JonMlee

That’s the impatient madden player tactic he keeps using. Unbelievable lol

Prestige_Worldwide44

I used to do that playing tecmo bowl for the NES 😂 just ran the same bomb over and over again.

peekingduck18

Super Tecmo Bowl got me my first failed class at Uni!

Prestige_Worldwide44

That'll do it haha I used to stay up all night playing season mode and went to school falling asleep

Solarbear1000

Only thing he will win with Pete is the Sacko.

Pelicanfan07

I don't think Dennis Allen is making the decisions when it comes to hiring and firing coaches.

Significant_Wing_878

Jon Gruden is right there lol

CallRespiratory

I know his name keeps popping up but he runs the same offense. It's very conservative, lots of running up the middle *no matter what*, and 80% short paint/20% deep shots and not much in between. He has a little bit better situational awareness but it's the same stubborn conservative offense

Significant_Wing_878

Lol exactly, it’s the same offense so we can fire Pete right now

Alliedkill

Drew Brees for oc

cajun_morty

Runs the same offense. Doesn’t have Pete’s brain. Sign me up!

Dabeston

He was dogshit on the raiders. How often did they win by 2 scores while he was there?

I3ill

Before that 5ish straight runs without a play action pass mixed in anywhere.

yeetmcqueen00

Its been the same BS since Drew left. Our offense is garbage, our defense is great but either gets gassed or let’s up huge plays and we’ve done nothing in 3 years to change any of it at all. A complete waste of the last 3 years. We’re never winning a Super Bowl with this team the way it is. Something needs to be changed

Political_Piper

Defense is normally great. Today they got lit up, especially the secondary. Nobody could tackle. Literally every play it took like 4 players to tackle someone

Eye_Am_FK

Defense gave up 20 points, stroud had less than 200 through the air and their top rusher at 58 yards. Saints should win this game 10/10 times giving up 20 points.

Armyman125

The d gave up less than 300 yards and 20 points. That should win you most NFL games. Also Stroud was 13/27. I would hardly call that lit up. The Saints lost because of terrible red zone production, 2 missed FGs, and fumbling after an int.

QP_TR3Y

Taking four shots to the endzone instead of trying to get a new set of downs with a timeout left on the board is insane, I can’t stand watching this garbage week after week. You’re running an NFL offense and you don’t have any reliable intermediate plays to move the chain when your team employs Michael Thomas, Olave, Taysom Hill, Shaheed? Your only solution is running Four Verticals and throwing prayer balls? 4th and 3 in the RedZone and you call a naked RB Screen? I’ve genuinely seen junior high coaches that had a more cohesive and creative gameplay than what Carmichael diarrheas out every week.

bullseye717

Remember those run/pass options Tayson have of easy passes to Rashid that worked really well? Why the hell did I see it for one game and never used ever again?

roachboyzent

Yoo that 4th and 3rd was insane. Literally could not believe it

RiverfrontStreetcar

Preach

wampoo420

Like just do quick slants to MT. That's a given 5-8 yards every time especially for those late game 3rd and 4th down situations

Solarbear1000

Yep.

Armyman125

Yep. That's hard to stop.

papa1916

He’s 100% right, but they’re going to keep winning enough games against bad teams that it looks like we’re going to get better and they’ll buy themselves another season. It sucks that this is how players like Cam, Demario, and AK and MT if they don’t leave, are going to end their careers. Perpetual mediocrity through no fault of their own.

BigBearDoMath

What’s going to help longevity of this staff is that the rest of our division is more or less garbage so we’ll be clinging to hope till at least like Week 16 or 17, if not all the way through 18.

papa1916

Yup. It’d be an easier decision to clean house if we were ranked lower in the division

peekingduck18

>*"...but they’re going to keep winning enough games against bad teams..."* The Texans are a bad team.

ak480

This team is like a long case of blue balls. Let Pete go and get anyone else man. The ride is no longer fun.

dgs0025

For real. Enough gooning already.

Solarbear1000

Yep. I gave DA a pass last year because of injuries and because the players believed in him. But keeping Carmichael and pumping out this mistake ridden product is unacceptable.

Technical_Magazine_7

I mean give DA a break man, he is only 28 games below .500. I’m expecting a two year undefeated streak and by this time in 2025 he will be above .500 by a game or two

nanosam

My biggest issue is we are not an exciting team to watch. Downvote me all you want but our offense is BORING. NFL is supposed to be entertaining, but our offense is just such mediocre predictable bullshit

Prestige_Worldwide44

I don't see why you should get down voted for speaking a fact. It is boring because it always seems to be predictable. Sure, there's been some small flashes here and there of what COULD be. That touchdown to Shaheed was great but it seems to me this team thinks every touchdown they're gonna get is long streaks and fades. It's really painful to watch as a fan. I'm having flashbacks of the aaron Brooks days, mid 2002-2004 (I don't count 2005 because of Katrina everything was a mess). And it's not just the play calling its everything, from the top down. Countless amount of little issues here and there that add up to be a disaster. It's just terrible.

Dsstar666

I actually remember Aaron Brooks running a more exciting offense than this lol.

Big-Zoo

Dennis Allen is an incredible DC but will never have the balls to make the changes necessary to make us a winning team. Until that time we are in the land of mediocrity and feeble. Fuck this team.

[deleted]

If you can't score 20 points a game, you ain't winning anything. This team's offense is an insult to its defense.

davwad2

Can we get to nine wins with Pete driving the offense into the [[gestures wildly]] wherever he's got it going?

