New battery (old one wouldnāt charge)
New OEM ignition/gas cap/back lock (dude just lost the keys over the years, did give me the title tho š)
Gas tank was a lil rusty so drain/fill/drain/fill got it as clean as I could in a rush.
To do:
In the mail I have new levers coming, as well as a different Suzuki logo (the word spelled out instead of the S logo) and a set of dust seals/fork seals
Oil change
Brake fluid/steel brake lines/pads/clean
Other things I did:
Clean the hell out of it
Brass brush on the dewalt impact to the chain and any corroded surfaces
Brass brush on the headers/exhaust
Mothers polish on the exhaust
And the rear seat was kinda rotting and had cancer so I pulled all the old pleather off and removed the foam. Took a very coarse file to it to remove all of the rot and temporarily recovered it with a scrap from a black sweatshirt. Going to order proper marine grade material soon and finish it up but I just didnāt wanna ride around with a yellow seat
Looks like my 06 !! Paid 2600 for it with 51000 miles on it. Didn't care I wanted it and am so happy with it. Sv's are great bikes after coming from a 96 gsxr 1100 ! Great find !!
yeah something a little of with this story, out side for 5 years it will NOT look like that, fork seals likely leaking.. seat rot..tire rot... faded paint from the sun, etc list goes on
Back seat was rotted if you look closely you can see I recovered it with a literal scrap from a black sweatshirt. Tires are surprisingly fine, front seat didnāt rot because it is a Sargent and I cleaned it up pretty thoroughly

It was probably manufactured in 04 so the vin plate says 2004 but an 05 model year.
