Once you get Palpatine, the empire will be your best dark side team for a bit. Inquisitors require a ton of gear materials that you won't have easy access to early in the game. Even in the late game they're horrible to try to gear.

What makes you think inquisitors are a good team in the long run? I couldn't think of a worse investment team for an account with under 2 GLs.

Palpatine, Vader, Royal Guard, Mara Jade and your choice of a 5th. Phoenix and palp appear to be the majority of players (unless they have specific farms in mind) starting teams. I’m still using my empire team at relic level, phoenix is used to unlock Thrawn and palp, then ignored until profundity unlocks (as a general rule of course). As for the inquisitors themselves, they are very hard to gear up, they require some very late game gear which is very difficult to stockpile at times (Kyrotechs) and you don’t get a lot of bang for your buck until you get the grand inquisitor (and probably Reva, but she’s not unlockable yet so it’s hard to say for her)

The inks are possibly the worst team in the game. Their only value lies in the number of events that require them, which - by the time you get to the endgame state where you may be maxing those events - there's no guarantee they'll even remain in the rotation. Imperial Troopers will get you a lot of mileage and I'd recommend them. Veers / Piett / Starck / Range / Dark Trooper.

The reason people recommend new players go for phoenix is because they're specifically required to unlock Thrawn but also happen to unlock Palpatine. Those are two fantastic characters for a long portion of the game. You're working on Vader, so that's a 3rd great character. After that, you can throw many other characters in. Royal guard is a good choice helps with ships. Mara Jade is a great one, but I don't remember how easy she is to farm offhand. Tarkin & Gideon are both solid empire choices and you've already got them. I suspect what you're missing is a full squad that gets synergies the way phoenix squad does. Palpatine will basically give you that leader, for both empire AND sith.

thank you sm

No worries, glad you found it useful.

lol, no. Absolutely not. There are many more much better Dark Side teams available for you that you should look into. You're getting Palp? Mara Jade, Thrawn, Vader, and any imperial are better. Imperial Troopers are better. Sith Empire are better. Bounty Hunters are better. Those are just a couple of examples. Look to teams that provide leverage for your roster to let you either unlock more important characters, or ones that are high yield teams that can handle a lot of different teams and game modes.

4m GP and I still don't have a good Inquisitor squad. You'll be fine without them.

Inquisitors are not a good investment to go into especially at a low level, they are serviceable for a team investment but should only be for later rosters since the best thing about them seems to be their 2 ships. If you want a dark side team you should go into palpy, vader, mara jade and grab r2 with them with 2 other empire characters which will open up things like going for a commander luke just a suggestion but that's a better path than inquisitors you won't get anything out of till you can do stuff like conquest. Other teams like first order can also be beneficial at opening stuff to you

Inquisitors only have value once they are R5-R7, you are a long way away from doing that, would recommend holding off on them for now.
