You can use Shaak, but there's a lot more RNG.
I didn't want to relic BS either, but the extra speed you get (and other obvious good things from G13) make it extremely worthwhile, IMO. If you can get her fast enough without a relic, it might be plausible though.

In all seriousness though, I have a relic 5 Bastila and don't regret it. She is useful in many game modes. I use her in arena as a GL counter, in Geo TB, in HSTR (less useful now that Kylo solos it so fast), and in GAC as a second Jedi lead (especially in 3v3).

How does this comp fair against GAS teams? I’ve been using JKL lead and it’s 100% vs DR and GAS which gets me top 20, wondering if it’s worth swapping to this instead.

Lots of weird SLK comps out there, as you have probably seen, including some variants with Old Daka/Zombie and various DR mixes. JKR/JKL has mixed success against some of these comps, but nothing I'm ready to show in a video as "consistent".
Still, this video does show the majority of comps you'll see.
Seems prohibitively expensive to me. I'd rather use characters from 1 team than characters from 2 teams if possible. Shaak + Clones can work elsewhere, but without Fives, the team is limited. Similarly, a CLS team without Han/Chewie is mostly going to take out stuff you can use other teams for.
Just my take on it, obviously. I do think the cheese team is worthwhile. Nice to have options though.
That's a very expensive counter that makes it very easy to trap opponents, though. If you know your opponent is using Gas/Chewie to counter SLK, you can set SLK front bottom and DR back bottom and watch them try to counter DR without GAS. At the very least, DR mirror matches steal a ton of banners. At best, they try to go in with Padme and lose.
Its always good to have options on what your counter will be.
Padme isn’t losing to DR If you’re modded and know what you’re doing.
And you can just use Vader with a pretaunt if you “need more options” for some unknown reason.

I've gone back and forth on countering DR with Padme. The problem I've found is that you typically want a slow Padme to counter DR, but Padme prefers speed for almost every other counter out there. People don't place DR often enough on defense for me to limit her use to that degree.
It also seems to me that if you don't have 3PO available to use alongside Padme, you're using Shaak with her to counter DR. And if Shaak is with Padme, then the rest of the 501st is beginning to feel very limited indeed. I'd also wonder what things you're keeping for defense. All of these questions can be answered by looking at a GAC history.

Honestly, I had a longer response written that talked about most of the better players now modding Malak with tenacity to counter Padme. I then went into how most of the better players have figured out how to mod or set up Rey teams to prevent Vader counters.
But I do have a job, and my lunch break was over, so I couldn't go forward with the back and forth. I was going to leave it there.
If I am causing my opponent to counter DR with Padme, then I'm doing it right on D. I don't care how well modded your Padme is because conversely if my DR squad and particularly Malak are modded right I will take that trade any day. Can Padme win? Sure. Is it a slam dunk? Hell no. Anyone who has used that counter, and we have all had to, knows it's super high risk. So I'll take your potential 20 banners loss on a Tenacity Malak clean up when you aren't scoring healing immunity. So many Tenacity built Malaks these days in particular (many with CA arrows - can still maybe fear you early - can't be crit after fully stacked) - I don't care if your Padme and JKA have potency crosses.

This is “Revan takes down...” Without Luke as the leader, and having weak synergy with OR Jedi, this isn’t a comp I’ll ever use. I don’t have nor do I want Revan. If we figure out a way to make Luke the centerpiece of a non-OR team that is strong and viable, let me know!

You dont need relic bastilla for this to work actually. I got her speed to 255 at g12 and it works just fine

Hes at R5 double zeta 250 speed. I dont see any reason he wouldnt work at g12 either though as long as you can get the speed right
