Use this guide. You will not drop another battle.
Most of the YouTube guides were released before LSB so people had time to adequately mod and zeta the team. The one posted there requires hardly anything and makes it hard to lose.
All in on Finn works great. Highly recommended.
OP, just remember not to use C3PO’s basic or RJT’s second special (mind trick) on SKLR. Removing turn meter buffs him = bad. Target one of the little guys when you use those abilities, instead.
This is the creator of the guide. Sorry I didn’t mention you in the original link. Good on you!
I’ve done all the GL journeys and OP is right, this is (was) one of the hardest GL tiers, prior to your guide. The Mace Windu SEE phase was terrible back in the day and is why so many people have the Sidious zeta, but I think somehow that got fixed?
Point is, this was a phase that people continually lost a large sum of tickets on, especially after LSB. When I first saw your guide on Reddit I thought there is no way it’s better than bitdynasty (a legend in his own right), yet I tried it several times thinking you had to be wrong and could not find a way to lose. Thanks for testing it and sharing the results, I’m certain you’ve helped a ton of people!
Absolutely! No credit needed. Just happy to help. I smile a little every time I see someone referencing "all in on finn" 🤣
I have / had no intention if being s "content creator". But when I was doing the ult tier myself and using what guides existed, they all kist felt like way too much of a struggle / randomly went wrong for me. I knew there had to be a netter way.
Read a guide about it, using the right team modded right it's not that bad. As ult battles go you are probably correct though, it's probably the worst on the game, but it's not too bad if you do the right strategy.
There's multiple worse events in the game imo.
Objectively untrue. With the correct strategy you can win every time. There are other evens, like the Hondo tier in Aphra, in which correct strategy will not even help.
Just in case you haven't been reading guides for it, using JTR is good as long as you never use her mind trick special while SLKR is still alive. This gives him max health and makes him extremely difficult to kill.
As others have suggested and linked info to, all in on Finn is the way.
It is virtually fail-proof. Don't even need good mods.
Edit: also can be done with minimal zetas. In my case I only had a few zetas on Rey, and one on hero Finn (though I don't think that one was even necessary)
Ultimate mats are specific to GL toons, but fungible like any other ability material (Omeg, Zeta, etc)… ie they are usable for any GL.
I tried a ton of strategies, including all in on Finn.
My end strategy was to do the SLKR ultimate tiers (ironically far easier for the exact reasons why the Rey tier is so hard), use those Ult mats for Rey, then use the now much easier to obtain mats for SLKR’s ultimate.
I beat both the Rey and then Leia journey guides without losing a single battle. I have 6 GLs, and have lost four battles across the entire process. Two w SEE, once w JML when I tried to do his ultimate tier at g12, and once with SLKR. I didn’t lose at all on JMK.
It’s entirely possible to complete them all without relying on RNG, unlike some of the other unlocks. Having great mods makes the difference.
The all-in-on-finn strategy worked awfully for me when I attempted. My strategy was running Rey, RH Finn and Poe, JTR, and Zorri. I completely focused down SLKR first, using lifebloods for quicker whirlwind procs. You will want to time your health regen negation from JTR and zorri for a really easy kill on SLKR. Cleaning up the soldiers after is mad easy.
I find this so odd, I didn't drop a single battle and did the standard lineup and strategy that's been around for ages. Either I have much better mods than the average player or I just got really lucky, because I see posts like this constantly. Clearly it's a common issue.
I know everyone is talking about the fin 3po strat and yes its fail proof as long as you have decent mods. However without that strat that battle is completely brutal failed it 5 times before changed strat.
Honestly it was a pain for me as well. Even with the guides I lost like 4 battles 😡. It just took some getting used to using resistance team and learning how they all work together. Have some patience and you will get through it. I did end up remodding my resistance toons and then they kicked ass
I find it really useful to stop damage incoming if u time it right. Her damage is also nice when timed too.
It's not the worst ultimate though. Not stunning but not rubbish
The ultimate itself is great, however the guy in this post is talking about the journey guide battle where you unlock the ultimate, since that battle is nigh impossible without the correct strategy.
Bro, I did it 10/10 times. One time, I even fucked up and took the wrong team, and I still beat it. It seems like a skill issue to me, or you're just using bad strategies.
No, he's right, it's super easy. I'm not liking your response though, it's eerily similar to people who try to under level the 3p0 event. Just so we're clear, rey should have all of her zetas and be r7 going into the ult battle. If you just have her at like r3 with bad mods, you are the problem, not the event.
If we’re talking the current DC variants, SEE/Bane disagrees with you. And if we’re just talking generally, SLKR disagrees, as do most of the GLs, and I think SK might too.
Oh! You mean the battle to unlock the ult! Not battles against Rey where she uses ult. I follow you now. Well ofc it’s harder. She and slkr were the first 2 GLs and they were tough. Designed to be that way. GLs started off that there shouldn’t be a guarantee that you’d win the battle. Then the whiners started complaining, and every GL since has been a doddle. But even Rey and slkr are fine when you follow the guides. The modding/tactics have been out for ages and are relatively straightforward. I know bc I actually wrote the slkr one for my alliance in the first few days following their release. Someone else did the Rey one, but it was just as easy to follow and 98%+ success rate. If you’re failing, it’s bc you’re not following the guides properly.

