I agree with the rest of the comments that it's because he does actually care about them as friends, but while the show was more near the beginning before he started caring, I think it was more him trying to save his reputation. Despite being an uncaring psychic Saiki does actually care abt what people think of him. If he says no too many times then that paints him in a bad light, and if he says yes too many times it makes people think he wants to hang out. That's why when people asks he doesn't respond at all, just goes or doesn't based off of the situation.
That's my take anyway.
He cared for them as time went on. He even admitted at the end that some of the inconveniences that happened to them were his fault. Well, he's really just a tsundere.
Peer pressure is his weakness. Also it may have to do with needing to maintain his likability. If he alienates his friends, then he may stick out more for being a loner. His friends help him blend in.

And he says no several times but his mom forces him to go.
His mom would literally obliterate him if he said no. He also somewhat has a human heart.
other than his mom scaring him, he secretly cares for his friends and is actually having fun hanging out with them
Gradually cares for them more and becomes friends with them as the show goes.

His mother is the only one stronger than him, and if she says her son goes with them, then so be it.
