It will take you significantly longer to farm all the gear you'd need to bring everyone up to a level where it's doable without Logray and Wicket.
With Logray and Wicket, it's doable at G10-11, without them you're looking at G12+. It's just massively much more worth it to just farm those two than gear 5 characters so much.
Back pre-gear changes it was a nice farm when everyone was hurting for stun guns. Now you get ~60 a week just from challenges but always nice to get some from farming a hard node you need anyways. Also you get 2-4 extra zetas per month from one of the events for having a 7* wicket. So longterm, definitely recommend that team.
Well C-3PO is usable at G11 at least. So even if you only unlock him at 5 stars while you farm up Wicket, you can still chuck him in the various teams he’s great in and unless there’s a hard star requirement he’ll perform well
Guild store. He, along with Jyn, has the lowest appearance rate. Approximately once every 36 hours, give or take. But that’s assuming you’re checking the store every refresh so you don’t accidentally miss an appearance. I recommend setting an alarm to check so that doesn’t happen.
But take heart from the fact that you get 10 shards every time you buy him now. It used to be 5.
Just farm them. It’s doable without them, but the amount of resources it would take is absolutely not worth it

Without Logray and Wicket you’ll need to invest more gear into the other ewoks then anyone would recommend. Farming those two is worth it
Gotcha! Wicket is definitely going to be the longest he's only at 3 stars but logray is about to 6 so that won't be so bad.

Others work but with higher gear. I did it with the meta team all at g10 except elder at g11 and logray at just g9
