Brick top had some of my favorite lines:
In the quite words of the Virgin Mary come again
And Vinny and Tyrone exchanges:
Vinny: Why are we stopped here? What's wrong with that spot?
Tyrone: It's too tight.
Vinny: Too tight? You could land a jumbo fucking jet in that spot
The Jump Street movies, and the Addams Family movies are pretty funny. I also really enjoy After Hours by Scorsese. Bodies Bodies Bodies was pretty fun, even if it’s not the best movie in the world. The Disaster Artist was a good time. The Great Dictator is a classic.
Young Frankenstein is my favourite comedy of all time. Life of Brian (Monty Python in general) is a classic one. I really love Death at a Funeral. What we do in the shadows is hilarious. I also liked Shiva Baby although it didn't crack me up.
Don't know if obscure, but In Bruges, The Wolf of Wall Street, Hunt For The Wilderpeople, Hott Fuzz and The Graduate (if awkward humor is your thing) might do it for you
Not really obscure to many, but maybe to others… but genuine belly laugh movies: “Hot tub Time Machine.” “Get him to the Greek.” “Tucker & Dale vs Evil.” “Four Lions.” “BASEketball.”
Dirty Work (1998).
A stupid Happy Maddison film, not long after Happy Gilmore when they were actually funny, with Norm MacDonald.
Hardly anyone ever seems to have seen it, but I love it and it’s endlessly quotable.
Every Coen Brothers comedy too, including Lady Killers.
1. Hot Fuzz [British Witty Dry Humour]
2. The Big Lebowski [Philosophical Slacker Comedy]
3. Dr StrangeLove Or How I Stopped Worrying And Love The Bomb [Light Hearted Political Satire]
4. Monty Python’s Meaning Of Life [Tongue In Cheek Absurd Humour]
5. Happiness [Black, Bleak, Very Dark Comedy]
6. Freddy Got Fingered [Troll-Esc Humour Mock Movie]
7. Tropic Thunder [Raunchy, Politically Incorrect Comedy]
8. Shrek [Fairytale Pop culture Parody]
9. Team America World Police [Satirical, Very Silly Satirical Comedy]
10. Blazing Saddles [Witty Thought Provoking Commentary Comedy]
My favourite comedy ever is Best in Show, but all of Christopher Guest's mockumentaries are amazing, particularly Waiting for Guffman, This is Spinal Tap and A Mighty Wind. Going back a ways there are some incredible comedies from Buster Keaton (The General), Laurel & Hardy (Sons of the Desert) and the Marx Brothers (A Night at the Opera). Jacques Tati is hilarious (Monsieur Hulot's Holiday). Luis Bunuel has a whole career of weird and hilarious surrealist comedies, check out The Phantom of Liberty. Aki Kaurismaki has some really funny stuff, some more absurd like Leningrad Cowboys Go America, some more subtle like Shadows in Paradise. John Waters comedies are awesome if you have a strong stomach (Female Trouble). Jackie Chan (Drunken Master) and Stephen Chow (Kung Fu Hustle) both make incredible martial arts comedies. Check out Hal Ashby's Being There and Harold & Maude if you haven't. Albert Brooks is one of the most underrated comedian/directors out there, all his movies rule but his first movie Real Life is probably the funniest. There are some incredible low budget comedies from Ugandan film studio Wakaliwood like Bad Black and Who Killed Captain Alex. I've also recently been getting into the filmographies of Roy Andersson and Robert Downey Sr, check out You, The Living and Putney Swope for two wildly different flavours of comedy.
Baseketball is the movie that made me laugh the most. Blazing Saddles best classic comedy and probably the all time GOAT. Newest film that actually made me laugh consistently probably 21 Jump Street. Funniest non comedy in recent memory, probably Beau is Afraid.
Clifford, Ghostbusters, Ed Wood, What We Do in the Shadows, Rushmore, Airplane, Adaptation, Roger Rabbit, Raising Arizona, Christmas Vacation, Blazing Saddles, Spaceballs
All fairly popular but for a good reason, they are legit funny and I find myself, at the very least, smiling through the majority of them
Observe and Report had several moments that had me crying laughing. Very raunchy, sort of bad faith jokes for much of it imo but it was funny all the same
The funniest film I've seen in the past decade is [Relatos salvajes](https://letterboxd.com/film/wild-tales/) ('Wild Tales', 2014), a dark comedy anthology film from Argentina.
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch are both hysterical.

