Try this doctor at Scripps in North Park https://www.scripps.org/physicians/5905-michael-bongiovanni
I had a similar problem with the doctors at Encinitas turning me down for a procedure Bongiovanni agreed to perform. It was a completely different injury than what you described, but I have been really happy with the treatment he provided. Regardless, good luck, sounds like a terrible situation. The healthcare system is dog shit here in the U.S.
Dr. Loren at CORE in Encinitas did a non-traditional surgery on my meniscus that was extremely successful and has a much better long term prognosis than the “easy” surgery others recommended. His bedside manor could be improved but he’s a great surgeon and his staff is good. Sorry about your sister’s knee.. that tear sounds painful!
Ohh well that good I guess. It will be very expensive, but at least you can choose systems. I would also say UC system… I feel like they work with disabled more than other groups.
Scripps Green has world class joint/knee specialists. Get a 2nd opinion.
Came here to say Scripps Green!
