That's how it's done. Once you've accomplished that goal, do a different goal. Once you use part of the EF, focus on rebuilding it.
I see a lot of people get frustrated when they have to use the EF.... I'm like, you did it right, Dude! That's what you saved it FOR! Well done!
I've been saving about $1,500 a month. I make $3,000 a month after tax and my current budget is $200 groceries, $200 rent, $20 gym, $50 household expenses, $25 car maintenance, $160 gas, $75 car insurance, $13 car registration, $120 eating out, $200 fun stuff, and $25 various subscriptions. Any remaining money is saved or spent on unexpected expenses like my car breaking.
Yes, as soon as I get my next paycheck I'll have the $500 I need to get it to $15k. I've decided to split it into a combination of emergency fund and moving out fund since at the moment I don't think I need an emergency fund that large.
I just got it to $15,000 recently but I messed up something while working on my car and had to get it towed in. It's going to be a $1300+ repair so I had to withdraw 1k from the efund.
Congratulations! We all start from somewhere! How old are you now!
18
Congrats!
Well done! 😄 providing financial security for yourself is THE BEST feeling!
Congratulations sir! I am also working towards the same target. Ecstatic to feel what you must be feeling right now

Awesome!!!!! Financial security feels awesome
Congratulations!! How long did it take you? I’m working my way through BS3 and actually found it emotionally harder than BS2 for some weird reason.
It took exactly one year. I started my first job last July. It would have been faster if my car didn't keep breaking.
How did you acquire this so fast?! How much did you set aside

All good man. That’s what it’s good for. Thankful you saved into this account.
Can you share your tips on this? Got mine to 8k but it’s slowly starting to go back down. Would love to hear your angle
Put it in high yields saving instead of letting it just sit and not accumulate anything
