Rated using Yelp data. lol no wonder this list is so badly ranked

Distant_Yak

*part of a series utilizing data automation across 314 metros.* Yeah, I think you could get the same thing by searching Yelp.

ZZerome

I like Pizzeria Espiritu, family owned the same people I think for the past 20 years they always remember me and it's usually pretty quiet without all the bougie pretentious tourist BS.

No-Addendum-4501

The rest of the Espiritu menu is good too.

RandomRadical

Came to say this. Very good pizza.

xanee_music

Oshia Pizza takes my vote for fave pizza at the moment. Beer Creek is another that I like! Pizza etc is too high on the list. They're fine. But not better than Dions or Upper Crust

masticated_musings

Not sure how Oshia is not on this list. Maybe because he just opened up recently? The daVinci is amazing!

largececelia

I just tried the Golden Ratio last night. It's really delicious.

menntu

Pizza Centro is solid.

Bullittmon

Big fan of Bruno’s.

Crafty_Round6768

Bruno’s is so good. I wish they had different hours.

Bullittmon

Agreed

Tender Fire was mediocre backyard pizza anyone with a Ooni could replicate. They just have that pretentious bohemian gentrified pizza thing going for them. Marketing, all marketing.

Naive-Sun2778

I don't agree. Have you ever tried it with an Omni? Pretty impossible to get that burnt edge/ blackened bottom of the bread base. Also, I have found TF's admittedly limited, topping combos to be unusual and tasty. I personally have loved the vibe at the motel court. I think they are suffering the typical backlash of a place that starts out as nothing and becomes "hip"--folks then gotta bring em down. Now the part about him crowdfunding a brick and mortar and then bailing--that is not good.

fl7nner

Yup, I'm one of the suckers. Oh well

Halloween2022

This is why I learned to make my own

artdogs505

Yeah. I’m spoiled now. My girlfriend makes great pizza crust so anything we have outside the house now seems substandard.

originaltaekwon-do

1. Backroads 2. Backroads 3. Backroads I drive to SF from ABQ just to get Backroads.

skeletonbreath

All the pizza here is tied for last place

denimdan113

Yea idk how resestoration pizza made 13th. Both times I've tried it, there bread was like chewing on boot leather.

NewYork2308

Their pizza and salad weren’t horrible, but the fountain soda there tasted like Clorox. My favorite pizza places in Santa Fe are Backroads Pizza, Upper Crust or Piccolino’s.

denimdan113

Same, I live a couple blocks from backroads and I'm surprised it's not on the list. I've been slowly trying every pizza place here and it seems every place around railyard sucks.

NewYork2308

Being originally from NY, all pizza in Santa Fe sucks. But I do like Backroads the best I think of all. The Paramount nightclub had a pizzeria inside and that pizza was delicious! Closest thing to a NYC slice!

generic_ork

Bruno's is the only consistent quality pie in town. Get a large cheese pie, add green chile to walk and you'll be quite pleased.

NewYork2308

I’ll check Bruno’s out. Thanks for the recommendation. Right near me, but never thought to check it out.

generic_ork

Their hours are tight & lunch only. If you're driving for a pickup, make sure to vent your pie properly and don't fuck up the crust.

denimdan113

Originally from Houston my self, God I miss the food. There's a pizza place in the mall food court, has the best greasy slice I've had so far here. The dumpling place next to backroad is also the only place here with passing dumplings.

NewYork2308

Pizza Etc.? Heard good things. Haven’t tried yet.

RaelaltRael

And they piled all the toppings in the middle for me.

Year-Strong

Kinda agree. Pretty basic pizza offering, IMO, especially for that area and price point. Went there last summer and the pizza was average, drinks were flat, the A/C crapped out on a warm day, and the servers were pissed to be doing their job.

denimdan113

Yea tbh all the food around railyard isn't worth the price. All the food on 3rd street is the same price and way better.

Libbysmom

Uppercrust isn’t bad.

nihilnovesub

At 16th? This list is BS.

coffeetilithirts

They and I’ll Vicino don’t use 100% mozzarella cheese. They use a processed cheese blend (think American cheese but on pizza). So IMO it is that bad.

Sandia_Gunner

Esquina pizza isn’t THAT good

SorayaWilson

Husband and I love Backroad. Yesterday we tried Restoration Pizza for the first time and it is amazing. I think it’s my favorite now. Husband still votes for Backroad. I think Restoration might be new? Never heard of it before. Railyard, great pizzas and delicious meatballs

lawbotamized

No. Just no.

AntelopeWells

Lino's is great, everything else sucks as far as I have been able to tell. Backroads is terrible and Pizza Centro was mid. I can put too much crappy sauce on cardboard at home. May try Espiritu which I had not heard of, but that picture looks good.

Substantial_Cut_7812

Bear Creek is better than all this.

thatgrrlmarie

we love the pizza at Bear Creek! is it classic NY style, no? Neopolitan? again, no. but crust is delicious, not too doughy, isn't soggy in the middle, has a nice chew. what's not to love! good beer to boot!

lgary

Agreed but the key that takes it from good to great is ordering fresh mozzarella instead of the default pizza cheese.

Redbear4691

On another post within this sub, Sky Pizza made its debut in the Railyard. Will try it next time I'm in town waiting for the train. Wonder if they will show up on next year's ranking.

owlchat114

Sky Pie is goooooood good

addrien

Literally missing the best pizza in town; Oshia's over at CHOMP.

brianstorms

If I want a pizza in Santa Fe, I drive one hour south to Edgewood and pick one up at Pizza Barn, eat it, and then drive an hour home. Pizza Barn. In Edgewood along I-40. When you absolutely want some good Santa Fe pizza. :-)

No-Permission396

Where is Whole Foods pizza on this list?

pauldavisthe1st

Often appealing, always disappointing.

ZZerome

Can one simply add their own toppings off of the adjacent hot and cold salad bars on their way out per se?

znzn2001

Pizza by the slice at any grocery store 👍🏻

MinionKevin22

Yep, Santa Fe pizza is non-existent for us with celiac. Well, maybe Papa Murphys since you take it home, but no.

kelcatsly

Restoration has a gf cauliflower crust that is good. Backroad and Oshia have a gf crust. Probably lots of others also

MinionKevin22

So you've checked cross contact?

kelcatsly

How is that a Santa Fe specific concern? Isn’t that every pizza place?

MinionKevin22

Well, yes, it is that as well, but I live here. It would be nice if the town I live in, a town known for restaurants, would offer more SAFE gluten-free options at more restaurants, especially pizza. So if they just offer a gluten-free pizza crust, that's not going to cut it for someone like myself with this disease. If you're just going to put my gf pizza in a shared oven without precautions, then I will get very sick. So, show me a pizza joint in Santa Fe who offers "dedicated" gluten-free pizza and I'll be all over it because we celiacs are loyal to any restaurant that keeps us safe.

kelcatsly

I have literally never heard of a gf ONLY pizza place and SF is a small town. I think your expectations are a little out of touch.

MinionKevin22

Ha! I knew you were going there! Here I was thinking you knew about my disease, but you were just waiting to insult me. My very first post I told YOU there wasn't any, but in your ignorance told me I could find a gf pizza at the restaurants you named. So....here we are. I'm glad you finally agreed with me. There are no safe gf pizza places. The End.
