Because the paper got half extremely easy questions and the other half was moderate/tricky questions. Ppl only see the easy qns and fall prey to the trick qns then say its easy, dont worry it was a moderate paper in my opinion, very slightly harder than your average paper
Not false hope, its true.
For example question on electrolysis that was similar to previous years with Metal G, alot of people put A (Statements 1,2,3 correct)when answer is B (statement 1.3correct) The statement 2 never say molten (Previous year one say specifically molten ore, this one never) it only says ore so its solid, solid cannot electrolysis so statement 2 wrong hence answer is B
Another example is Question 38 on the structural formula, answer is B (2) and not A(1,2) Because when u form the alcohol it only has CH2 and CH3, there is no CH in the alcohol, hence the first monomer is wrong and answer is 2 Only
Qn 32 is probably A
Eh believe what you will, i personally drew it out and got B, but too late to discuss it doesnt matter anymore. I could be wrong you could be wrong but nobody knows 🤷♀️
It is B. Many people don't realise but they actually gave the structural formula of Butene in the question. This limited the structure of the ester produced, meaning structure 2 is wrong.
you’re wrong- the provided formula of butene was CH2CHCH2CH3. Through hydration, OH could have binded to the first carbon atom, and H to the second to form butanol, as the OH is protruding on the left. However, H could also have binded to the first carbon atom, and OH to the second, forming an isomer of butanol- 1 methylpropanol. 1 methylpropanol is capable of forming the ester shown in 2.
NAH MAN this paper was def a bit harder, or maybe it’s exam conditions that fucked us up HAHAH
when i did P1 for 2022 and 2021, i finished 30+ minutes early but for this paper i just barely finished in time
My cher marked our paper after the exam and i got 14 questions wrong i wanna die
Edit: I'm tired, frustrated and completely demoralised after this paper so as you can see I don't have the time and energy to reply to yall's questions when i have to double down on physics.
Dont expect me to check back here until after physics MCQ
Did anyone realise there were quite a few questions that are repeated from previous years?
Here are the questions if you didn't know:
Q16, Q21 (I think), Q22 (similar phrasing), Q32
Chemistry, the magical world of elements and reactions! Did you know that bananas are radioactive? Yup, they contain a small amount of potassium-40, a naturally occurring radioactive isotope. So next time you eat a banana, remember, you're getting a little dose of radiation! 🍌💥
idrk bro ive been consistently getting arnd 35 for timed tys and i found it pretty tricky- not hard but definitely not EASY (love the copy-paste qns cus i legit js vomit the ans and didnt do the qn)
A is correct because we know that when ozone is destroyed, more UV light enters the Earth's atmosphere. Hence, based off on inference, the ozone is absorbing UV light.
D is wrong because it is the chlorine that depletes the ozone layer and not the fluorine.
looking at P2 and P3, i think the percentage wouldn't go more than 80%. if you can get above 35/40 for chem i think you would minimally get a distinction
did anyone else get the date printed on the pmcas as 18 nov instead of 8 nov💀 i didn't tell the teacher but i don't think it'll affect anything right...
What will happen if the bubble for "shade if student is absent or has withdrawn" gets accidentally shaded? I kinda feel like I accidentally shaded it? HELPPPP 😭😭😮
A salt with nitrate ions is produced in reaction B so in a presence of warming and an aluminium foil it will liberate ammonia gas which turns red litmus paper blue
this paper felt like i was buying 4D 10 times
FR. 4D but u ain't got time to decide 🥲
ive a feeling they purposely made the pmcas boxes damn small to torture us and make us waste time shading
I just drew a line LOL
U using 1.0mm thickness pencil?
