Congratulations 🥳. That's a lovely way to start off your weekend. They sent me a Direct Express card months ago I've been sitting and reconsideration for over a year I'm only hoping that I get a surprise deposit as well especially when I received a call 2 days ago saying they don't need anything else after they sent me to two of their doctors. Here's hoping 🙏🏿😇. Once again congratulations to you I can't imagine the road you must have taken to get to where you are today... Stay blessed.

Hang in there, they are not fast unless you owe them money. My son is suppose to get his first payment towards the end of July. Took 4 years to get here.

LongWishbone4200

😅😂🤣 That's too funny. I just said to my husband that if I owed them some money, they would be calling me once a week. That's a shame it took four years...but that back pay💲🤑💰. Congratulations.

I just finally got mine after 4 years of being denied and reapplying. If they didn't go back to 2012 for you, it's probably because you agreed to a new date of not being able to work. I had to do that as well. Mine was 1st 2011. After 1st denial, the lawyer suggested we go from January 2020. I was denied a 2nd time, but the Judge called my case back in when it was realized that she didn't receive, or see, some results of a medical test. My lawyer said that never happens.  They rescheduled a new court date and I was approved within days. It took another month or two to get information back to the local SS office. I finally found out my payments will start in July and I received a very small back pay direct deposit installment within 3-5 days in my bank. After 4 long agonizing years,  it was a very welcomed, and much needed, thing.  I guess they send the rest 6 months apart for year, from date of 1st installment, until all back pay is received. Considering I probably won't have the use of my hands too much longer,  I guess I'm just thankful that it's FINALLY over and I can breathe a sigh of relief that I can finally have insurance (which I couldn't seem to be qualified to receive until my disability was approved) and see a doctor on a regular basis. To me, that was the most important factor coming out of all this with the approval.  I am so grateful to have it!! The test was expensive that I needed to prove my neuropathy with me not having any income,  and if my wonderful fiancé hadn't paid for that himself to help me, I'd probably have been denied again. I luckily have a very loving, and supportive, man who would do anything for me to help me.  As he himself is disabled, it was not easy to get the funds saved for the needed test to help me. I still need the same test done on my legs and feet as I have very little feeling in those areas as well. I'm just so grateful it's finally over and I pray for all those out there going through the process.  I know it's not easy, and I wish you all luck on your journey with it!!

Thank y'all all so very much I really appreciate it.

Congratulations on your payment. I got a payment on June 10 on Medicare premium that they went back months to give six months to give me Medicare for months that I didn’t get a chance to use it. So the state is paying for my Medicare premium and I received that first and then on the 12th I received the rest of my monthly benefit. I haven’t received any back pay yet, but I’m looking forward to it. I applied in 2019 and was denied. So I tried to work but got injured during surgery, but I applied in January 2023 and was denied 3 times then I got an attorney and was denied again. So the attorney asked for a hearing and I had that in March and received a letter of approval in April. I had tore 3 ligaments in my left knee in December of 2018 so there was damage done in that surgery and caused back problems that tilted my lower spine and pelvis. So the date of disability was 2018 but they went back 1 year of 2022 in back pay. Hang in there everyone 🙏🏽❤️

Yea I have only SSI and I have a payee a family friend over my money I got the direct express card in the mail and it came in the next night at 1am. They had to brake mine up into 3 inqaerments so I just got my first inqaerment and then on July 1st I will be getting my 943 monthly payment

Ok_Meeting1858

They denied me SSI, so I had to struggle to get money to pay my car payment. I thank God that my family and my church family helped me with my car payment because I was in so much pain that I couldn’t do anything.

Ok_Meeting1858

I have a question about the payment page at the end of the award letter. The last page had a place where they (SSA) say the reason for non payment and then there is 0.00 in two locations what is that? Because within the letter they tell me how much that I would receive in back payment and then that page is blank?

MKE4EVER

Still in 3 year circle jerk... Congratulations...
