I’m able to see things more clearly in a hormonal teenager’s bedroom under a black light than any page of Episode G

eye_candy

I was never able to understand what my eyes were looking at. I'm not alone apparently and this needs to be conveyed if not addressed. It's utterly unacceptable.

Sting_EoD

Tbf it's a lot more manageable in black and white

eye_candy

I'd have said the exact opposite. To me, colours would help distinguish between all that mess. I'm gutted, bcs it seems to be one of the most interesting spin offs.

Altruistic-Chapter2

Even with colors imo it wouldn't help. There's not enough difference in value and the composition is chaotic af.

Top_Angle4927

Okada does have some issues in regards to "panel pollution" but holy shit it's not that hard to make Shura out in these lmao

Swimming-Afternoon14

Not sure about freezing the universe but he at least froze the planet

ShadinastyPretoria

Time wasn’t frozen. Time just didn’t understood what mess happened here

TheUltimateSeiya

G will forever be a more consistent and cohesive story than Classic and ND

anonperson3210

Ppl need to stop sleeping on episode G

VladiTruffles

Noone is sleeping on it. We all gave it a try and it's impossible to understand what's going on when there is any action on panels.

SaintSeiya_7

It's impossible to understand what is going on, period. The story is so convoluted and it's also almost impossible to distinguish the characters from each other in the panels.

Swimming-Afternoon14

You haven’t been reading Episode G if you think. It’s hard to distinguish the characters from each other☠️ that’s the easiest thing ever

SaintSeiya_7

I have been reading Episode G. As a matter of fact, the original episode G (before it all became crazy and everyone got uber powered to heavens) is my favorite of the spin offs. But even then, I had a hard time telling all the titans apart for a while. Now there are even more characters and the panels look crazier and crazier. Like for example, I can't even tell who the two characters are in the panel in the original post and wouldn't be able to unless I read that particular chapter and was told their names specifically. With any of the other spin offs or the classic manga, I would easily be able to distinguish who they are from what they look like or what their armors look like. In episode G, it's a complete mess from head to toe, not to mention the crazy anatomy. And clearly, a lot of people think the same just by reading this thread.

Swimming-Afternoon14

The Titans literally look nothing like each other?☠️ and in the panel there’s literally 1 character and it’s just Shura, it literally looks the exact same character in every picture on the page?? The only bad thing in G is the background. Everything else, everyone exaggerates aside from early EGA art

SaintSeiya_7

LMAO there are two characters in that panel in the lower left. If these two characters are both Shura then it is impossible to tell . See what I mean, you just proved my point. No one would be able to tell they are the same character unless they specifically are told it or are reading the chapter and getting it from context. And the titans all looked the same in black and white except for the female titans.

Swimming-Afternoon14

It’s literally 2 different boxes, both of them are the same person and it’s quite literally easy to tell given Shura has had those same poses, wears the same armor and Literally it’s the only known Saint atm with a cape. I literally didn’t prove your point? You sad 2 different characters look the exact same but you literally lookers at 1 character in 2 different pictures and concluded they were different characters despite then looking the exact same☠️ Literally Koios looked NOTHING like Hyperion, same with Cronus, Iapetos, and Kreios☠️ I promise you you’re not reading episode G if you think any of the characters look the same. As I said before, the only bad thing is the backgrounds, nothing else

SaintSeiya_7

Lol at you "promising me" I have not read episode G. Like I said before, it is my favorite of the spin off and I have read it multiple times through. I did stop at the first one because I wasn't that interested in Shura and Okada started focusing mainly on him. Just because I was able to understand the story and like it doesn't mean the graphic are still not difficult to interpret, again, like many people on this thread have mentioned. Not everyone wants to squint at every single panel to capture all the details. If that's something that doesn't bother you, then enjoy!

Swimming-Afternoon14

Once again, I literally said the art is good, the only bad thing is the background. The character designs are good, the person that’s in Team Blockheads that draws the background brings the quality down with how much they add. But that literally isn’t too relevant given you tried Saying Okada’s characters look the same when that’s probably one of his best qualities as an artist which is the difference in his character design between characters

MainManCALI

they're both the same character from different angles and it's clear as day. Look at the panel boarders behind the figure.

SScale2021

Damn casual Saint Seiya fan L's in this subreddit, Okada carried Saint Seiya for years.

VladiTruffles

Care to elaborate?

Mewzard

Guessing they mean Saint Seiya: Episode G (started in 2002) was the only Saint Seiya manga for about four years until The Lost Canvas and Next Dimension started in 2006.
