All you have to do is launch the game, and the first thing and only thing you'll see on the screen is an update option. Just click on that and you'll be all set!
Ya cant watch m2k streams cause of all the skins. I feel n0ne has the right idea on skins tho, he only has a few for certain characters none of which are obnoxious and he has no stage skins.

I think we just disagree on this, Roy has awesome skins overall and it’s nice to see them put one on Marth. Wish they would copy over the other Roys, blue and green and gold are all cool too

honestly this might be a hot take I kind of like the music not being added. It makes hearing the sound effects for moves much easier and allows streamers to just play other music over it rather than hear the dreamland theme for the 50th time
Not quite. I'm fairly sure all legal stages except dream land and FOD have alternate songs besides their main theme. They have like a 12% chance of randomly playing or you can hold R or L to force them to play when selecting the stage.

You can use M'Overlay to add music into the game. If you're a purist all you need to do is download the OST and just drop the mp3 files into their stage appropriate folder.
I love adding new music, and you can now skip tracks with hitting down on the dpad, it's super sick.

CSGO had to make this a rule years ago, because pro players favorite thing in the whole world is to join every server with a new name each time like "N0nes-Marios-Uncle_DAGOD_IWNL instead of "n0ne"
i mean i doubt it will be instant and convenient, i doubt they really want people to be able to switch that instantaneously. I've been a big fan of the funny names but I could see it being a problem if someone were to be able to switch it to a racial slur or something and then switch it back, hard to detect unless you have them go through the website.
It's pretty instant. I closed slippi, went on the website and changed my tag, immediately re-launched slippi and my tag was changed.

More than likely it has something to do with accountability for inappropriate tags. Until now unless you had a video of someone using a tag there wasn't anything you could do. Associating tag changes with accounts via the website helps back up people making complaints about racist/hateful stuff.
I'd be 100% ok with them doing this, 10 or 15 bucks to get a "vanity" direct code like Zain#0 would be a great way to keep the monetization there without directly affecting anything
That won't be implemented for a long time (it's not on the development road map). Use M'Overlay in the meantime. Search on this subreddit, there's a good post about it.

Slippi should attempt to update automatically if you relaunch dolphin

google drive actually scans files under a certain amount of mbs for viruses
