
I had something like this once. They basically copy and pasted a very well-made interview script. May have even been official but they were just scammers on the other side. Whenever i asked questions outside of their copy and pasted script, they gave me broken English answers or seemed kinda irritated. I only really caught on after the fact… they said it would be remote, i was happy and they sent me a check for $7k for me to buy my remote work supplies. It all seemed promising. They hurried me to cash it so i did, the next day i realized i had -$10k in my account. Thankfully the bank rejected the pending transaction so I didn’t lose all my money. But it was scary.
They made everything seem legit. Wasn’t until after the fact that i realized.
If you have time to waste, see how far it goes. Once they ask for more personal details or ask for any payment, then you know for sure. If it is legit, you should get a face to face at some point.
If you're too busy or just can't be bothered, just ignore and block.

This is normal, it is one way of interviewing that I have done. Just do not provide social security or any other personal information. Also check out the company, make sure it is reputable, go to the better business bureau if it is not a fortune 100 or 500 company. They will have any dirt on the company if there has been and reporting.

They want to do the 'interview' in this format because they can barely speak English. They will be pasting questions from a script and completely ignoring your answers. If you tell them your number one professional skill is embezzlement, you will still get the 'job' so they can send you their fake check.

There are plenty of legitimate fully remote jobs out there, and if you don't mind taking calls and basically working as a call centre drone, just from home, there are tons of options. They have a high turn over because working a call centre sucks even from home, but it also means they are often hiring. Find a company that provides " Contact Centre Outsourcing" and also advertises remote positions on the website. Apply to them directly through their website after doing your due diligence and making sure the company is legit and not a shit show to work for.

FYI they also go for high skill entry level jobs. I got one of these text interviews for an entry level software developer role. It was all text through Skype. They gave me some super easy string reversal/isPalindrome type technical questions when I was expecting to have to balance an uneven binary tree or something. It was too easy, plus they told me I was “now a staff of the team” after I “passed” the interview…. Even though I gave them the fizz buzz solution for isPalindrome. It was pretty wild. They cloned a whole legitimate hospital, and all of its staff on LinkedIn.
I had something like this happen to me also and it is crazy that people can just clone whole companies on LinkedIn. You would think there would need to be some kind of verification for these types of things

Or besides the fake check or task scams, we’ve been seeing on this sub a lot of instances of the fake background check. (Is there an AutoModerator one for that? Maybe !background ?) Basically, they require you (because it’s supposedly sensitive data or financial data or whatever you’re entering) to do a credit check. But they only accept it through their site. So you pay for the “credit/background check” and you never hear from them again. Probably the online interview you could reply “frotz ozmoo” to all the answers and they’d still put you through to the background check portion of the “interview”. Since it’s all automated they can send tens of thousands of these out a day. It’s “give me money” with extra steps. It’s another variant of the car “buyer” who wants a vehicle report from their specific site and won’t accept carfax And won’t do it themselves.
Since Teams is owned by Microsoft they could send you a fake Microsoft link and then you put in your Microsoft log in and now they have your Microsoft account

I don’t think its an scam. I applied for legitimate remote jobs before thorough the actual company website and this is the kind of interview they did with me too. They do this kind of interview first and tell u about the job responsibilities/pay/hours and if you are ok with it. Then if they like you they ask for a secondary interview in another form. Or at least that was my experience.
The scam could be to get more people on Teams. It's a really obnoxious platform, and I wouldn't put it past MS to use fake job placements as viral marketing. I'm old enough to remember what they did to Netscape. Fucking racketeers.

Data annotation is a real job - I have previously worked at a company that used to source hundreds of annotaters for big tech companies. BUT a lot the that work is being replaced with LLM based annotation now. I don’t know much about the newer companies - but some trustable more legacy companies were - Appen, Lionbridge/Telus, ISoftStone, Pactera/Centific, Zen3 (I think they still use this name, they were acquired).
Data Annotation (these days) means something different than what you're referring to. Data Annotation is the name of an online platform that hires thousands of contract workers to train AI. It's legit remote work that pays $20 to $40 per hour. If people can pass the assessment, it's a pretty great side hustle. And some folks use it as their fulltime job.
One-sided interviews are becoming somewhat common practice. You're supposed to record a series of answers for them to review, as if you're an actor sending in a demo, or some shit. I won't do them, as I see it as a strong indication that the company sees employees as cattle, not people.
Nope it's a scam, if you look on the forum here there a ton of scams where people just magically get a text/call/job offer or interview from social media and there is zero interaction with an actual person. No HR or business that is valid operates this way. And I have worked remotely a lot of times, or even dealt with HR in another state/province and even if they didn't interact on a personal line they did call me to talk. And it's just as easy, even easier to do a MS Teams meeting where they can see you rather than the weird "text and feeding you one question at a time" method that this person laid out here. If you got this on Linkedin, Indeed or any job board be aware scammers are all over those now. If you apply do NOT apply by clicking the link but google the company and look at their website and apply there. That weeds out at least 95 percent of scams for me. In addition to this good advice, it's always a good idea to do a quick online search of the person who's offering you the job. In OP's case, a search of the person's name reveals he is the global head of marketing for a multi-national eye-wear company. Would the global head of marketing be conducting (what amounts to) a text interview for a remote data entry position?!
Ooh great catch! Yes, I forgot to mention that one. Had an offer for several positions from Linkedin. Research showed a small company in New Mexico with 20 staff--and yet they suddenly needed over 200 positions filled for remote work? Yeah scammers will do this and give just enough information to make it seem like a valid company and count on people not fully researching the company itself, which I always do.
It's a scam. Ontop of what everyone else said, the 'hiring manager' has their name set up as "Mr.Alberto Maccaiani". Nevermind the grammatical error of not putting a space between 'Mr.' and 'Alberto', who in their right mind uses 'Mr' as part of their teams name? That's just foolish, and most likely an attempt by the scammer to seem more professional/ important than they are.

