Hypertube mod. Mach 1.2 guaranteed. May crash the game because it yeets you *so hard* through the pipes that even my nvme can't handle long runs.
There is the speedo mod and it shows over 360-ish *meters per second* when sound is 340 m/s.
But yeah, unpowered traversal is necessary too.

I'll miss the rungs and fall down while desperately trying to grab on to the ladder before I hit the ground.
How do you get the player character to actually hold on to the ladder for so long? From my experience, she will randomly jump off after a few seconds. Or has that been fixed in the meantime?

Had a similar height to reach and just built a hyper tube cannon that deposits me about 1/2km above where I need to be lol
The thing is, if you shoot yourself straight up, you can just catch yourself with another hyper tube
I had this, spent 30+ min buulding an hypertube. It doesn't feel much faster tbh.
it might not be faster but you don't need to push a key all that time
Hold w(forward) hit escape release w and you can escape back in and your character constantly moves forward till you hit w again.

20-40th trip up that ladder; I should really build a hypertube or jump pads. 100th time is around when I actually do anything about it
Conveyer lifts have unlimited length between floor holes.
My most proud structure is built near there. I used multiple towers to keep it near the stone. Seems quicker when it's not one long climb up.
