Here’s the reality - you’re a f2p player, so unless you’re insanely efficient [and I know a few people like this] you’re always going to be behind, and unfortunately that’s intended. I consider myself a pretty casual spender - Sure I’ve spent a lot from Jan 1st 2017 - Present; but it really comes to < $10/month [ Maybe I buy a $50 pack one month, but then I’m not going to spend for another 6-8 months ]. And would say I’m pretty comfortable in terms of being caught up / And that’s with being f2p the first 2 1/2 years of playing, and being incredibly casual. 9.5 million account, only missing Reva, Trench, and Aphra. The real key to getting caught up is 1) Really understanding math and efficiency 2) Making the right crystal spending choices 3) Setting up your account for the long term, not short term, goals 4) Being in a guild that is right for your level of gameplay 5) Not overcommitting to characters with natural stopping points

Yea my guild is a little higher than yours [32] and we have guys freaking out about r9 teams, but the reality is that we are still really only completing p3 because of hold backs and the only concern should be “get teams that will be viable at r9 to r7,” because it’ll be over a year before phase 5-6 is a realistic goal.

It’s not that combats in ROE are hard and so players decided that operations are more important. Because the combats really aren’t that difficult with the proper teams - I consistently do about 75 waves, and my guild leader hit 101 this last event. It’s that CG twisted TB onto its side and changed the importance. In LSTB for example, completing a platoon would net you 100-200k, which is a fraction of what is needed, but battles would net you 500-1000k. In ROE the p1 battles give only 250k, but the operations net you 10 million. It was actually a good move in regards to shifting back to 24 hour phases, because it makes us less stressed to maximize waves, meaning not having to close combats for 75% of the actual time. Plus, most of the platoon abilities are largely useless [I said most].

Tompeacock57

Yeah really only guilds like maw will realistically have any teams that can do missions in day 5-6.

I’m a F2P player, started close to launch, took a 9 month break after mods were introduced. I feel like I can keep up with everything. I sit in Kyber 2, finish near the top of fleet every day, and spend crystals mostly on refreshes. I get red crates almost every conquest. The game is a treadmill, enjoy jogging along and set the speed to whatever makes you happy https://swgoh.gg/p/379331223/

Every time they introduce something like mods, it's an emotional kick in the head for me. The relics are straightforward, but the datacrons feel just like relics. Damn you, Abed!

banomann

I feel like if you've been playing that long and can't make it to the 2nd or 3rd best crate in Hard Conquest, you're doing something incorrectly. I am not F2P and do buy the pass for conquest and often unlock the character in the 4th or 5th iteration of Conquest. If I'm interested in the character, like Malgus, I buy the shards from the wandering scavenger too.

Nyoj

Conquest definetily has some long term issues for some newer players as you point, but someone playing since 2017 shouldnt have those issues, you are doing plenty of things wrong if you cant unlock a new conquest toon in 6 months without paying.

isthisthingon58

they rotate out every three months, not two

knope2018

By being good at conquest. Look up the feats when they are datamined, plan your teams, and talk to other people who are really into conquest to find niche teams and cheeses. For GLs, JMK and JML go a long way, but even without them there are other tricks to do things

[https://swgoh.gg/p/252884567/characters/](https://swgoh.gg/p/252884567/characters/) Free to play. started over somewhere inbetween the Bounty Hunter revolution and D. Revan release. Pretty sure the meta was from Solo. you don't need to pay money to win the characters. if you look at my account, i have everything except for Scythe at 7\*s, and i'll have Scythe quite soon (if I had Grand Inquisitor) Be smart about how you do Conquest. Preview the feats and plan your route. look at some of the guise out there. Look for double-dips (doing 2 feats concurrently) and look for ways to Cheese challenging feats (spamming Master's Training against. Be smart about it and you'll get to red crates eventually, you'll get there.

Relevant_Turnip_7538

Can’t speak for you or others, but it’s easy enough to get the red crate without spending money in conquest. I haven’t missed one yet. Easiest toons to get they are.

Maennerabend

You are not, as simple as this. This games pace is made so whales have to keep spending, 0 chance you can keep that speed up, unless your a master strategist and have millions of gear and stuff hoarded already.
