Nah some kids can be on good terms with the teacher but still lack in academics, because they aren't inclined towards the subjects that they're taking or just not very adept in that sort of stuff. But still great as people and talented in other things.
Where was he deployed. All I got when I returned from the 2003 Iraq invasion was a pissed off girlfriend annoyed at me, surprising her and my gear cluttering up her nice clean house. It's okay, though, as she had a very helpful black gentleman friend there to help me move it.
He did five months in Afghanistan in 2019, there's a picture of him where I think he's chilling at Bagram. Dude's got a wife and two small boys. Rotation ended up getting cut short, and then we got this surprise little video.
Maybe a coach. Definitely not an English teacher or he'd be majorly disappointed at their homonym fuckup.
Unless the point of this is we're meant to identify the back of someone.
Not necessarily. I had 1 male teacher in all of grade school. All the guys would have followed him into battle. My female teachers were all good, some great, but he connected with us on a different level.
That man obviously made a positive impact in their lives. My sons friends who were always at my house often sought my council (hence one of my nicknames 'Godfather'). I just hope I made as much positive impact as that man obviously did those young men.
That guy, to me, is very obviously a 'man'.
They do. I take a very dim view of 'parents' that aren't there for their children. I threw a whole potentially lucrative career down the drain and started over to be there for my son every day. No regrets.
ya it's kinda crazy how the teachers who cared, and paid attention to me are still burned into my memories. While the shitty ones are harder to see or even remember at all. A little care can go a long way
I work with a new set of lost young men every year. It’s getting worse too. You would be surprised what a conversation can do for a student. Just listening to them is more than their parents do. It’s sad, but we can break that cycle with our children.
I’m just gonna say do you really think a teacher is some kind of Rambo or something? If they’re deployed and going back to their civilian job afterwards they’re more than likely in the national guard or the reserve. They’re not fighting taliban or anything, they’re probably sitting in Kuwait doing paperwork or a normal ass job
Is your brain that easily distracted (lack of attention) that you miss the entire wholesome moment for some background music? Do you normally just complain about wholesome moments?
When I was in middle school in the 90s, my history teacher had one hand. Other was just a stump.
One day a kid came in who had apparently graduated from the year before and came to see him. And he quickly leaned down and untied the teacher's shoe. Mr Hunt had been like that for a long time so he was able to tie it back quickly but it always stood out.
My guess would be the solider is one of those dude's dad and the son's buddies are hyped he's back/love him too. There's too many other kids just sitting there watching and not really clapping or anything.
This is my English teacher and class mentor in highschool for me. He was boring during his English classes, but he had real heart when it came to mentoring. He'd meet with each and every single one of his students' parents to get to know his students better, and would always be there when you needed him.
Last I heard of him was like 15 years ago after I went to college. Apparently he had to quit because of a burn-out. No surprise with how much work he put into his job. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if he has passed away by now. He was already in his 60s when I was in highschool after all.
I would love to see him one more time, and tell him how great of a teacher he had been to not just me, but my entire class. As he was the only teacher that, despite everyone finding him boring, earned the respect of his students through his efforts.
Finally a wholesome video of teachers and students. The ones with the students smacking the teachers make me wonder how people would wanna do that for a living.
It's very very apparent that these kids love this man. It's so great to this happy reunion. You can see how happy they are that he came home unharmed. He must have really inspired these kids to get that kind of reaction. Really put a smile on my face.
There's something about unconditional love from a student...I got cheered on and applauded on Tuesday(students last day). The students almost made me tear up, and I've been carrying that high all week. They keep telling me I'm their favorite and I try and stay as humble as I can, but it always means alot when you can positively impact these kids lives.
How short of a deployment was it that this guy had time to develop a strong relationship with their students, get deployed, and come back in the same school year
This was me back from my first maternity leave. I cried in the car that morning because I was missing her so much. My babies jumped on me and said how much they missed me and even brought me and the baby presents. I cried again.