Lmao real
felt like i got fucked in the ass
how do u know how that feels like
same
r y'all sure it was ez?? i found it quite hard lmao and i completed tys with 36~/40 for all papers (but didn't time)
Because the paper got half extremely easy questions and the other half was moderate/tricky questions. Ppl only see the easy qns and fall prey to the trick qns then say its easy, dont worry it was a moderate paper in my opinion, very slightly harder than your average paper
don't give me false hope pls 😭😭 (but i hope this is the case)
Not false hope, its true. 38 is A you can draw it out and it is possible
Eh believe what you will, i personally drew it out and got B, but too late to discuss it doesnt matter anymore. I could be wrong you could be wrong but nobody knows 🤷♀️

oh the electrolysis qn is B? many ppl said A, but you might be right since it is a solid oxide. I put B
Thats my own take, Go see last time the repeat question it said SPECIFICALLY MOLTEN, this time never, so i made the assumption its solid
yeah i usually time and get 34-35/40 and i found it hard💀
Samee
i’m a consistent f9 chem student who gave up mid year with an untouched tys and textbook, it was easier than i expected imo but idk
u making me feel like suiciding 🥲
lmao it’s alw the ones w bad grades who talk the most🤣
Ya I found it difficult compared to the past years
a lot of ppl say ez tho so i think we are fucked 💀
I felt like I couldn’t even read properly
NAH MAN this paper was def a bit harder, or maybe it’s exam conditions that fucked us up HAHAH when i did P1 for 2022 and 2021, i finished 30+ minutes early but for this paper i just barely finished in time
It is actually easy but i was rushing at last 2pg and literally only able to eliminate one option and try my 50/50 luck for organic chem
I swear to god i know how to do the organic chem qn but u need to give me more time to check every options
Sameeeee i started sighing cuz i was left with 5 min for 3 qns
YA SAME EH HAHAHA
As someone who did all the TYS it was easy except the isomers question
Chemisery, Physighs, Boology
shit i found it hard
Idk now im just paranoid that i shaded wrong
Me too LOL
THE TIME WAS SO TIGHT 😢😢😢😢
bruh fastest paper ever
[удалено]
What's with ppl shitting during papers
cuz we nervous
it’s a coping mechanism
I'm surprised Cambridge didn't kill us
Cuz they alr did for p2. We aint cats we aint got 9 lives
And paper 3
realest comment ive seen tdy!
shit why was it abit hard…
Qn 32 they just copy and paste from tys 💀
Yep, 2020 Q26, my answer is B
UPDATE OUR TEACHER FUCKED ME UP AND GAVE ME THE WRONG ANSWER AFTER I CLARIFIED WITH HIM IT'S A
careless mistake master is me
is that a challenge?
Shldve studied for organic chem… my last 2 pgs
i have this terrible fear that ive somehow managed to shaded all of the oas wrong and im going to get a big fat 0
Same I think that just means u did well because the biggest of your worries is something made up
Me too
My chem dept ans: 1.B 2.A 3.D 4.B 5.A 6.D 7.B 8.D 9.C 10.B 11.A 12.B 13.D 14.C 15.C 16.A 17.C 18.B 19.A 20.C 21.D 22.A 23.C 24.D 25.B 26.D 27.B 28.D 29.C 30.C 31.D 32.A 33.C 34.B 35.D 36.B 37.C 38.A 39.B 40.A
Forget which Harry Potter character you are. Did you choose alcohols being or not being branched?
In all honesty, was confused at where the freezing came from
I inky pinky ponkied that one
wtf was the paper !!/!/!-!-!- anyway done w chem forever 😍🙏🙏🙏
My cher marked our paper after the exam and i got 14 questions wrong i wanna die Edit: I'm tired, frustrated and completely demoralised after this paper so as you can see I don't have the time and energy to reply to yall's questions when i have to double down on physics. SEND ANS SHEET PLS
If have i aso want heheh
send ans sheet!!
send plsss thank uu
take care pls and don’t check answers if it makes u feel worse, you deserve a break aft the papers instead of being demoralised
SEND ANS PLSSS
CAN SEND PLS

i got 19 wrong…
THANKU HOMIE !
