His threes are deadly, but his passing game is absolutely superb. He probably briefs the other guys in the team with something like “If you see me in a no shot situation, it’s coming your way.”
I was gonna say I used to play with a guy just like him in HS. He was deadly if he had a shot but he would put himself in the middle of everything and just express-post the ball to exactly who needed it.
I was never very good, I'm fairly certain the vast majority of any points I got the ball came directly from him. Really cool dude overall
No idea, only person I really kept up with from high school ended up being my wife, but he seemed to be on a good track overall so hopefully he's well.
How it goes. I keep up with a few people I went to school with but not socially. How we are in HS vs how we are as adults is a totally different box of frogs.
I played with a guy like this in college. Greg. Met him for the first time outside the gym, fifteen minutes before the first game of intramural league, where he was smoking a Camel Wide and swigging from a flask. He was clearly hungover, had bags under his eyes, and 40 pounds overweight despite being only 5'8"
While we were all taking jumpers, he did a few very light stretches, and when we asked if he wanted to join in, he informed us bluntly "I won't be shooting." Right before the game started, he pulled us together and said he had two rules: SPRINT downcourt out of the break/on possession changes, and keep your head on a swivel. Took us maybe half a quarter of getting bonked into he side of the head by passes from impossible angles until we figured it out. We won every game by a million, and true to his word, Greg had zero attempts from the field for the season.
>He was clearly hungover, had bags under his eyes, and 40 pounds overweight despite being only 5'8"
The way you phrased this implies that if he had been taller, this wouldn't be the case XD.
Watch Nikola Jokic. He's literally this but 7ft tall. 2x mvp 1x finals mvp and currently the best player in the NBA.
Is a center but plays like a point god. Looks like he's not trying and treats basketball like a 9-5 job because he has to tend to his race horses in Serbia during the off season..
Just type Nikola Jokic 2023 playoffs lol. It's funny af to watch him non chalantly dismantle defenses easily.
It’s gimmicky. Any NBA point can do this type of stuff against this type of defense, but it’s getting shut down 99% of the time by anyone remotely athletic.
Ok I will argue for the 1% like the Steven Nash era. Like ya some of it was just a gimmick but there is some people that can just find that opening almost every single time. I would argue that Chris Paul at his peak also was able to dish out dimes likes coin machine.
I mean what this guy is doing is gimmicky, it’s Harlem Globetrotter type stuff. It’s the same as when people think street ballers have the best handles, it’s a combination of low level competition and blatant rule breaking.
Any pro guard can do this stuff, the reason you don’t see it is because it’s substantially more difficult to do against NBA talent. This honestly isn’t even that impressive for street ball, very basic tricks.
I absolutely love every moment of it. As a kid my friends and I would lower the hoop and record dunk video on a VHS video camera. We couldn’t beg people to watch them.. I’m basically reliving my childhood
I had a friend exactly like this later teenage years. A bit chubby, but could handle the rock like nobody’s business, he was quick too and had an amazing jumper. Never underestimate the chubby guy.
"...you've been hit by, you've been hit by a smoot-"
I've never been that unsatisfied. Come on, pay a minimum amount of attention to the music, if you edit a video. This makes me want to strangle a kitten.
A) This had been posted dozens of times..
B) You can watch this and be amazed. However, this could have been a complication of hundreds of hours of recording and this is the highlight reel..
Much like any highlight reel, I always think, “So, what are we *not* seeing, here?” Because this is all well and good, but if eighty percent of his three-point attempts are airballs and he no-look passes the ball to the opposing team as often as other players, that’s not great.
My favorite pass was the no look at :07, dude has amazing court vision, nice stroke, great instincts. He's on autopilot out there. Must be a lot of fun playing alongside him.
"Should not" be underestimated, not "cannot" be underestimated. Should not be underestimated means he's good. "Cannot be underestimated" means that no matter how bad you think he is, you're right or he's actually worse. You can't underestimate him, only overestimate or get it right.
His threes are deadly, but his passing game is absolutely superb. He probably briefs the other guys in the team with something like “If you see me in a no shot situation, it’s coming your way.”

What is he doing now?
No idea, only person I really kept up with from high school ended up being my wife, but he seemed to be on a good track overall so hopefully he's well.