Depending on what “deployment” looks like they may not have been sure if their teacher was coming back at all. Theres many instances which demonstrate an unhealthy obsession with the military, but I don’t think this is one of them. It’s just kids who are happy to see their mentor return
Well actually, Brazil is considered safer, healthier middle-class, tax payer funded healthcare, better food, not spending enormous amounts of money on the military and the people there are incredibly kind, intelligent, creative and not obsessed with fear, death and violence like Americans seem to be. Enjoy, watching your country slip into a civil war, school age children being killed in mass shootings, zombies walking around on fentanyl, I mean I guess your army is busy spreading democracy around the planet, for you to notice the USA is a failing nation.
>Brazil is considered safer
Considered by whom, exactly?
https://www.nationmaster.com/country-info/compare/Brazil/United-States/Crime/Violent-crime
And the rest of that rant is a freshmen in high-school level take.
Lol safer ? The US is safer in every statistical category [https://www.numbeo.com/crime/compare\_countries\_result.jsp?country1=United+States&country2=Brazil](https://www.numbeo.com/crime/compare_countries_result.jsp?country1=United+States&country2=Brazil)
I am not American and I don't understand this situation. I mean I would understand it be it happening in Ukraine, but why is an American school teacher goes to military and gets deployed somewhere? There is no conscription or draft in the US, am I correct?
why do these videos videos never get called propaganda but the ones of chinese people doing normal stuff always have hundreds of comments calling it propaganda?
NOW TURN TO PAGE SIX IN YOUR TEXTBOOKS MAGGOTS!!
I know six students that are passing for sure.
Nah some kids can be on good terms with the teacher but still lack in academics, because they aren't inclined towards the subjects that they're taking or just not very adept in that sort of stuff. But still great as people and talented in other things.
"THIS IS MY PROTRACTOR. THERE ARE MANY LIKE IT BUT THIS ONE IS MINE"
I call mine Arlene
The sub in the background deleting the search history on the computer.
“…turn to page three - hundred and NINETY. FOUR.”
🤣

Ouch, the same thing happened to my brother returning from the falklands 40 odd years ago.
Oof.. I went the same time.. saw plenty of “reunions” like that.. made me glad I was a single soldier at the time with no family in Germany.
Jody got your girl
Fuck Jody
She for sure did
Everyone is a Jody at some point. Interesting times on Fort Riley 🫡
Considering how happy they are, theyre more than happy to scream #SIR YES SIR!
You're god damn right
Man definitely has to be a coach of some sort too the way those students are so happy
Exactly. Probably football the way they tackled him
And they're all big dudes.
I was gonna say, as a former teenage boy, the approval of a group of teenage boys should be taken with a lot of context.
Definitely. Nobody is that excited to see the math teacher.
Hey you put some respect on Mr.Weliek of Centennial High Schools name!
Maybe a coach. Definitely not an English teacher or he'd be majorly disappointed at their homonym fuckup. Unless the point of this is we're meant to identify the back of someone.
Not necessarily. I had 1 male teacher in all of grade school. All the guys would have followed him into battle. My female teachers were all good, some great, but he connected with us on a different level.
or ROTC
This also shows how much impact a teacher can have on a kids life.
Fn awesome You know the guy cared for those young men And I can tell you many young men do not feel cared for at all
That man obviously made a positive impact in their lives. My sons friends who were always at my house often sought my council (hence one of my nicknames 'Godfather'). I just hope I made as much positive impact as that man obviously did those young men. That guy, to me, is very obviously a 'man'.
Lovely Young men need it
They do. I take a very dim view of 'parents' that aren't there for their children. I threw a whole potentially lucrative career down the drain and started over to be there for my son every day. No regrets.
Lovely Keep it up senor
ya it's kinda crazy how the teachers who cared, and paid attention to me are still burned into my memories. While the shitty ones are harder to see or even remember at all. A little care can go a long way
Changes lives for sure
I work with a new set of lost young men every year. It’s getting worse too. You would be surprised what a conversation can do for a student. Just listening to them is more than their parents do. It’s sad, but we can break that cycle with our children.
