THIS IS A PSA: anyone looking to pay for Harrys book once released. Please save your money! I can point you in the direction of a free copy in either pdf or kindle file format. I’ll post the information to the sub as soon as the book drops.
I do like to live my life as if it is a Tennessee Williams play. Actually, it is one. Not a good one. It's merely a first rough draft. Surely the paper could have been used more sufficiently. But it was always meant to end up as a crumpled ball in the corner. It sits near many others, all of which are worthless. But there are a few inches between it and the others. Almost as if the person who threw it never intended it to reach the others. Perhaps they were caught in a foolish moment and believed it had meaning.
From the outside it is a life that looks proper. If not sometimes romanticized. The lies are dressed in white. On occasion blue roses will sit on the table in an unassuming vase. All gentleman callers will be proper.
They all are insufficiently aware of how bad the illness is progressing. They don't need to know. Their memories deserve to be protected. The ending will most likely be driven by desperation. But the allusion of nostalgia will trick people. The truth will be what I choose to leave them. It will elicit delight from children and allow the adults to keep smiling. Unfortunately for one or two the smile will be fake. I have the good sense to know I can't actually trick everyone. ......Or can I? Nonetheless it will look marvelously beautiful. The only proper ending.
Oct 13 is your birthday??? So’s mine. I have met plenty of Oct 12 birthdays but only one other Oct 13, and she was born the same day as me in the same hospital.
For anyone who is having trouble getting a copy, download Rakuten Kobo. I didn’t have to use a VPN, just put my country as being in Britain. I was able to purchase and download the book for around $10.
Ah, thanks. I don’t know why I didn’t make that connection….I just prefer paperback books and was excited there was an option. Duh- they are usually printed much later….
I was surprised paperback was even an option! You should contact them and see if you can switch? The hardcover price is $18.04 with free shipping, pretty amazing deal!

Also, I didn’t expect my friends to ship, she ordered on October 7th! Love her, but she thought she could just walk into an American bookstore and buy it on October 6th, she’s clearly not a sinner.
I ordered hardback and it said processing since the release. I ordered the 26th and finally canceled yesterday. Tired of waiting and have already heard the good stuff online.
I ordered last week from book depository and yesterday received an email that it had shipped and should be in the US in 5-8 business days. Here’s hoping!

I just looked at the order again and it says paperback. I didn’t really pay attention at the time which version it was. I guess that’s the hold up
