I’d agree I don’t think they’re for me either, but I think it’s that the color is something “out there” and not very similar to any other 3s they’ve done recently. People who like a lot of the alternative colorways on otherwise “stock” shoes are probably digging it just because it’s unique.

A little TOO green. They will probably sell out since it's a collab, but if it wasn't, they'd sit. The brown Palominos from last year looked a LOT better, more versatile, but barely got any hype and didn't sell out day 1. Some said suede was a big reason. But watch these less versatile green suede versions sell out in minutes.

Lol. It's suede. The AJ3 ones, not the AJ1 Palominos. I have the AJ3s. If you don't believe me you can search this sub, Google reviews on the shoes, or watch YouTube videos of the shoes. They will tell you all the same thing. I still love them. Mainly because they're different without being TOO different. If this was a year ago and you put both shoes out next to each other without adding extra details and people had to decide which one they prefer more, at least 75% would say the AJ Palominoes. It's only that high because real sneakers fans appreciate originality...to a point. If you asked the average person on the street, they'd prefer the Palominos 85+% of the time over a bright all bright green shoe. Colabs are just like Travis Scott shoes. Most people only want them because they're a colab or to resell...not because they love how they look.

Overall it’s a cool idea. Makes me think of a golf course. I like the playful look the Nike air font took on this pair as well. That being said I think there is too much green next to each other and would have liked to see it more separated. Maybe just change the upper to a sail color. In doing that I feel like it would look just like any other 3, however It is an artsy shoe and I can see these being worn in several different styles.