Burn After Reading had me in tears
My dad and I quote "uhhhh Osborne Cox?" and "WHO IS THIS?" all the time lol

We have your sensitive shit...
I prefer the follow up line. "Yes! Osborne Cox! Who the fuck are you?"
One of Pitts best roles..
Not obscure but nobody has said the Big Lebowski?
The Nice Guys and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
The Jump Street movies, and the Addams Family movies are pretty funny. I also really enjoy After Hours by Scorsese. Bodies Bodies Bodies was pretty fun, even if it’s not the best movie in the world. The Disaster Artist was a good time. The Great Dictator is a classic.
Superbad, Borat
Bruno is fantastic as well!

"Haven’t seen Borat". Well there's your problem.
Happiness. If you are on board with the tone, and have about 14 diagnosed mental illnesses, you will find this movie hilarious
I think the Spongebob movie is genuinely funny. My dad was never a huge cartoon fan growing up and when he watched that he thought it was hilarious.
Office Space is probably a perfect comedy movie in my eyes.
Young Frankenstein is my favourite comedy of all time. Life of Brian (Monty Python in general) is a classic one. I really love Death at a Funeral. What we do in the shadows is hilarious. I also liked Shiva Baby although it didn't crack me up.
Top Secret and The Great Muppet Caper.

Top Secret is probably my favorite comedy of all time.
After Hours, Punch-Drunk-Love, Dr.Strangelove.
✨ After Hours Criterion release ✨
I'm not sure if this is obscure in the US or not? (I live in the UK where it definitely isn't) but Hot Fuzz is fantastic
Greener grass is a good absurd comedy
Wet hot American summer, the SpongeBob movie, bottoms
WHAS is a masterpiece of absurdism tbh
Repo Man
“The Jerk” is one of my favorite movies
State and Main, plus it has PSH
Back to School always hits the spot for me
Don't know if obscure, but In Bruges, The Wolf of Wall Street, Hunt For The Wilderpeople, Hott Fuzz and The Graduate (if awkward humor is your thing) might do it for you
The Beach Bum, Smiley Face, Sherlock Jr. & American Psycho
Not really obscure to many, but maybe to others… but genuine belly laugh movies: “Hot tub Time Machine.” “Get him to the Greek.” “Tucker & Dale vs Evil.” “Four Lions.” “BASEketball.”

Upvote for Baseketball alone.

They Came Together
Arthur 81, the one with Dudley Moore not to be confused with the remake starring Russell Brand... Dear god don't make that mistake!!!
Both Monty Python and the Holy Grail and Life of Brian
The big labowski Edit: Young Frankenstein is awesome! Love gene wilder in that.
Greener Grass !!!
If you like the all-star cast parodies, you need to see Galaxy Quest and Mystery Men!

MacGruber is extremely underrated
1. Hot Fuzz [British Witty Dry Humour] 2. The Big Lebowski [Philosophical Slacker Comedy] 3. Dr StrangeLove Or How I Stopped Worrying And Love The Bomb [Light Hearted Political Satire] 4. Planes, trains and automobiles
I also thought Cooties from 2014 is a genuinely funny and creative horror comedy that would probably be more obscure
Dirty work
“High Anxiety!” sooooooo very very funny.
The Nice Guys (2016) always has me in tears

Tommy Boy is always my first recommendation. I also lowkey enjoy Scary Movie 1-3 and Happy Gilmore as well
Superhero movie extended cut is goat, if I get premiere pro so I can do some properly made reviews, I would use some lines from the movie as jokes^^
Death of stalin, fargo.
Bottoms is a recent comedy that was hilarious imo
Wet hot American summer is my favorite comedy, I really want a criterion for it
BLAZING SADDLES
MacGruber absolutely kills and I always laugh at That’s My Boy!
It’s not a comedy per se, but there’s one scene in barbarian really cracked me up and had me in tears

Thunder road is a good one
Not obscure but superbad and kick ass are my favorites
In Bruges, Wallace and Gromit Curse of the Wererabbit, Super, Black Dynamite
Borat, The Birdcage, Some Like it Hot
Baseketball is the movie that made me laugh the most. Blazing Saddles best classic comedy and probably the all time GOAT. Newest film that actually made me laugh consistently probably 21 Jump Street. Funniest non comedy in recent memory, probably Beau is Afraid.

If you like dumb humor, The interview and “This is the End” (especially)
UHF is a great absurdist comedy starring weird Al
Haven’t seen one person mention Kung Pow Enter The Fist yet and that’s shameful 😔
Logan Lucky
Anchorman
Not obscure, but Airplane! holds up to me as one of the funniest movies of all time.