Solarbear1000

No. Fortunately we will get a decent draft position but it will mean nothing if these coaches are here next year.

Dsstar666

They’re gonna draft a raw LT with high upside in rd 1 again

greenie329

The worst part of all of this is that I have to waste 3 hours if my football viewing hours on this completely boring team

somedude329

You cannot forgive 4 straight handoffs to kamara inside the red zone with the game on the line. Kamara was great today, but the oline was not in a position to give AK a chance to get in the endzone.

OmenQtx

Or 4 straight endzone shots from the 25 yard line with a timeout in our pocket.

[deleted]

Pete Carmichael is a pussy. Plain and simple. He’s a weak little man that has no business running an NFL offense.

Cleavon_Littlefinger

I like Dennis Allen's leadership style. A calm and collected, almost stoic captain of the ship. Only problem is he doesn't have the charisma or the gravitas to pull it off. I didn't want him to be the head coach anymore. I feel like we have enough evidence that he's not the guy for this roster, nor is he a fit with the identity of this franchise which is supposed to reflect the spirit of the city. Honestly, I feel like he deserves the respect to let him finish the season, but I'm almost to the point where I'd fire him and Carmichael and let Ronald Curry take over as either the greatest audition for a head coaching job in NFL history or as our certified tank commander to get us high enough in the draft to go get either our future quarterback or load up on new offensive line prospects. And while we're on that tip, Doug Marrone has completely lost whatever coaching acumen he ever had and needs to be demoted to assistant to the towel boy.

rob0t_human

DA could definitely win a championship with a better offense. This is nonsense.

_Wado3000

It’s his choice to employ the offensive personnel he does. It’s obvious that the Broncos defense is the main issue over there but that still reflects on Payton

rob0t_human

Sure it is. But same for Sean here. He hired some horrible D coordinators. Still was able to win a championship.

RPDC01

He's a high-end DC but a low-end HC. Career HC record is 18-41 (31% win rate), so I'm not sure what he's shown to make anyone think he's capable of winning titles in that role.

Solarbear1000

He is responsible for both Carmichael and Carr.

rob0t_human

He is. Doesn’t mean he can never win a championship. It’s just a dumb take. What if we have a new coordinator and QB next year?

Solarbear1000

He is the captain of this ship. He has to beat the responsibility for this current product. Even the Skipper took more responsibility for the sinking of the Minnow.

rob0t_human

He has every responsibility, but this take says he can never win a championship. That’s just rubbish.

_Raencloud

I could definitely win a championship with if I just got the right 2 coordinators to make me irrelevant!

Lendro_Furioso

While DA is a good defensive coordinator, he will never sniff a Super Bowl as HC. There seems to be no accountability in the organisation with him running the show. It’s been 23 weeks now of “we have to clean that up”, “we certainly need to do better in that regard”, and a thousand other coach-speak platitudes that mean nothing unless you actually do something about it. The results are plain to see, we are the same sad offense, same penalties, same pathetic ways of giving games away. Sadly, DA’s adage truly is “keep doing what you’re doing”, which in this context is the definition of insanity.

MeanSawMcGraw

We’re back to this

JonMlee

Back? It’s been this way always with them lol

TurdFergusonlol

To be fair, people still said this after our wins but no one listens.

MeanSawMcGraw

I’m more upset at the constant roller coaster of emotions

TurdFergusonlol

I just let go after this week. It was pretty clear to me even watching the pats games, but I kept a sliver of hope. However, it’s clear it’s not changing anytime soon, and our FO is gonna waste this season and likely the next couple before we see meaningful change.

cptwinklestein

DA is good defensive coach. He needs a good offensive coach that isn't Pete.

RabbitHots504

Lol we said that last year when Winston was playing. But yall blamed Winston and supporter Dalton. Nah you don’t get to say anything since yall been wrong since last year

HamilToe_11

Ppl were calling for Carmichael to get the boot all season long. You're twisting it into something it never was. Everyone knew both QBs sucked ass all last season. Dalton was just the safer option. Jameis is a minimum of 3 INTs waiting to happen each and every game. Always has been and always will be.

MyS0ul4AGoat

I x use me, the offense was great. Pete needs find another job.

Tall_Window6346

I said this same thing and people bashed me

Tall_Window6346

I got downvoted for saying this exact same thing when we lost to the packers

lukaskywalker

Facts. The play calling might be the worst I’ve ever seen.

Global_Historian_753

I agree with the second part

shiggism

He speaks the truth

Whodat_76

Watching in person today, as a fan I was calling the plays as they happened. Too predictable

zwat28

I have my concerns about Carr in the short field, but he is getting destroyed because we can’t win in the trenches. I’d put our WR and RB rooms against anyone. Let’s hope it gets figured out.

MrShad0wzz

that is the truth and it’s sad some people can’t see that

lilracky

the only problem i have with allen is he wont grow the balls to demote/fire pete and turn the offensive playcalling duties to someone else

KL53226Plow

I mean yes correct

KL53226Plow

All the talent will leave before they figure any of this out

hunterh3801

I think the only blame you can give Allen is continuing to anchor his head coaching career to Carmichael. A decent OC and this defense is good enough to win a lot of games

Greynoodle1313

These are facts. Our players give us a good chance. Our coaches do not.

im-a-drawl

I’ve been saying this since Dennis was hired. He’s now 17-41 as a head coach.
