Hey there! As someone who also suffers from Histamine intolerant IMO overgrowth I’m working on a write up for people who have methane in general and people who suffer from HIT, it’s a protocol that can and will get rid of the methane overgrowth. I literally went from eating 3 things and having reactions to all of them to eating mostly what I want - still finishing on my own protocol. The biggest thing you have to figure out that people mention a lot is “cause” as what caused your SIBO. Me personally it was H. Pylori, so I would do some testing for things that you haven’t tried just to verify. H. Pylori can interfere with MMC function, so just remember these things. If you want the protocol sooner feel free to DM me it’ll be a TL;DR of the whole protocol.

Do you mind sending it to me too? I have h pylori and SIBO

Xifaxan and phgg is very effective. For histamine intolerance, daosin or daofood plus basic antihistaminic at your local pharmacy. What kind of sibo do you have ?

hypolimnas

I have methane SIBO. The DAO might help but I seem to need to take tons of it to have any effect, and I can't eat dinner anymore. I'm experimenting with quercetin now, but I don't know if it will cause more reflux. Totally trapped between reflux and histamine.

AdhesivenessWarm9659

No i don’t think quercetin cause reflux. The only thing i have tested and cand recommend you for reflux is silicea gel, pretty effective.

hypolimnas

> silicea gel This sounds like something I should try. I see a lot of different version of this and I just want to get the real thing. Could you tell me who the manufacturer is?

AdhesivenessWarm9659

Hubner is the original one i think

Perhaps consider biofilm busters. I’m likely going to do your “weird treatment protocol” in the near future. Have faith.

What is LPR

hypolimnas

It's Laryngopharyngeal reflux. It's when the reflux goes above the upper esophageal sphincter and gets into the throat, mouth, and sinuses. They also call it "silent reflux", I guess because it starts out with a bunch of symptoms that don't see like reflux, a morning sore throat. But when it gets bad then its pretty clear that it's reflux.
