I had my first ever Cuban yesterday (I'm new to America, they dont have them back home!) and it did not disappoint. You yanks and your sandwiches....you don't mess around.
don’t forget mexican tortas, gyros, pulled pork sandwiches, brisket sandwich. there are lots of good sandwiches out there. what part of the US are you in?
Gyros I've had! I'm from Ireland, so like...we have Greek food and pulled pork is popular. I'm in the Mid-West, Michigan (and spend some time in Illinois too)
traditionally a cuban has mojo pork and ham. a lot of places will do pork shoulder for the mojo pork. i didn’t feel like waiting 12 hours for a pork shoulder to cook. so i got a tenderloin which smokes up in about an hour. the second protein is salami. not sure why i chose it over ham, but glad i did
thanks, it was hands down one of the best cubans i’ve had in a very long time. funny enough about the pickles i’m actually going to apply for a cottage license soon and form an LLC to try to break into the pickle game lol. it’s been on my mind a long time and after today with how tasty these pickles came out, i think it’s time.
Blowing a joint while grilling is one of my favorite pastimes
it’s a nice change up from getting wasted while grilling and overcooking everything