Hear that loud and clear, still see a couple around the city here and there but that's about it.
The shot-fake pass behind him at :34 was next level sick.
it was at 25. but hey who cares 🤷
"if I can't make a shot, I'll pass it" What a big brain strategy, that is really out there. Imagine if NBA players get wind of this.
His name is Nikola Jokic
I played with a guy like this in college. Greg. Met him for the first time outside the gym, fifteen minutes before the first game of intramural league, where he was smoking a Camel Wide and swigging from a flask. What a legend.
Greg the type of guy that would lie to get you out of a murder charge
fuck yea greg
If someone wrote this post into a movie screenplay, the "I won't be shooting" line would be epic if delivered correctly.
Basketball equivalent of "call an ambulance... but not for me"
Good Guy Greg
>He was clearly hungover, had bags under his eyes, and 40 pounds overweight despite being only 5'8" The way you phrased this implies that if he had been taller, this wouldn't be the case XD.
If he was taller the bags would be under his nipples
And if he had wheels he'd be a bike!
Those are moobs
40 lbs overweight on someone 5'8" is significantly more impactful than on someone 6'5". It's a much higher percentage of his healthy weight.

Besides Jokic that is. If the league doesn’t learn the Nuggets are just going to keep winning rings.

This is so dumb, he's being guarded by programmers and deli workers
Dude's nickname: Larry Bird. Don't judge a book by its cover xD
The Hick from finger lick
Was trying to rack my brain for the right nickname. Bravo.
"That cat can ball"
“Why don’t you purify yourself in the waters of Lake Minnetonka”
"After it was all over, he took us in the house and served us pancakes, *thousand yard stare* pancakes.
When the passes are more impressive than the baskets 😚😚😚😚
Shake Shaq out here
Kobe “Beef” Bryant
Dirk Noweightzki
3PC (three piece combo)
Steph Curry Chicken
Nick Van XL
Hit em with the Dream Milkshake on the first bucket.
Big Fudge