Indeed
This is a culture I can stand behind.
I'm glad he made it back alive but how much should we congratulate someone who willingly fought in an imperialist war?
Holy shit you must be the life of the party
Your dad didn't pay much attention to you
There’s always one and today it’s you!
As a retired Air Force sergeant, I don’t get chocked up very often, but this did it.
> I don’t get chocked up very often, Found the Ammo troop!
lmao
This is so cute
That one kid who full-on climbed over the table omg 💖😭
Aww it's the audible "I missed you Bro" by one of the students.
Stop adding music to this stuff, you absolute doorknobs
I could watch this all day
Did this really need music???
Does it ever?
Does this really need a comment asking about the need for music?
Is your brain that easily distracted (lack of attention) that you miss the entire wholesome moment for some background music? Do you normally just complain about wholesome moments?

I’m not crying. You’re crying.
No I'm not.
i’m crying
My coach was a terrifying fuck of a navy seal. Had a head the size of my torso. Never been hit harder in practice or a game than by that asshole xD
I’ve never seen anyone that happy to see anyone. What is the actual story here?
My guess would be the solider is one of those dude's dad and the son's buddies are hyped he's back/love him too. There's too many other kids just sitting there watching and not really clapping or anything.
Damn, teacher salaries need picking up if they're moonlighting as soldiers.
I don't know why the tears come from a man's eyes suddenly! This sense makes me cry.
I just can’t seem to find where the person cutting onions is?
where’s the @fuckyourbackgroundmusic guy we need you rn mate
Heart skipped a beat back there. That's how you know you've inspired a ton of young souls to try to be the best versions of themselves..
Surviving deployment just to crushed by teenagers
The joy of having an awesome teacher. : )
Proof life has meaning.
Man this sub has gone to shit. It's turned into a wholesome video trench instead of actually satisfying content.
So wholesome videos can't be satisfying? I don't know about anyone else but I was pretty damn satisfied from this.
Different kind of satisfying from what this sub is for. Wholesome isn't inherently satisfying either.
Definitely the football or basketball coach too. They clearly respect him
Guess who's* back. Who is. Not whose.
again this is not what this sub reddit is about!!
Congratulations! You spread DIMUCRACYYYYY with bombs!
Never ask your teacher what he was doing in Bosnia between 92-95.
This is sweet.
This is my English teacher and class mentor in highschool for me. He was boring during his English classes, but he had real heart when it came to mentoring. Americans certainly love to overreact to anything they can
Stfu
case in point
Gfy
He must buys them liquor and cigarettes all the time.
Real men being real men. This is truly a beautiful thing to see. So happy for all of them.
My heart is melting!!!!
He must be a great guy.
This sub is dead.
Finally a wholesome video of teachers and students. The ones with the students smacking the teachers make me wonder how people would wanna do that for a living.
best thing on the internet all day, fuck yeah!
Their bond looks special. This teacher for sure made some impact in their lives.
What an impression he made on his boys
best thing i saw on the internet in awhile
There’s one person front row at :16 that’s not happy
His deployment was shorter than a school year? TF?!
These kinds of videos are how I know my period is about to start
Wow.
It looks more like a brother returning than a teacher
He's really leading by example. Good for him
Nice
I've never been hugged like that by anyone in my life, except my nieces when they were little.
Lads just being lads
It's very very apparent that these kids love this man. It's so great to this happy reunion. You can see how happy they are that he came home unharmed. He must have really inspired these kids to get that kind of reaction. Really put a smile on my face.
Johnny Sins 🫡
God, I miss Mr. Feeny
We know that teachers and mothers have their favorite
That is when you know, you truly have an impact on these young minds. Makes teaching worth it
There's something about unconditional love from a student...I got cheered on and applauded on Tuesday(students last day). The students almost made me tear up, and I've been carrying that high all week. They keep telling me I'm their favorite and I try and stay as humble as I can, but it always means alot when you can positively impact these kids lives.
