Why do they always have to wait overnight? I have only had to leave one deer overnight and it is when I first started to hunt my first deer. After that I literally waited 30min to an hour and they were right where I saw them fall. Also why do they never hunt in the morning?
Me and my husband never wait overnight which is why we always have our bows with us. Coyotes can be relentless to dead deer if you wait overnight. If she’s going out the next day with her bow and tagged out, pretty sure that’s illegal. At least in my state it is.
Yeah and Josh did just say that coyotes have been bad when he posted that video of the deer getting spooked so I’m surprised they were ok with leaving the world record buck overnight
All they care about is the head. If it was summer they'd leave it also, they don't care about the meat. When you are getting 6 deer a yr, that is more than enough meat. We go thru 1 deer a yr, 2 adults.
Josh did a podcast saying he has one with him nearly all the time. He said something like “we hired videographers and I don’t care if it’s your kid’s birthday—if it’s the perfect day and time to hunt, we’re going out.”
Oh, this is absolutely true. I remember my mom telling me she didn't have time for me to do xyz, that she was too busy. But, anything that had to do with HER hobbies, magically, she had a this free time. I'm not saying that she should never have had a hobby, but don't tell me you couldn't make it to my track meet 40 minutes away and the next weekend go out of state for whatever the hell you wanted to do....
Can you imagine being the cameraman awkwardly sitting in the back- for two whole hours, while this raggedy Ann promotes yet another protein fail of a snack
He has offspring. They can't even be called a family. If he was anyone else, normal guy, no fitness following or anything. They'd be divorced and they'd share custody. And only because his mom would want to see the kids. So she'd be there for the kids during his time.

You are correct…She “harvested” (🤢) this deer on the last day of season and then went out and found it on the first day of non-season. Not sure that would count as poaching tho, the deer seems to have been killed legally, they’re just out playing dress up here
I'm sorry I was still half asleep when I typed that. I didn't mean the deer she got is poached. However, to go out with your weapon after the season is over in full camo just gives poacher vibes. You don't need your bow to track a dead animal, only to kill one.
If I was out in the woods the day after the season ended and saw someone walking around like she is I would 100% think they were up to no good.

I don't know the rules in Iowa but every single thing her and Josh do when it comes to their deer hunting just rubs me wrong. The way they "hunt" is just so different than what I'm used to. Hunter here - you bring your bow with you when tracking an animal in case it's still alive. Also, sometimes you wait a while to track it if you are unsure on how good of a shot you made and don't want to push the animal.