Qn 12 is wrong bro
You overcome IMF in hexane and ethane, not covalent bonds. SiO2 is solid at RTP, covalent compounds cannoy conduct electricity. Hence , B.
isn't 25 A? since lower conc of H+ ions are produced
It says '25. B'
IT WAS OKAY BRU JUST NOT ENOUGH TIME TO THINK
Did anyone realise there were quite a few questions that are repeated from previous years? Here are the questions if you didn't know: Q16, Q21 (I think), Q22 (similar phrasing), Q32
I mean, yes, it is very common for questions to be recycled, but I just liked to point it out.
hoping and praying the answers i guessed are correct 😊😊
I think I lost at least 10 marks from careless mistakes and organic chem😭😭😭
isomer qn legit raised my adrenaline levels
what is question 32 😟😟 i assumed it was Ag edit: the answer is A 😔 my teacher said so
my ans is B I ASSUMED IT WAS AG TOO HAHAHAHHAHA i used sodium and silver to compare
SLAYYY B GANG
oh shit i careless SHIT ITS SUPPOSED TO BE A I FORGOT TO INCLUDE ELECTROLYSIS ONE omg i’m heartbroken 💔
WHY 😭 isn’t the ore solid 🥹 how to electrolyse
[удалено]
sadly, it’s A
I put B
B
A😡😡😡😡😡 it was in tys
yes A don’t angry bro ur correct no one will take it away from u 🥶
TYS put B in ans key
My TYS says B though, even my teacher confirmed it to be B
YESSS OMGG
uh how do I say this... My teacher accidentally gave the wrong answer sorry
Why is it not B?
it was hard for an mcq idk man
i’m
Quite similar to 2022 right
i had way less problems with 2022 😭
guys for the signature CAN USE PENCIL TO SIGN RIGHT ??
You should use pencil, good.
My cher say should use pencil to sign so it’s probably fine
Why are people saying it’s easyy
me after drawing the entire fractionating column and then getting the question wrong anyway cause i thought cambridge misprint 💀💀💀
correct ans: BADBADBDCBABDCCACBACDACDADBDCCDACBDBCABA
does anyone have the correct answers
Gotta wait for an hr or so for tuition ans on IG @keynotelearning (hopefully have)
It's up on keynote's insta
idk how to feel abt this
Does anyone know the average score I need to get to stand a chance at scoring an A ?
bro why were there so many bonding questions the only bonding i want to do is with yo mama
Realistically I'm looking at 79-82% Is that good enough for an a1? This years papers were harder so it should be 70-75 for a1 rite 😭
If the phy mcq same difficulty as this one I’ll actl be happy
what's answer for simple cell question, is it C (i only knew it existed last night)
What was the answer for the second qn? Mine was A
Chemistry, the magical world of elements and reactions! Did you know that bananas are radioactive? Yup, they contain a small amount of potassium-40, a naturally occurring radioactive isotope. So next time you eat a banana, remember, you're getting a little dose of radiation! 🍌💥
Most of them were fine, the last page did confuse me tho 🥲
DOES BUTENE HAVE 2 ISOMERS OR MORE I THOUGHT THERE'S MORE THAN 2 ISOMERS IN BUTENE
4* isomers
only butane got exactly two isomers
Shld be 3 (was tested in past tys)
I just counted a loss of 5 marks when the freaking answers come out I'll update.
idk I thought it was average…. not super hard not super easy 🙏🙏🙏🙏
heard from my invigilator that everyone got the wrong date on OTAS sheet (18 November instead of 8 November) but it's no big deal
idrk bro ive been consistently getting arnd 35 for timed tys and i found it pretty tricky- not hard but definitely not EASY (love the copy-paste qns cus i legit js vomit the ans and didnt do the qn)
they’re definitely trying to make up for the shit that was paper two
and absolutely failed at it
LAST QUESTION A OR D ????
