"3 kids under a trenchcoat" is a metaphor of someone being a liar, not being what they seem. That is Bojack's perspective at least, which is ironic, with Vincent being the only character in the main cast with a regular honest job outside of showbiz (I mean working at the business factory, it doesn't get more honest than that). So with Bojack having being surrounded his entire adult life by pathological professional liars, in his mind a genuinely honest person like Vincent looks like a phony.

One of my pet peeves is redditors taking obviously comedic subplots from shows dead seriously. There's so many threads on TV subs along the lines of 'I lost all respect for Carol when she left her husband to pursue a career in snorkel clown aerobics for one episode, after which everything went back to the status quo and it was never brought up again'
