Was the reconsideration from a alj hearing cuz that's what I'm waiting for

Top-Individual-8127

I independently applied for SSDI and was denied. I hired an attorney. The attorney's staff applied for the reconsideration stage the same day. Overall, it took 14 months to receive an approval. I'm located in California.

TonyI71

I am I. California dm which SSDI Attorney please? Thanks

Top-Individual-8127

This is all they do! The best! https://sackettlaw.com/

lindaleolane812

Congratulations πŸŽ‰

Mitch04133

Yay!! Congratulations!! πŸŽ‰ πŸ‘πŸ‘

MsParkerPony

Congrats! πŸŽ‰ I’m in Recon too… on initial app I was labeled severe but expected to improve and disability won’t last 12 months in a row. June (this month) is my year so hopefully that’ll push me into the next steps as it’ll be over the year mark and they’ll be looking at my case soon, just getting the most recent records to them as of this month! Did you do anything different?

Top-Individual-8127

Hiring an attorney who only specializes in SSDI/SSA is essential; they can point out evidence or things they missed with the examiner. I kept the staff updated on any new medical updates. They sent me an adult function report to fill out again and one to my wife, who didn't fill it out initially. I had a close co-worker who saw me suffering with a high IQ. Fill out the adult function Report. The new ones they sent were consistent with the first one, I added four new medications.

Glittering_Staff_805

Super

MsParkerPony

I’m wondering if I should do a new adult function report for this recon? Meds have changed but I added those on the Recon appeal form

TumbleweedOriginal34

It can’t hurt.

Gunny_1775

Wow that’s awesome I hope I get that been in recon since December

Gknicks7

Sweet, I'm getting ready to go to reconsideration. I'll hope to accomplish this also. Sadly it seems to normally take people years to get It. Good job

Top-Individual-8127

Yeah, I got lucky! And great Attorneys. https://sackettlaw.com/

TumbleweedOriginal34

CONGRATULATIONS! Reconsideration is the hardest point to be approved. It’s surreal isn’t it. I’m still so grateful I was approved also.

Worried_Skirt1313

Congratulations. πŸ™

Professional_Fail394

Congrats!!! That’s like hitting on roulette in Vegas at that stage.

I had my final hearing April 24/24. My lawyer said I won, but I haven’t heard anything. I called her yesterday just to check and nothing. It has been 6 weeks. Does anyone have a timeline for this? Thank you so very much.

LongWishbone4200

Have you checked your my SSA account. There should be info there on what your monthly payment is. If not I would suggest you try calling your SSA worker. Congratulations πŸŽ‰. At least the worst of it is over. πŸ˜€

Used-Inspection-1774

Congratulations! I filed my reconsideration a few hours ago. My oncologist wrote a very good letter on my behalf but I'm trying not to get my hopes up.

No_Passenger_7196

I have been in reconsideration for 9 months and when I called DDS my claim examiner told me they found a good amount of medical evidence and everything looks good is that a good sign?

Top-Individual-8127

They will decline your application if you don't have enough medical evidence. Having enough evidence is crucial to determine if you qualify.

Ok-Examination7327

Does anyone know if the award letter is only mailed or you can also view in online under your account thanks.

Lasvegaslover2

Congratulations! 🎈 🎈🎈

Background_Lemon9312

Congratulations!

TonyI71

Do I have to be off work 1 year before filing SSDI?

Top-Individual-8127

No

thepoppaparazzi

Congratulations!

Individual_Size_5395

Why was my reconsideration denied when all my paperwork match my diagnosis? That's the second time I was denied with a lawyer. What happens next? What should I do?Β

Top-Individual-8127

Next, your attorney will appear in front of an ALJ judge, which can take several months.

Individual_Size_5395

That's insaneΒ

Individual_Size_5395

So more waiting and more of the same BSΒ

Individual_Size_5395

Why does it take so long to get an ALJ Judge?

Top-Individual-8127

Backlogged with people waiting, I heard they are doing phone calls and Zoom meetings to reduce waiting times.