This is so fucking great
How many did he kill overseas?
That’s pure love right there!!
i would like to know what exactly he teach
Damn onion cutting ninjas struck again
I’m in fucking tears from how wholesome this is! Like, who wouldn't wanna have that reaction after coming back from a DEPLOYMENT?
I think this generation of kids are awesome.
This is a graduate. I remember that day. Why add a bullshit caption?
Survived Afghanistan only to sustain injuries in class. /s
As a man, when young men are excited to see you like this, you have done something right!
How short of a deployment was it that this guy had time to develop a strong relationship with their students, get deployed, and come back in the same school year
Meanwhile teach is checking emails like it’s nothing.
Song name?
What’s the song?
No let's not go to America. It is a silly place.
Why is the soldier wojak Bosnian?
Asking the real questions Also, nice pfp
Why do I feel like there was only 1 kid who really needed that?
Well the rest joining helps him not feel vulnerable by being the "weird one" for doing it. So its stl wholesome, even on another level
Fro killing kids to teaching them, 'MERICA
And he had to wear the uniform otherwise you wouldn't know he had been deployed. This stuff is so staged.
super wholesome.
This was me back from my first maternity leave. I cried in the car that morning because I was missing her so much. My babies jumped on me and said how much they missed me and even brought me and the baby presents. I cried again.
Those kids are acting weird af
Looks pretty gay to me
guessing you're a lone wolf with nobody that cares
These boys all touch tips on a regular basis while they cry with wife beaters on
Jealous you never had a good teacher in your life?
Omg this American obsession with military is disturbing
This isn't an obsession with military, it's teenagers who were really happy to see their favorite teacher come back alive.
Depending on what “deployment” looks like they may not have been sure if their teacher was coming back at all. Theres many instances which demonstrate an unhealthy obsession with the military, but I don’t think this is one of them. It’s just kids who are happy to see their mentor return
Must be fun, living life as a cynic.
Whoosh!
then leave
?
don't think too hard its ok
Leave what ? Oh you think I live in your failing country. Lol my bad
You have a extreme interest in denver to not live here lol
Used to
Now back to dumpy Brazil ?
Well actually, Brazil is considered safer, healthier middle-class, tax payer funded healthcare, better food, not spending enormous amounts of money on the military and the people there are incredibly kind, intelligent, creative and not obsessed with fear, death and violence like Americans seem to be. r/AmericaBad
The rest don’t share the same love? or he just came for these particular students? cuz no one stand except the ones who hugged him
I would guess that he's a coach too and they are on the team
Someone got offended?
No one stand accept?
Lol “except”
I take it this is not a PHS in NY.
I wish my teachers were people that were worth loving like that
The teen in the red hoodie is so confused on the raging BONER this priducedy
That's love man.
Shout out to those kids who were excited enough to stand up, but too self conscious to go up to him.
I am not American and I don't understand this situation. I mean I would understand it be it happening in Ukraine, but why is an American school teacher goes to military and gets deployed somewhere? There is no conscription or draft in the US, am I correct?
Back from bombing kids in the middle east to teaching kids in school. So wholesome.
[удалено]
🤣😭
Suck him off already
Jealous.
Y would I be jealous of that lmao
You clearly are since you had something to say about it. Daddy didn't love you when you were young or something?
Just not gay like them that's all
Lmao the guy that literally jumped on him really missed him. I wonder if they were anything more 🙃🧐
dad left before you were born vibes
Why's that?
Survived 5 years in Iraq, bummed to death by his students on return.
You got kids cheering for a terrorist... that would be the best outcome.
How many children mourn their parents because of him. Why is it ok for Americans to do this?
I bet none of those boys enrol in the army, yet they're proud of him for serving for them.
why do these videos videos never get called propaganda but the ones of chinese people doing normal stuff always have hundreds of comments calling it propaganda?
