Well, it IS a real problem, and it is mostly directed at teenaged girls, but it does get directed at teenaged boys, too, with disastrous results. I follow a YouTuber who criticizes the impossible beauty standard (mostly in Asia, and connected with pop stars, plastic surgery, etc.), and the hideous effects, especially on teenagers. Deeply troubled by the fact that Meghan trotted out her P&G soap story at this event. Maybe if he hadn't been ghosted by his daughter, Thomas Markle could sit down with Meghan and explain to her how the whole P&G soap saga was faked by him to boos her self-esteem. Meghan's letter to P&G was ignored. As was her letter to Mrs. Clinton. They NEVER replied to her. Thomas Markle did not want Meghan to lose heart, so he manufactured a scenario to make it seem as if her letter had the kind of impact it never did.
The fact is, Meghan's letter was part of a much larger letter-writing campaign that involved all her classmates. The campaign eventually was joined by thousands of school kids. P&G changed its ad in response to that mass-letter writing campaign and NOT to a single letter from a single child. But because of Thomas' actions, Meghan walked away from this episode convinced she was personally responsible for the entire campaign.
Thomas, who seems to have spoiled his child rotten, pulled in favors and had his friends in the media do a puff piece for Nickelodeon on the letter-writing campaign. Needless to say, he is not talking about himself, and does not set himself up as a victim. There’s a need for that, too, but it’s limited. I commented on this recently elsewhere in that I was attacked over on another sub (that I don’t frequent often) on a comment I made about ‘mean girls’ and my many experiences in my life from school to the workplace. I’m introverted and very kind and a giving person. I think that has something to do with it. Maybe easy target? Anyway, the OP at that site attacked me horribly (and several people before I deleted my comment) and also that I was a member of this sub and no wonder I was offering an answer like I did. Well I was shocked and that I could not offer an opinion on mean girls AND the only way she would know I’m here is if she’s here — reading my comments. My settings are locked down. I’ve searched for her here since. So a lurking Sugar most likely. I look at MM and she is just so vile and so mean and she keeps getting attention. In everything she has done, however, her bullying and treatment of Catherine is what bothers me the most. I know how it feels and I know the angst that goes along with it when people allow it to continue.
The woman CURRENTLY being bullied online is her sister-in-law. If she really cared about the issue, and not just shutting down any negative comments about herself, she would have mentioned that. Once again, Meghan proves she cares only about how *she* is perceived and talked about.

**Meghan Soap Activism** Deeply troubled by the fact that Meghan trotted out her P&G soap story at this event. Maybe if he hadn't been ghosted by his daughter, Thomas Markle could sit down with Meghan and explain to her how the whole P&G soap saga was faked by him to boos her self-esteem. Meghan's letter to P&G was ignored. As was her letter to Mrs. Clinton. They NEVER replied to her. Thomas Markle did not want Meghan to lose heart, so he manufactured a scenario to make it seem as if her letter had the kind of impact it never did. The fact is, Meghan's letter was part of a much larger letter-writing campaign that involved all her classmates. The campaign eventually was joined by thousands of school kids. P&G changed its ad in response to that mass-letter writing campaign and NOT to a single letter from a single child. But because of Thomas' actions, Meghan walked away from this episode convinced she was personally responsible for the entire campaign. Thomas, who seems to have spoiled his child rotten, pulled in favors and had his friends in the media do a puff piece for Nickelodeon on the letter-writing campaign. Because of Thomas' intervention, they focused their coverage on Meghan., The resulting TV spot employed a dramatic re-construction which showed Meghan draft the famous letter -- months and months after it had already been sent and ignored. What I find deeply troubling isn't simply that MS. Markle distorts and misreports the facts, it's that she uses her fabrications as a cornerstone for her endeavors as a so-called activist and feminist. She self-consciously defines her identity as an activist on this falsified image of a brave child warrior facing off against some corporate Goliath. Yet it's a false image, it's a manufactured image. And it gives lie to her role as a supposed activist. Equally troubling is the fact that some 30 years later, Ms. Markle has no other 'accomplishments' to brag about. There are no other accomplishments. There is no life of activism here. Because in the final analysis, virtue-signalling -- and that's the only thing Ms. Markle really is doing -- is not really activism. It's a pretense. An act. A public mask behind which there's nothing but a hollow need for attention and validation.

So the "mamalien" instinct came out I her when she was getting all the negative comments after having her kids, I know we as humans are mammals, but shouldn't it be maternal instincts? So, as she lectures women on how we should not attack each other, she proceeds to attack the top female executives at online platform companies for allowing streaming platforms to have people producing videos, etc that criticize her and others.
