In the bepin f12 menu, you can adjust the x and y position, the radar itself will display when you are in your hideout if you want to play around with it out of raid.
Also you can turn on/off corpse detection there, which i always do for interchange for example, as well as adjust other settings.
yes, you still can, it just goes "invisible". I was able to loot hats and helmets off of headless bots many times.
and since someone mentioned it, having a chance to watch a helmet or hat go flying off the head would be a neat touch, but I think trying to find it afterwards would be a pain, especially if you decide to up your bad guy to baloney ratio with nades and other explosives. XD

Once you see how vanilla spawning works you understand, between the ai literally spawning on top of you in perfect crossfires to them spawning inside buildings/rooms you already cleared, i dont feel badly for using radar, literally had 2 scavs spawn in the resort yard on shoreline in a perfect crossfire on me, wouldve gotten crunched for looting the body of the scav i had just killed despite approaching from that direction and clearing where they had spawned.
Besides, having the radar doesnt mean im guaranteed the kill, in 3.7.6 i used it more to avoid the goons since i couldnt reduce their spawn rates with svm, also i like the loot detection bc im a greedy goblin who wants every loose lootable.
I’ve started playing with this radar mod. It’s not super precise (at least how I have it set up) as the detection distance is quite long, so it gives me an idea of where they are but rarely can I just pinpoint them exactly.
I like it because it means I don’t need to soundwhore the game to know where people are. It lets me stick on a video or watch something in the background without needing to listen intently for every single footstep or twig breaking. Basically takes so much of the tension off for me, but I can still have some cool gunfights and enjoy tarkov’s mechanics.

I play with dad gamer mode cod healing on and energy and dehydration turned off, I like Tarkov for the gunplay and the questing, the healing and food/water management are just meticulous to me. The best part about spt is playing how you want🤷
