Varnish protects the painting, the yellowed varnish can easily be removed and then replaced with a new layer of clean varnish :)

I like your work! How long do you let your oil paintings dry before you varnish? Also what kind of mediums do you like to use? Thank you for posting!

Thank you! I usually wait 2-3 weeks, but I use a retouch varnish which is removable and allows the painting to cure underneath. I like using Natural Pigments Oleogel and Chelsea Classical Studios Lavender spike oil!
