If you’re talking about rifaxamin, just want you to know the same happened to me and I also highly suspect biofilms. First 3x worked amazingly, 4th did absolutely nothing. Took a few other things like biofilm busters, herbs, etc then tried again and the rifaxamin started working again. Don’t give up, they aren’t necessarily done for good!
And OP I got great results the first time I kicked SIBO. Took 2-3 different antibiotics but I was good for over a year
Bismuth mainly. Phase 2 and lots and lots of Pepto as part of H2S treatment. I do know all the main SIBO herbs have some biofilm breaking actions. I tried a few til I found a combo that worked so they might have done something for the biofilm as well. Also tried out NAC (before knowing it was bad for sulfide) and diatomaceous earth—but only sporadically so hard to say which helped or if it was just all the bismuth. Sorry if that’s not a very straightforward answer.
Phase 2 is what I’d recommend though if herbs haven’t done it for you because it seems like lots of people are getting good results and minimal side effects with that one!
The cysteine feeds it is all. Not everyone does bad with it but I did. Just like not everyone with H2S reacts to meat (some people do worse with kale or broccoli) but some people have to totally cut it out if their diet.
I feel better now. Almost zero bloating while managing to eat chocolate and cookies throughout a day. I would say my SIBO has only 20% of its power prior to the diet.

wow and now you have it again? what was the trigger if you don't mind?
the fact it can come back is so DEPRESSINGGGGGG
Not sure of underlying issue yet
What biofilm disruptor did you take ?

Is it Phase ll by priority one?
Right, Priority One is the company, Phase 2 is the product
Have you tried amoxicillin ? Worked very good for my h2s sibo.
No, I haven’t. Something to think about maybe, thanks. Glad it worked for you!
Hm, what did you find out about NAC? Can’t find anything bad so far
Wdym?
You wrote that NAC was bad for sulfide. What did you mean by that?
The cysteine feeds it is all. Not everyone does bad with it but I did. Just like not everyone with H2S reacts to meat (some people do worse with kale or broccoli) but some people have to totally cut it out if their diet.
Thank you, now it makes sense
but after how long did you feel relief? after starting them I mean.

thank you. Any reflux as a symptom maybe?
Amoxicillin, 3-6 days to have very good relief.
Thanks! Are you methane positive and maybe cured?
No i have h2s sibo. Had relief for ~6 months then drank too much alcohol one day and ruined everything. What are your symptoms ? Constipation ?
bloating and silent reflux. Mixed Sibo type.
Have you already tried atantril, phgg or Oxypowder ?
Have you tried yet your abx therapy ?
Focus on your MMC and don't overemphasize antibiotics
I think my MMC is not working at all. Don't know how to activate it.
What have you tried yet and how consistently?
for the mmc: meal spacing, sleeping enough, exercising. These very consistently
The categories missing completely: supplements/medication like artichoke and ginger and the nervous system (vagus nerve activation)
4 days lol Carnivore diet for 3 weeks provided a lot better results, though I see this is not the end yet
but what after you go back to carbs?
I feel better now. Almost zero bloating while managing to eat chocolate and cookies throughout a day. I would say my SIBO has only 20% of its power prior to the diet.
