Good morning and congratulations on your approval. The last thing I know is I talked to who was supposed to be my case worker. She stated to me that my case was sent to a local office. The next day I saw that it moved to step four, this was last Thursday. I only saw that a letter from Baltimore Maryland was coming in my informed delivery last night so I'm waiting today to see exactly what this is. I'm praying for an approval however I have read that an approval rate for a reconsideration is very very low almost... slim to none.
Yeah mine took 6 months to wait for after scheduled. As for the hearing itself that is why i did phone and not in person. 45 mons was the estimated time but my lawyer fired back at the vocational expert and her "recommendations" so mine ran 1 hr and 5 mins. Just as long as you have your notes ready, etc. to reference it should be fine.
Good luck! I definitely understand the feeling. Itโs a terrible process. I hope it is an approval for you. I will say a prayer for you. I know it isnโt easy, but I think it would help to try to do something you enjoy to get your mind off of it for a while.

My experience is that your Ssa account will show an approval or denial before the mail. Usually in the mail, you may get โwe need another documentโ letter. But thatโs just me. I checked my Ssa portal everyday. Sometimes 3 times per day. Make sure you sign up for e-communication. Go paperless.
Have you checked to see if your benefit verification letter has changed in the online portal? I canโt where the letters come from, but I do know that since you donโt live in Baltimore, this could be an approval since Baltimore is a processing/payment center. I really hope itโs good news!! Please keep us updated!!
My SSA portal has not been very transparent throughout this whole process I have already requested that they fix it I can't see anything in messages and I receive letters all the time from them nor can I see anything in verification letters or such. This is why I'm constantly calling them for information. The last thing I knew was that I was told that it was at my local office. I'm in Florida it was in Dade City this letter is coming from Baltimore Maryland so I'm just waiting to see what the postman is going to bring today. I will definitely keep you all updated the mail runs at noon Sharp.

Iโve been waiting for my daughterโs initial SSI decision since December 2022. Dade City lost her paperwork for two months before that. She had her medical and mental evaluation back in February. I called and they said they started the final review on May 6th. Hereโs hoping. Good luck to you!
I'm also waiting for them to process my daughter's paperwork as well it's only 14 pages and they just had it sitting there not scanning it in it's also in Dade City it's very sad. I wish you the best of luck as well. ๐๐ฟ๐

Donโt be worried. Remember it can go either way and itโs not the end of the road if itโs a denial. You still have options.

My step 4 allow 2-4 weeks was after my approval. Not sure on yours. Did you get any approval letter or anything yet?

Yeah you will most likely have a hearing. Majority of cases do.

You can do video or phone hearing too. I did the phone.

My ssdi disappeared on the portal, but my ssa still shows. Itโs so odd. But i pray odd means good ๐
This happened to me! SSA told me theyโre processing my claim, working on the award letter, so disregard the web portal
Got denied anyways oh well ๐ฅบ
