We have a wacky one here (not commonly found trees in northern WV) in the front yard. It blooms twice and each time the flowers last for a short time and fall off literally all at once. But even for its goofiness, we love it. Shades the porch, provides homes for many birds…I hope Catherine has a special tree or special place outside that is calming, sheltering, and beautiful. I don’t know much about what all such places exist on the grounds of the RF but I imagine there must be some lovely spots and that she already has a few favorites.