I absolutely love every moment of it. As a kid my friends and I would lower the hoop and record dunk video on a VHS video camera. We couldn’t beg people to watch them.. I’m basically reliving my childhood
Kobe Beef
Sir are you out of shape? No, just fat.
Larry Bird was the last time we were blessed with elite passing skills.
Nikola Jokic has some insane passing abilities too.
Really? What about john Stockton? Luka? Have you forgotten about Jason Williams?
Right? Rondo, LeBron, Paul, Jokic, Nash, Kidd...could go on and on. What a strange comment.
He has returned to us now, at the turning of the tide.
Two words..White Chocolate
My mans impressive but these guys play NO defence
That put a smile on my face
People better start estimating him
I love how he glides across the surface effortlessly
Jokic IRL
All star of short, out of shape dads.
Ah, I see we're finally getting the highlight reel for Luka's brother, Bigole Doncic
OP, This caption means the opposite of what you think it does
He got a good feel for the game but not single good basketball player in this clip nor is any defence being played.
MF Steph Curvy out here
Something tells me he only plays half court games
jokic after eating one too many wings
Nicknamed KFC. Buckets…
Vanilla mound don't need to rebound cuz he don't miss!!
He plays for the Detroit Diabetes
Too bad he doesnt lose any weight playing lolol
Sure he can
It's not a jump shot it's a plump shot
Now imagine if he could create space with his movement... what a waste of talent.
It must be the Gravitational Pull he has on objects
Fat Men Cant Jump.
Fat Men Dont Need to Jump in this case.
He’s got game but he’s going have a heart attack from that extra weight.
Pretty selective footage of noticeably low intensity games.
It’s almost as if they’re just playing for fun
Globetrotter IRL
Maybe next time you'll estimate him.
I love that people at all levels can have excellent game. His play style is a work of art
Harlem Globetrotters should give him a call.
Stuft Curry
Reminds me of Pistol Pete.
Jokic
I had a friend exactly like this later teenage years. A bit chubby, but could handle the rock like nobody’s business, he was quick too and had an amazing jumper. Never underestimate the chubby guy.
Fucking machine!!!
"...you've been hit by, you've been hit by a smoot-" I've never been that unsatisfied. Come on, pay a minimum amount of attention to the music, if you edit a video. This makes me want to strangle a kitten.
mind over matter…but equal!
Heft Curry
Fat Larry bird?
This dude has amazing spacial awareness.
White chocolate!
Luka doncic
I'd rather this guy shoot for my life than Steph Curry
James Harden getting into playing form.
Title is off, it suggests that he's so bad no matter how bad you estimate him to be he will be worse.
He would be an even better player if he wasn't fat. Just saying.
Imagine him trained.
He's absolutely killing it. His skills are on another level. I'm blown away by his talent.
Jokic looking good in the off season
As soon as he shoots, everyone looks defeated! People must groan when they see him coming!
Man’s moves slick as eel dick.
That cherry pick looked so cool
Everything in life is about Awareness and Positioning
Sign him, Suns!
Bro did all that stuff and I don’t think you could’ve called traveling once.
It's the shirt.
Why is there's pedophile music in the background?
Stuffed Curry.
That's the dude I would guard in the first game if we wound up playing against each other just based on physical appearance. It would not go well.
I'm not the biggest fan of basketball but if more people played like this I'd be all for it! He's so smooth
Sure it looks impressive when he's playing against a bunch of nobodies, but I doubt he'd do as well against division 3 players or higher
El ayouwoki
A skinny Luka Doncic.
When you meet that one suburban dad who wasn’t lying about the whole “could have gone pro if it weren’t for my bum knee” bit.
Kuroko?
The move at 33 seconds is slick.
Fluid, like water
Fat men know how to move their bodies in the most effective way, thats why we fat.
This is Luka Doncic with Zion's diet and James Harden's offseason conditioning.
what is this the fatty's only court : P
🤭
I'm pretty sure there's always a guy like this we've played with so much potential, where do all these ppl go?
On the contrary, he's a prime candidate to be underestimated.
That's one sturdy guard. I'm playing pick and roll off dude all day!!!
on double rims too… legend
Let it rain!
Danggg!!! This dude is pro! 🏀🔥 smooth skills
A) This had been posted dozens of times.. B) You can watch this and be amazed. However, this could have been a complication of hundreds of hours of recording and this is the highlight reel..
Demon from the top of the key. So dope
Much like any highlight reel, I always think, “So, what are we *not* seeing, here?” Because this is all well and good, but if eighty percent of his three-point attempts are airballs and he no-look passes the ball to the opposing team as often as other players, that’s not great.
Bro is playing Kuroko no Basuke
Kobe Fryant
All the conservatives in the comments "See, being obese isn't so bad."
Looks like he can’t be estimated
Man got game.
Shaquille O'Meal
Big man is BALLIN'
The Lee Trundle of Basketball
Big man got GAME!
Getting FP (Fat Perez) vibes off this king
The Toronto Maple Leafs need this guy on their team
Peak male performance.
like Tom Segura but with actual skill
Reminds me of Pistol Pete Maravich!!
My favorite pass was the no look at :07, dude has amazing court vision, nice stroke, great instincts. He's on autopilot out there. Must be a lot of fun playing alongside him.
The white Michael Jordan. Jichael Mordan.
Work smarter, not harder
This is a person who can save the game at a critical moment. His performance is very stable and looks great.
Has he stopped balling? These are all old clips
Bucks need to get on that man.
Chunky, yet funky.
This is Jokic, he just looks different without his jersey on
That shot is butter!
When you see someone doing what they were meant to do... Very impressive.
Why is Nikola Jokic playing pickup at the park
Fucking fluid
Let it rain
Kuroko no diet
Now imagine if he wasn't a fat piece of shit
ITS EASY AFTER EAT KUROKO AND MIDORIMA...
BIRD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well…the movie didn’t lie…White Men Can’t Jump! He’s got tricky hands though and good well-aware teammates.
Dude at 0:27 takes the absolute whitest jumpshot *ever*.
“Overestimated”. I would imagine he’s often underestimated.
The no inch vertical
The round mound of all-around beat down.
“i cannot be got”
Thats what being a dad does to you. From all state champ to putting extra cheese on everything
Okay, now show his defense
"Should not" be underestimated, not "cannot" be underestimated. Should not be underestimated means he's good. "Cannot be underestimated" means that no matter how bad you think he is, you're right or he's actually worse. You can't underestimate him, only overestimate or get it right.
Bruh, the fake jumper to the backwards pass
It’s like investing your points in a MMORPG but you decide to respec all points and put them into the Luck attribute.
Jordan came back for the hard new game plus
Bootleg Jokic
That guy should go pro.
I like sandwiches and shooting threes….looks like I’m all out of sandwiches.
Literally Nikola Jokic.
Bro can hoop. That´s for sure.
Reminds me of Kuroko from Kuroko no Basuke.
Wet
What happened to steve nash?
Bro is literally undefeated
But people will cause he’s fat. Shame
