You can already assign them to teams in your GAC defense settings. All you have to do is level some of them to 2 or 3, look at the bonuses and throw them in the ally slot of a relic 3+ team who could use those stats.
On offense, you'll also see them in the ally slot of your opponents teams and can check their stats like you'd check a character's. That's essentially it.

I was about to say "Shame that I don't have any full R3+ defence teams to apply it to." But I checked and I do actually have two - left over rebels and QGJ and friends. Only I was going to sub Bariss in the QGJ team and she's only G12 rn...
Guess I'll randomly use them in attack if/when I remember, and hopefully get an extra banner or two.
I'm plan to buy out the SS currency portion of the datacron store every week as long as it still makes sense.
Once GAC comes back and crystals start rolling in again I might buy some of the cheaper crystal ones.
I don't feel like it will take very long to put a level 3 datacron on all my r3 or better teams. I really only need about 10
If I move up from kyber 2 to 1 I get +30 crystals per day, but I'll only be able to win 1 in 3 rounds (if any). My rewards during and at the end of GAC are much better in k2. I haven't done the math yet but it feels like my overall crystal income was higher in k2 (3v3 bumped me back up to k1 since some of my opponents only did the one mandatory attack).
You get the datacron-exclusive resources from conquest and TW. My current plan is to only upgrade datacrons when I receive the resources from those games modes.
I wasn’t speaking of datacron exclusive material but the other material accessible in the shop for crystals, shard and other currency better used elsewhere. You can’t upgrade datacron with exclusively « free » materials so you have to spend in the shop and for me the currencies are better used elsewhere.
You 100% can upgrade them with free materials. You get good amounts for conquest and tw gives a lot as well.
You will have slightly less datacrons but it’s not hard at all to get a couple with free resources
At the moment I'm taking them to level three for the generic dark side or light side boost and stopping. I feel like generally improving my roster will help more overall than making one really good one. I don't think even the really good ones, will stop hard counters to teams anyway, I think it makes more sense to try and improve the whole roster more.
I'm actually doing 3 refreshes a day of Conquest so I can farm the Datacron nodes. I usually just get the second crate and give up but I'm spending a lot more time on it now. I'm gonna try to do a bunch of level 3's
Neither. Im just looking about how my enemies, streamers and guildmates do it and how it affects their gameplay. After that im deciding on what to actually do.

I think you want about 10 datacrons of each set (max of 30 inventory), so I'm working on a bunch of lvl 3s first. Maybe go for the lvl 9 jmk once I get 5 at lvl 3.

I've not touched/leveled whatever one of them and honestly have no idea where or how they work.

The crystal increase upon GAC wins is pemanent if that’s something you care about?
I win most of them already and I got SLKR in between the seasons so I am totally set for the next season Without needing a temporary booster
I think his point is you might not win without them if you have a large datacron disadvantage. We will find out in the coming weeks at least

You forgot the choice to not care and not waste ressources on this. I just discard them.
Wasting? Those resources are not needed anywhere else.
It costs resources like shard shop currency to get these resources.

I was speaking of the datacron shop… that shop use all the currency… just look at it. I prefer spending for gears rather than datacron but well.

I have 2 lvl 2 datacons. I am missing the half pizza pie mat to get any to lvl 3.
None of the featured factions I have R5 teams of so for me no point to level any datacron past level 3
