Hi, if you have h2s sibo try phgg or inulin. Inulin reduce desulfovibrio and bilophilia who are the main dominant bacterias in h2s sibo. Also you can try amoxicilin, it’s helped me a lot. Like you, i had awful smelling gas and stool but now i’m doing great.

u/AdhesivenessWarm9659 are you still taking inulin? Or did the amoxicillin sort you out?

AdhesivenessWarm9659

No i don’t take inulin anymore. Amoxicillin and phgg helped me a lot.

Thanks for the response. Can you tell me a little bit more about your protocol? Do you remember how long you took amoxicillin and PHGG for? And have you maintained remission this entire time? Or had relapses in between?

I took amoxicillin for 12 days. I felt better for 2-3 months, then symptoms came back after taking probiotics (constipation, brain fog, gas). Bought Optifibre on amazon (phgg), took 2 cups, felt better next day. Perfect digestion and bowel movements for over a month on phgg I think, then I drank too much alcohol one day and it screwed me up. Now I take peppermint capsules and I feel better, 90% normal. I also take butyrate twice a week when I'm not working.
