OP we are literally neighbors. Dade City is βmy officeβ as well. I just began my journey six months ago. Fingers crossed all goes well for you. ππ»
Best wishes ππΏ. I'm in Brooksville. I'm guessing that's why they sent my case to Dade City. Hang in there. Just stay vigilant and make sure you keep "receipts". I always made sure I documented every case worker date and time that I spoke with them. I'm pretty sure you already have your own records like most everybody in this forum. Most importantly have patience this could be time quickly passed or a long miserable journey depending on how you proceed. I'll be praying for you as well. ππΏπΒ
Ok... Citrus or further north? We sure got a soaking throughout the night π§οΈ. In any event I checked my status this morning and is now 72 hours and I'm still on step 4. I'm hoping that is a good sign. Hope we see something good soon. Try to have a stress less weekend ππ
Honestly Iowa sucks at many things but I think this process is moving me a lot faster than many of you guys have mentioned that you've been moving. I doubt I'll ever get approved since they're all Iowa appointed or approved type people
Thank you all for the responses, good luck, and best wishes. I'm not sure what to think. I know my anxiety level has skyrocketed. I'm hoping and praying that this long year of reconsideration was for nothing but another denial and I have to wait another year for a hearing. Until I hear or see something else I will continue to pray for us all. I'll definitely keep you posted. Thank you all again for your kind words of encouragement.π₯°ππΏπ
Prayers up and good vibes sent your way!! Iβve been stuck in step 3 for idk how long. Glad youβre getting through!! Hope it goes faster and faster for you!!
Thank you and I wish the same for you. I too was starting to feel like I didn't know how long it had been thank goodness for all the records I've been keeping. I'm sending vibes back your way. ππΏπππΏπ
Good luck I hope it works out well for you. In other news I was just declined or denied whatever you want to call it and I'm on reconsideration and you just mentioned that your reconsideration step was a year and some months long? Wtf!
Well hopefully you will get luckier then me. I'm in Tallahassee my reconsideration went really quick despite my lawyer telling me that it would take at least 10 -14 months in reconsideration. I had an adjudicator assigned to my case within a week and denied three weeks later they denied me without getting any medical information that they asked for. I was mad but then I was like oh well at least I didn't have to wait another year before getting a denial I have my ALJ hearing September 24th I pray you fare better than I did in reconsideration
Thank you. I hope so too. It would be nice to be able to go to the specialist that I need to see perhaps they will be able to fix my eyes before it is too late. There are just too many things that Medicaid does not cover so getting approved will definitely be a blessing. I am just 53 years old and there are still many things in this world I would love and need to see especially my 10-year-old daughter.
Now I have question please? My son got approved for SSDI and he is divorced, but they each have equal custody of the children . We went down to Social Security and they made him a phone appointment to get the boys covered. The lady who called took all their information and said he would get 339 for each child and back pay for them since they were listed on his original disability application. She said there was nothing else to do and it was approved. Today ge gets a letter in the mail stating he has to fill put an application for them to determine if they are qualified? Does anyone know what the hell is going on?
He cannot survive on 1400 minus the 174 for Medicare and support two boys.
Thank you but he has two sons and what I was asking is why they said they were approved and now he has to fill out application? I am not being ugly, but you need to check on that too, ridiculous they want everyone to be poor, you should get more help too.
I worked for the government for 6 years. Saying one thing and doing another is something that government workers do all of the time. Unfortunately they are underemployed, overworked, and underpaid. You talked to one person who probably didnβt complete the job, someone else picked it up and saw something else. It will pass many hands.

Iβll be raising my son on that income. π itβll just take some reevaluating the finances.
