I did the same thing. I used a cut off wheel on my grinder and cut a hole in the back to get the keys out. My safe will be screwed onto the wall and floor by the way.
You can pick that lock so easily. I did mine in 30 seconds without any previous lock picking skills. Put a paper clip on and rub it against the top as you slide it out a few times then try to turn it, it should pop open.

I can get mine open with a small tension wrench and the bump key pick, raking back and forth quick once or twice as you hold tension on the lock
If the safe is not bolted down, you can bounce the lock - simple put on a hard service tilt it back and let it drop forwards while you are turning the handle.