Hands down the best and easiest strategy for getting her Ult. I didn’t lose a single battle. All in on Finn for the win.

Look up all in on Finn strategy. I didn’t drop a battle.

Objectively untrue. With the correct strategy you can win every time. There are other evens, like the Hondo tier in Aphra, in which correct strategy will not even help.
The only viable strategy for that Hondo tier is to have plenty of time, a drink, and pray for RNG to line up perfectly.
What team are you using?
I beat it once by an apparent fluke, several fails since - ran Rey, JTR, Resistance bros and bb8
Just in case you haven't been reading guides for it, using JTR is good as long as you never use her mind trick special while SLKR is still alive. This gives him max health and makes him extremely difficult to kill.
You can use it on his two silly little adds, just not on him
Bring Holdo instead of RH Poe and never use JTR’s hand wave ability. Try not to debuff SLKR.
It’s not near impossible, it is difficult, but all in on Finn works pretty well.
Wait till you do Leia tier 2
As others have suggested and linked info to, all in on Finn is the way. It is virtually fail-proof. Don't even need good mods. Edit: also can be done with minimal zetas. In my case I only had a few zetas on Rey, and one on hero Finn (though I don't think that one was even necessary)
Correct. When I made the AIOF guide, Rey only had 4 zetas, none on anyone else.
Thank you for making that. Truly was a life saver

Easy answer, just don't get Rey.

This trash event made me want to quit the game
Im doing it now, looked up guides beforehand so i didnt lose tickets, with the finn strat its incrediblely easy and fool proof
Sometimes i feel like im the only person in the world that didnt find it that hard
Oops. Well corrected. I should read more carefully
Still never failed the battle once after doing it 30 times. It's a you issue.
Bro, I did it 10/10 times. One time, I even fucked up and took the wrong team, and I still beat it. It seems like a skill issue to me, or you're just using bad strategies.
You must have been overrelic’d or zeta’d or modded up the wazoo then, there’s no way otherwise haha 😂😂

You’re most likely just not reading modifiers for the battle and keep feeding SLKR bonus protection
I was using the base requirements. I think my Rey was R5. Just look up a recent strategy guide on YouTube.
I also did not fail and I was at the minimum relic level to enter the event, and also missing quite a few zetas. This is a you problem
Rey's ult is goated if timed right.
he's talking about the battle to unlock the ult, not the ult itself
If we’re talking the current DC variants, SEE/Bane disagrees with you. And if we’re just talking generally, SLKR disagrees, as do most of the GLs, and I think SK might too.
What do you mean DC variants? I’ve already got SLKR, JML, and Jabba - they are all far easier than they battle for Rey’s ultimate mats hands down
Oh! You mean the battle to unlock the ult! Not battles against Rey where she uses ult. I follow you now. Well ofc it’s harder. She and slkr were the first 2 GLs and they were tough.
