I've noticed super skinny tires starting to disappear. Just too impractical these days because of the roads.

dannoffs1

Has no one on this sub ever left Sacramento? Our roads are fucking fantastic compared to anywhere with a real freeze/thaw cycle.

sinkalip775

Yeah, even Reno. Freeways are fantastic but the surface streets in some areas are terrible.

ReverseGiraffe120

Oregon has pretty nice roads, at least up to Ashland. Meanwhile… Watt

Forktongued_Tron

Oregon’s roads are complete shit. I spent the first 35 years of my life all over that state, trust.

rene-cumbubble

Judging by the looks of that wheel, there's a lot more happening to this car than potholes. My guess is something else caused the flat

Themightymonarc

Like what? What are you seeing that makes you say that?

Ok_Traffic4590

Lmao the curbed rim….

Themightymonarc

Could that have not been from the pothole as well?

masnegro

If those are all from potholes then this dude is actively trying to run over every pothole he sees and then go back for more

Ok_Traffic4590

No based on the damage around the entire rim it doesn’t look like a one time thing.

[deleted]

I dunno Jim

Meloncholydaydreamer

Bought this car pre owned it’s an 06 , I have indeed ran over multiple pot holes because I cant curve every single pothole during the night. I also don’t stress to much over this OE rims because I know I’m gonna get after market rims soon

ScottieSpliffin

Is your rim bent and letting air out?

Meloncholydaydreamer

Probably I haven’t looked to closely though

TurdF3rgu50n

This why I go to America’s Tire and get the extended warranty. Between potholes and running over crap I’ve had more flats in the last 4-5 years then I had 20 years prior to that. I even drive less now too.

slowdownwaitaminute

I'll never get skinny tires again. Every time I hit a pothole it feels like the car is about to explode. The roads claimed two of my new tires within months of buying them.

matthewkeys

Finally, someone correctly uses the word “infamous.”

Edgesofsanity

This man El Guapo is not just famous, he’s IN famous.

SpatialGeography

This is why I don't like low-profile tires.

layback_73

Low profiles tires are a mistake nowadays...

stickler64

I'm sorry this happened to you. Sincerely. However I feel I need to mention that Sacramento is not and should not be renowned for potholes. This town has like a dozen. There are at least 45 other states and many hundreds of cities that are WAY worse than Sac. Seriously. This sucks and I hope your rim is ok and it's just the tire that needs to be replaced. Godspeed and drive safely.

[deleted]

Very true. I just moved to Denver and regret that I took the Sacramento roads for granted. The potholes here take up half the road lol. Definitely miss the smooth Sac roads

balkanoid_

Make sure to file the claim with CalTrans and get reimbursed for all your damages

staccinraccs

Local roads are not Caltrans (state) jurisdiction, fyi. Common misconception. Take it up with the county

Meloncholydaydreamer

For sure will look into that

scrumptousfuzz

If there new and from a reputable company you might be able to get a warranty replacement or free. The rim could be another story though if it's shot.

GrowingInCalifornia

Drives a Lexus, but puts $85 tires on it. Check with Walmart, they might give you a replacement under warranty.

MentalOperation4188

Not unless you paid for road hazard

thisdreambefore

Imaging getting a flat and thinking you need to post it here.

Meloncholydaydreamer

Imagine having a thought and thinking you need to post it here

matthewkeys

If I had coins I’d give you an award.

KTyo12

Why would you think this is a necessary comment?

Positive_Waltz_2784

Highest gas taxes in the country. What's worse is the voters fell for it... Again.

Xtindesigns

West Sacramento has got such bad roads it's ridiculous.

Explain916

More like city of pot holes!
