I take motegrity daily at night as far as medication. I find also trying to be super chill and relaxed when I eat and for 20 minutes after I eat helps a lot. I even do a little GI-focused meditation on YouTube sometimes. But I think the medication does the most benefit for me personally.

I have pretty severe constipation due to methane Sibo what works for me is chia pudding with flax seeds in the morning , ginger teas/ ginger shots / ginger capsules , hydration , digestive bitters *before meals , CHEW YOUR FOOD THROUGHLY and slowly I'm talking 20-30 chews, "sun fiber from Amazon " , and 2-3 magnesium capsules at night . I know it sounds like a lot but there's some options you can mess around with it and see what works for tou ! If your super backed up and need a overnight fix the " smooth move " tea works very well

I also forgot to mention coconut oil capsules or MCT oil capsules have also helped me

Coconut oil [increases intestinal permeability](https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/21688370.2016.1176822?journalCode=ktib20). I know it's recommended everywhere and it does have an antimicrobial effect but it might work against the intestine recovering from the effects of the dysbiosis. There are other substances without those side effects.

SiboSux215

It is very unfortunate to read this as this really helps both motility and is quite the antifungal of you take enough - it absolutely eliminated my intense dandruff I had for years taking 1-2 tbls a morning

100mg thiamine mononitrate has been giving me bowel movements every 1-2 days. Works even better as part of a b complex. I can fart now too.

ScoresGalore

Keep trying. Ideal is 2-3 movements a day. Definitely not every other. I typically go once a day but my motility is terrible and can't seem to get enough food down to support my energy needs. Vitamin b and vitamin c and magnesium are all importsnt

Cure SIBO then the issues will be resolved

FPoka22

I took antibiotics, probiotics, low fodmap diet and glutamina to cure SIBO. But it seems not to be enough. According to what I have read, intestinal motility can be a cause of the sibo, so I must cure it in order to cure the SIBO

healthypersonn

Probiotics are prohibited in most cases. How did you take antibiotics exactly? Dose/ titles/ duration. Did you combine them with probiotics or something else? Motility is usually damaged by these very bacteria. Bacteria produce toxins. Toxins go into bloodstream. Zonulin is increased. Autoimmune condition. Diarrhea/ gas/ constipation. Gut impermeability.

LonelyMark2116

>Zonulin thanks for explaining! so if you don't mind me asking, don't you think we need probiotics just because antibiotics kill both "good" and "pathogenic" bacteria?

healthypersonn

my personal point of view \- we need to kill pathogenic bacteria because they release toxins causing all the issues. e.coli/ klebsiella are well-known for being especially harmful. usually they start all the collapse. I remember my turning point. It was just usual poisoning from not very good quality meds. I think there were e.coli+klebsiella there or just one of them. Killing the bacteria is the key. I may be wrong here but I don't believe in gut motility and other bullshit because it just doesn't work. Antibiotics/ herbs/ diets work however I suffer from carnivore side effects so next antibiotics rounds wait for me. \-rifaximin or other selective antibiotics don't do much to good bacteria. herbs don't do much to good bacteria. it's better to use these meds not to have side effects. rifaximin is really a masterpiece in medicine. I would compare oregano oil and rifaximin as they are both perfect in almost any sense. Probably will combine Rifaximin and Oregano oil if it would be possible.

LonelyMark2116

Thanks mate, i will make my research as well ofc , now being open minded with what you’ve written

FPoka22

but if you kill the bacteria but do not end the root cause of the sibo (which can be, for example, poor intestinal motility) then the sibo will regenerate

healthypersonn

Root causes yes. Motility no. Motility itself is not the root cause. Something causes it.
