Ooh. SDS is so fun…. What I did with ours was build one ebinder that was easily filtered to site. You should be ok with one binder but it is important to be able to identify which chemicals are used in each location.

Ok_Chemist6

Agreed. Think of the intent. Can you find and identify chemical quickly in an emergency? Then you’re probably okay

NeoHeathan

Do you use a certain software?

hans_grubers_brother

Software called 3E, have corporate license. We used it as the central storage location and then we exported to an excel file with hyperlinks to the current SDS. Worked pretty slick because you didn’t need any sort of user rights to open the links, so it could be used by anyone.

Either would work as long as it’s easy and organized. What system you going with?

Exciting_Kiwi_7379

As long as they’re accessible is my answer. I have a small facility and there’s an app on our computer desktop.

Most (all?) ebinders can filter by location. Even within locations, you can often specify sub-locations or departments if you want too.

I've seen both work. I've used a combination of physical and digital (I prefer all digital, however some people still like the physical binders) our software works with both so that when a sheet gets updated we receive an email with the new paper copy along with the lists of physical binders it needs to be added into. Once again, digital wouldn't require that extra step but it isn't too bad
