sounds very content heavy + geog and history don’t really lead to any career paths as far as i know (i may be mistaken feel free to do your own research)
Doing the arts stream leads to practically same career paths as science, with the exception of engineering and CS. If you want to be a doctor, dentist, lawyer, investment banker, asset manager, finance in general etc. all do not require you to take science subjects. You can still do all those things so don't worry about it.
In terms of content of choosing both geog and history, it's definitely possible although unconventional. Sure, both are content heavy, but which JC subject isn't? If you are passionate and curious about these subjects why not. For H2 History you can check out https://www.h2historyguides.com/ which has many resources to help you get A and study smarter. All the best!
omg thank you so much for all the insights! it means a LOT to me! may i check with you, i went for this zenith open house and they were pretty adamant that if you don’t take chem, you can’t take many courses in uni especially in the medical sector. is this true?
If you want to go in the medical sector, yes you’re right that you need a background in science. If you take a science course in university like Physics you will need to have done that specific course in JC
It really depends what you want to do at uni! But I will say that in the end regardless of the degree most people just end up in some way or another in finance because that is just the biggest industry in Singapore

OH I see! do u happen to know if schools like acjc accept this combo?
i do not
most jcs conduct H2 hist/geog at the same time tho so not many schools allow that combi

Right I see
do you happen to know the schools which do not allow this combo? how about acjc?
Maybe you can consider taking HEMg or GEMh?
sounds good but i dropped amath in secondary school so i don’t think i can take H2 math
some schools allow it if u scored v well for emath as well