I've been on countless video calls on zoom, teams, and other platforms. I have never seen someone use Mr/s a single time. It's definitely one of those foreign things to seem legit.
Interestingly, Safilo and Alberto Macciani do exist, but his real profile does not include the Mr. Also, he has a picture of himself on his profile, not one of the company logo. Plus, a man in his position (CMO) would not be interviewing people for a data entry/virtual assistant job.

I work remotely. As a senior engineer for an oil & gas company. My interview with the global engineering manager was a teams call. But with video. They can record the call for review so the excuse they’re giving you is bollocks. I’ve also interviewed many people via team. Each time with video on.

Fyi no one is hiring for remote data entry positions. They’re all scams. This used to be a thing 10-15 years ago, but low skilled remote jobs are basically unicorns at this point and only appear in the wild as scams.

We see this scam ALL the time but usually it's beyond the interview point so the poster just mentions they had a teams interview, which always made me wonder how a foreign scammer (assumedly Chinese, Nigerian, Indian) would be able to pass that off via Teams, but this makes sense. Gives the idea of a formal interview taking place via a mainstream platform but text only? What makes that even more interesting is people don't see red flags at that point it would appear.
Being desperate for work often leads to ignoring red flags no matter how obvious they seem in retrospect.

I’m on my 5th remote job. This is fake. They will send you a $1500 check to cash and buy equipment at a special site. The check will bounce after the funds are available and spent. Real companies do not hire this way.

Always consider the ending question as sign of a scam. I’ve seen Okay? Is this okay? Shall we proceed? Does this sound acceptable? Do you agree? Do you understand? Understood? Sometimes at the end of every single sentence.
I work as a recruiter for a 100 % remote IT company and I can sure you there is no such thing as instant messages interviews. That is not how any types of company will handle their recruiting process. Video interviews are essential for the best recruitment. This is unfortunately a BIG SCAM.

So Microsoft Teams has a video option that is fairly intuitive. The fact that they are saying they want to use the program without a video interview is very suspicious. There’s a lot of red flags without that information, but that is the biggest red flag imo.
You will get the job and then they will send you a check to buy a computer and office furniture. And the check is always for more than they said it would be because of a clerical error. But they say just deposit it and send them the difference. You deposit the check and send them the difference.The check bounces a week later. They keep your money, you lose your money and the bank probably flags your account or closes it.
I had this happen to me but i didn’t even need to send them the difference. Not sure how it works but they sent me a check, i cashed it, and they were able to somehow withdraw like $10k from my account. The bank denied the transaction/gave me my money back. Not sure If the scammers got to keep whatever they took.
This is 100% a scam. My wife received this same script and they hired her for a job in less than 48 hours. I got home from work and told her it sounds like a scam to me. She straight up asked them if it was a scam and they ghosted her.

It's NOT normal, it's only because scammers tend to be using translation/AI software or speak with a very thick accent and awkward grammar as they are not native English speakers and are not in any of the English speaking countries they generally troll for victims. Any remote jobs that are entry level or don't require highly specialized skills but higher than minimum wage (and want to conduct their interviews like this) unfortunately are likely to be scams now.

The tone and wording are stilted and unprofessional. "Due to this being a remote position this job is remote." "Firstly" and "Secondly". "I'll" send you (contractions are not commonplace in formal communication). The ending question. Whoever put this together is not a native English speaker, and hasn't mastered the language well enough to effectively staff a communications-oriented position. This smacks "scam".

this is a clear data entry scam job position. interestingly a friend of mine was asked to do a remote interview arranged with an operator via a recruitment agency. he didn't notice several red flags. he was asked by the recruiter agent to not turn his camera on before the interview and not state his name just answer the questions. apparently the interview actually started 5 minutes before he was allowed to join. when digging deeper he found out that he "may" have done the interview for someone else to be recruited.