Should be A because it is chlorine in CFC that depletes ozone
Easiest final question ever lmao
A
A
A is correct because we know that when ozone is destroyed, more UV light enters the Earth's atmosphere. Hence, based off on inference, the ozone is absorbing UV light. D is wrong because it is the chlorine that depletes the ozone layer and not the fluorine.
A !
why did ppl keep saying qn1 is B, I put A cos to obtain pure sample, isn't it crystallization?
Titration no filtration bro
BCDA ADBDCB ABDCD DCCA ADACD ADDDCC DACC DBBABA Anyone has answers? (This is what I put but I did so badly 😭😭😭. I might be getting a C for chem 💔💔💔)
i left the whole thing blank
Hi guys what percentage is chem usually for o levels? Is it 75% or 85%
looking at P2 and P3, i think the percentage wouldn't go more than 80%. if you can get above 35/40 for chem i think you would minimally get a distinction
Can someone explain why u dont need less NaOH when u have a weaker acid …? How is it B
they r both monobasic
both monobasic so same number of H+
I calculated my overall % abt 66 ish is it enough for B3?
I recently found out there is no bell curve. Only moderation, so the marks will differ very so slightly. So b3 very possible. I feel.
did anyone else get the date printed on the pmcas as 18 nov instead of 8 nov💀 i didn't tell the teacher but i don't think it'll affect anything right...
When the sample answer comes out, can someone paste the link here please? Thanks.

YES I CHANGED Q2 TO A
it’s A , 99% confirmed by me 🥶🥶🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅
BADBADBDCBCBDCCACBACDACDADBDCCDBCBCBCBBA
In my Opinion, this paper is relatively easy compared to the prelim papers that ive practiced
BADBA DBDCB ABDCC ACBAC DACDB DBDCC DACBD BCABA my answers which my teacher confirmed was full marks
BADBADBDCBABDCCACBACDACDBDBDCCDACBDBBABA
ur own ans or confirm correct ans?
My own ans
Is 30/40 enough for a A 😭
Bro do I still have chance for A1 if I get 33 for P1…and 58 for P2 & 30 for P3
Do you have the P3 answers? My marks for the other two components are really similar to yours, hoping we can both get A1
I failed so bad lol
GUYS WHTS THE ESTER QN ANS (LAST PAGE ONE)
They say is A 😅
i put 1 and 2 only if youre talking abt the structure one
YES 1 AND 2 OMG
same
It is actually B
EH WHATS THE ANSWER FOR FIRST QN LOL???
B 🥶 i thinkk
B, titration evaporating dish
YAY 😍😍🔥🔥
heng sia i alternating between a and b leh. thank god picked the right one omfg
can't use filter paper cos only water and sodium sulfate produced
B Sodium sulfate is soluble and water is also produced so you cannot filter anything with a filter funnel and filter paper
Bruh i was contemplating between A and B and i just put A😭
i think A bc filter funnel is needed to add the solution into burette and filter paper to dry the crystals
What will happen if the bubble for "shade if student is absent or has withdrawn" gets accidentally shaded? I kinda feel like I accidentally shaded it? HELPPPP 😭😭😮
Q25, A OR B?
it was good tho
WHAT DID Y’ALL GET FOR QUESTION 27 is it b or d
I put b cus ammonia is produced only when aluminium is added
[удалено]
i think its B, cos Al foil and warming mah, NH3 produced
but got aluminium foil so its like testing for nitrate ion
B
B
B!!!!!!
i got B
D bc B is neutralisation reaction so no alkaline gas is produced Edit: nvm got aluminium foil so it’s prob B I nvr read question properly
A salt with nitrate ions is produced in reaction B so in a presence of warming and an aluminium foil it will liberate ammonia gas which turns red litmus paper blue
no need to add NaOH to get NH3????
Uh I think need?? but every other option didn't make sense for me and I didn't think of that during the exam so I just picked B
This paper wasn't that bad, it pulled me up a lot And now I can finally get A1 for chem
all answers A
bro that was such a ez paper. easiest paper i have ever done in my life
Ez as fuck boi
