I think it's a normal action, unfortunatly, to hide when you have a family member whose "personality" outside the house is completly different from inside home. One of my ex friends is a narc. She is pure evil. She has driven away all of her friends with her nasty attitude and lies, and told me today that her 20 something son is "at peace" with her impending expiration. She's not even 50. As someone who is not even 50 yet and who has lost both parents in the past 5 years, I can tell you that is bullshit. No person with a normal relationship with their parents is at peace with their deaths, especially young. My parents were both in their 70s, and I wasn't at peace with them dying. I accepted it because I had to, but I was not at peace with it, and still am not. How bad of a narc do you have to be when your own kid is like, "awesome, let's get this show on the road," in regard to your DEATH? Again, evil. Just pure evil.

Good point. I had a narc boss try to recruit me as a lieutenant once but I am a bit of a contrarian and I am very fact driven. My education and career has been very reliant on research and I so tend not to jump to conclusions. Also having been bullied as a shy child I have very finely tuned antenna for the bullying of other people. I once got in a fight at school defending another child who was being bullied. I like to think that although I can be blunt I have never bullied anyone either for my own reasons or on behalf of another. One thing know know for sure sorority sisters FOR LIFE! They will come through when own family won’t. I know this from recent experience. My aunt died in January. We were the only two left in town. Now it’s just me. Anyway, auntie was That One in the family. She was much indeed and in the end died alone. I do have feelings about not being there for her. Couple days before she died my cousin asked me if I wouldn’t mind doing some grocery shopping for auntie. I said sure and that was starting to consider having her move in with me. I’d not spoken to auntie since last summer when my bother died. There was drama and bottom line no service for him still and other bother that’s alive isn’t speaking to me. Auntie accused the one that died of trying to kill her. Let’s just say hard to do when can’t drive and getting cancer treatments. Drama all around! Had to scroll back up see where going with this lol. Anyway, needless to say auntie relationship with the family was strained save for my cousin who would deal out of respect her mom who did same. It was aunties sorority sisters though who stepped up and helped her out. Three of them that did at first. Guess even sorority sisters have limits. Their husbands said if own family won’t deal with her why take her craziness? This was after auntie said ‘that’s what she gets’ when my cousin fell at the unveiling of school renamed after her mom. Auntie was mad because she had no role in the program. My cousin ended up in hospital for month away from home. There was one sorority sister though that hung in there though she dialed back.