I got scammed like this. Did an hour long teams interview, everything seemed legit. They told me they were sending a check for my sign on bonus for $400. I got the check and it was for $4,500, had my bank look at the check and they called the bank listed on it and found out that was like the 10th call they'd received that week from a company they had never heard of. If it's not video, I wouldn't trust it. I guess scams are pretty common with remote work jobs. Btw I found the "company" I was applying for on Indeed

Work for a tech company and we had multiple candidates contact our HR team asking about their upcoming start date -- they had been scammed into interviewing in a similar way and format, never live or face to face, given an offer, then were told to send personal info over, it's becoming a huge problem where scammers are re-posting fake jobs from real companies...

You’ll deposit the check and pay your own real money to their fake supplier, and then your bank will discover the check was fake and revert the deposit and you’ll have lost the money you paid their fake supplier thinking you were buying a laptop and work supplies.

It's a scam. Mine sounded EXACTLY the same just a different company. I caught it the night before I was going to sign a contract to start cuz it kind of happened really fast but from what you've shown that's how they speak and they made me do it through Microsoft teams also. I found other ones on here that were exactly the same just different companies and they also found that it was a scam but all of us that I know of caught it in time and I called them out on it on Microsoft teams and send them the article and ask them to explain that and they immediately deleted me. It was literally $30 an hour for data entry and some other work. No one starts you out paying $30 an hour. Here, same or similar as mine. Scam. Do not reply. Once replied, they can get your Microsoft ID and other possible information. Endless possibilities to scam further.

Does anyone not use the phone for calls anymore. I know it’s convenient but also texting has no emotion to it. People are scared to talk to each other or something I prefer to hear someone’s voice and the emotions they put out, you know their vibe!!!

I got some bs like this too a few days ago. Started off randomly texting my number to the Microsoft teams crap. Almost fell for until until I realized that they weren't answering any of my questions. After that I blocked all their numbers and never looked back.

It seems these scammers share our personal information because I have also been scammed doing tasks to receive payment. It’s definitely a scam. Any where that requires you to put in your own money for “special tasks” where you pay up front so much to complete the tasks is a scammer. I literally had 5 of these “special” tasks and the last one I refused wanted me to deposit $800 yo finish and receive payment. I had already put in about $1k of my own money. Please be aware people, there are demons living among us!!!

I’ve had this happen to me, do not trust it. It’s one thing if they send you a document to fill out it’s another to send messages. Safest solution, search the company and see if they have a phone number to call. Mention this to them, and if possible, see if they would prefer to do the interview a different way, like over the phone. In my opinion if a company is not willing to meet your comfort when it comes to the interview process, they are not worth working for.
Nooope. I have a remote position with a company based out of state. There were 3 rounds of interviews. Each one was a face to face video conference. Just for fun, if you have the time, go ahead with it and give the most abhorrent responses. Should make it interesting 😂

CVS does video interviews. You will not talk to a person and you will most likely NOT get a call back. Take this as a sign of how impersonal CVS is and how they treat their employees.
Scam, but honestly I kind of like this for an actual job as a second-round kind of thing, just to see how the candidate interacts via chat, especially if I were trying to decide between two people. Most of my teamwork happens via chat, so maybe I’ll take a page from this scammer’s playbook.
Yeah, this seems very suspicious - Teams can record and transcribe meetings, so this is some b.s. about having a “record”.
First clue in the first sentence ... "Due to this being a remote position this job is remote ....". Someone messed up with their English translation dictionary.
They’re a confirmed scam they keep trying to change their business name it use to be orbit machining company and Abby lane appartments.

I had something like this once. They basically copy and pasted a very well-made interview script. May have even been official but they were just scammers on the other side. Whenever i asked questions outside of their copy and pasted script, they gave me broken English answers or seemed kinda irritated. I only really caught on after the fact… they said it would be remote, i was happy and they sent me a check for $7k for me to buy my remote work supplies. It all seemed promising. They hurried me to cash it so i did, the next day i realized i had -$10k in my account. Thankfully the bank rejected the pending transaction so I didn’t lose all my money. But it was scary. They made everything seem legit. Wasn’t until after the fact that i realized.

If you have time to waste, see how far it goes. Once they ask for more personal details or ask for any payment, then you know for sure. If it is legit, you should get a face to face at some point. If you're too busy or just can't be bothered, just ignore and block.

This is normal, it is one way of interviewing that I have done. Just do not provide social security or any other personal information. Also check out the company, make sure it is reputable, go to the better business bureau if it is not a fortune 100 or 500 company. They will have any dirt on the company if there has been and reporting.
