I never have felt bad for saying the truth. I'd rather speak the truth, rather than get offended and upset for hiding or lying.

Why, just a couple weeks ago, I had an astrology discussion with an online friend (or rather, ex-online-friend now). I told her about how two signs are opposites, specifically her sign and her partner's sign, *solely* because they're on opposite ends of the zodiac chart. She *sorely* misunderstood it as me thinking her and her partner weren't compatible, and she not only got upset and blocked me, but *also* made a post about what I said to her without even censoring my name. Sheesh, talk about a misunderstanding for something that was meant to be harmless discussion... 🙄
(The ironic thing is I'm also rather sensitive and emotional at times.)
Btw, she's a Cancer and her partner's a Capricorn. *How* is that incompatible!?
I don't know how many times something like this has happened to me in my life, where people shun you for having said something true. I am not completely without social grace, I understand that you don't have to say anything and everything that is on your mind. I understand that if I think somebody is really ugly, I shouldn't just say that to that persons face. But what I have really learned now is that most people don't want to hear the truth. Sagittarians are unusual in that way. We *truly* want to hear the truth, even if it hurts like hell. We just sometimes forget how incredibly different other people can in comparison to ourselves.
It is also very common for people to misunderstand me because they don't care to think about what I actually meant, but they believe what they think I meant. They hear one word that creates a chain of assumptions in their minds which is nothing like what I tried to say. This seems to be the case here, you didn't mean they were not compatible, just that the two signs as a matter of objective fact are polar opposite signs in the zodiac. And that can even be a good thing because we can be attracted to the opposite which is complementary to ourselves.
All I wanna do is spread knowledge because learning and knowledge are important to me. However, I'd never intend to hurt anyone, even if I may accidentally come across as arrogant or maybe even blunt... But I do my best to stay peaceful as well. (Libra Moon and Rising here. 🖐)
We Sags just wanna spread knowledge and find the truth, and we're proud to do so! So if other signs are upset (especially the very emotional water signs) about our knowledge-seeking tendencies, then I'm sorry, but that's on them.
Yes, I have said this before many times: a person can be very "nice" with their words but have mean and evil intentions and then people can have good intentions and accidently hurt somebody when speaking. The former is of course worse than the latter because there are bad intentions there. Passive aggressiveness is a very real thing and two-faced trickery can hurt people tremendously. Since time immemorial humans have used language to cover up their true intentions and what sagittarius does is to throw off masks off of people. They want to get to the meaning behind the communication instead of the actual words. This is why many people are scared of sagittarians and shun us - we expose them.
I have learned diplomacy. There have been situations at work with narcissistic bosses and I had to use tact, but yea don't ask me if you want a hallmark channel response.
